@ Mooky: great pictures! The one with the "daughters of..." reminded me of the fact that I think Jasmine is the hottest of all Disney girls for a very good reason; but Belle looks a bit spooky with the yellow-ish eyes.
The other picture, with the 'real' Disney princesses is good, too, but I feel real-life Jasmine is not hot enough and doesn't match the cartoon version as well as the other girls.

I don't really understand the "daughter of..." gifs. According to it, Cinderella and Aurora are both daughters of Aphrodite (which sort of makes sense, I guess). What I really don't get is that Rapunzel and Tiana are both daughters of Apollo. I suppose Rapunzel makes sense because of the sun drop and her hair, but Tiana is so different from Rapunzel and as far as I can remember, there's nothing that ties her to Apollo. Is she like Apollo personality-wise? I'm way over-thinking this.

In mythology, Apollo is often described as being rather tempermental and unruly, but he was also the teacher of moderation and that one should never overindulge in life, but to take everything in moderation. (His sister Artemis however pointed out that he would often fall head over heels for his numerous love affairs with both men and women, to which Apollo jokingly replied, "I teach all things in moderation - including moderation.") I suppose it can be seen then that Tiana is sort of an example of Apollo's teachings of moderation - she's passionate like Apollo in achieving the dreams she wants, never overindulging in life like Naveen, and focused on what she wants.Linden wrote:I don't really understand the "daughter of..." gifs.
