Well, they're based in Wisconsin but I think they're scattered about mostly in the midwest (and I'd never heard of them until I moved to WI). I lived in the state for about five years but am in another part of the country now.

Back then I only remember Walmart doing price matching (I used to work at one of those too actually, lol).

I live in Illinois and I've never seen nor heard of that store, so it might be just a Wisconsin store.

I personally doubt it. Being that the DVD transfer in the combo pack is literally identical to the Masterpiece Edition/Un-Anniversary Edition, I'm sure that the Un-Anniversary Edition that was released last year will be as good as it gets for standard DVD.

I'm going to Best Buy, but I am going to call first to make sure they take the coupon (I've heard some horror stories).

I've also heard stories where people were able to get Best Buy to price match Toys"R"Us, in-addition to accepting both the manufacture's coupon and the upgrade coupon for Fantasia; making the total amount for this 2-movie Blu-Ray collection only $7. Not bad.

I suppose it all depends on the person you get. Good luck

Thanks for summerizing the points for me. Obviously reading more would provide more details, but I don't know if I can stand to read another colour debate thanks to this site. I feel as though consumers have zero say on such restorations beyond deciding not to pruchase so there's little point in ranting (for too long anyways) online about this topic. On top of which, like you, I prefer these colours anyway and they will not negatively affect my decision to buy this release at all.

At least this expert has true experience in the field, which as you point out gives more weight to his argument. I don't know if I agree about the grain free point. While doing that to live action movies makes them look flat and waxy for animation at worst it makes them look computer coloured. That and I've become conditioned by Disney to expect such since it's how they've been restoring their films since the 1990s and I'm not a worker in the field of film preservation.

Okay, I checked some shop websites, so.....

Toys R Us: $29.99 (Now, that's a bit much, don't you think?)
Wal-Mart: $27 (Always low prices, my ass.)
Target: $22.99
Best Buy: $19.99

Not sure if this is true, but someone on another board said it would be $24.99 in-store at Toys R Us, but I would double check if you were interested in getting it there.

I will not be able to get to the store until 5 PM tomorrow, after work.

I'm going to Best Buy too. I need to get 2 copies (1 for my neighbor, and 1 for me)... Anyway they usually take the coupons for me with no problems. They never scan on their computers, and they always have to manually take off the amount. They do read the coupon and make sure it is the same item your buying.

Yeah, I've used a $5 off any Disney Blu-ray coupon at Target before, and the sales clerk gave it back to me after she scanned it! I didn't use it again, though, as there wasn't anything else at the time that I wanted.

We're supposed to get a little ice in my area today (East Coast, USA), I'm hoping the ride home isn't bad because that's when I'm heading to Best Buy!

actually i was wondering which edition we in the netherlands will get on dvd, since we didn't get the un-anniversary edition last spring...

it's interesting to hear the un-anniversary edition is merely different from the special edition, im quite curious..(and curiouser lol)

we don't even get a two-disc, just a one-disc..hopefully it will be the new coloured edition, cause I'm really anxious to see what they made of it this time..
