1. I bought the Enchanted DVD at Target with the bounus disc...anyone know where I can find, or buy a DVD case that holds two disc ala Disney DVD Platiums? I want one where the 2nd disc flips....please let me know where I can buy one? I just need one, not a set.....
I've ordered from usplastic.com many times to get new dvd cases to hold previous Disney dvds and their exclusive discs (Cars, Ratatoulle, etc.). If you type in the model #3851 in the "Search" box on the site it will take you to the case that I normally order. It matches the other two disc sets really well. Hope this helps!

Cant wait to finally get the Enchanted dvd...

I got my copy at Target yesturday, and am also very impressed with the bonus disc. I'm not sure why disney would make this and then only release it with a fraction of the copies. It seems like a waste of money to me, unless it's on the Blu-ray too.

I went to the Disney Store first to see if they had any special offers, but left kinda mad because they didn't and the only copies they had were in full screen. They couldn't even tell me if widescreen was an option. I didn't leave the store empty handed though, i bought these awesome stainglass images of Aurora and Snow White. They pretty much rocked my world.

Back on track... Did anyone else notice that Disney changed it's logo above the title? They took out the underline beneath Walt Disney. I wonder why they changed it, I liked the line.

Oh, and something else that made me laugh really really really loud. If you find the pip's popup adventure feature that is the story of pip getting the prince to save giselle, then you'll know this quote. "Everyone knows that the best way to un-freeze nature is with magic nut dust!"

You know for some reason I was thinking Enchanted was a 2 disc dvd edition and if you got it at Target you had 3 disc. I watched the Target bonus disc last night and I loved it. Today when I opened up the Enchanted case I was like " one there is one disc here " lol >

I just watched the movie in the fast play choice and now I am at the bonus stuff. Well I got to go for now, because I want to get back to watching the bonus stuff :)

I am really enjoying this whole dvd of Enchanted that I purchased from Target :)

2. Who bought this movie on Blu-Ray? If so what was inside of it? Example the Enchanted DVD had a $10.00 off coupon for the Blu-Ray, and the Blu-Ray version have a coupon for the DVD?

3. Did you buy this DVD FULLSCREEN or WIDESCREEN?
about the case thing, The bonus disc and cardboard slip it fits into can bothe be comfortably slid into the left side of the dvd case! just put in right in front of the scene selection slip, thats what I did.

Is the Target bonus disc the only type of two-disc treatment we can expect for Enchanted? I already bought it from the Disney Store (because of the lithographs), but was wondering if it would be given two-disc treatment eventually.

DisneyVillains thank you so much for the site....but wow $5.18 for shipping and handling for something that cost less than $1.00 and weighs less than an oz.? My total will be $5.99, and I don’t want to spend that much for something that weighs that little. The most I would spend is like $2.50 most. Any other sites?

I just realized that Giselle is not a Disney princess since she never marries the prince, ha. It's actually Nancy who is the new Disney princess. Yeah, everyone else probably realized that by now. I just hadn't thought about it. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an official animated style design in existence for Robert. Maybe for merchandise or something. Might like to use it for some fan art, but if there isn't one I'd make my own.

slave2moonlight-Actually Giselle is a Disney Princess.
She's official thought she's there just to promote her film, she has the same role in the franchise as Pocahontas and Mulan.
She's not a real princess but Mulan is also not a real princess,actually-the only real princesses are Snow White,Aurora,Jasmine,Ariel and Pocahontas.
Nancy is not a Disney Princess but she's a real princess (well, she's like Cinderella and Belle).

Yes, I wasn't really talking about the franchise, but about being a real princess. But I'm glad if they are including her in the line (though in general I think it's screwy to include non-princesses, especially while not including Eilonwy). It would be neat if they included her on a princess DVD with a short cartoon, ha.

I saw this movie yesterday, I didn't really know what to expect from it aside from the two trailers I saw. Guess I'll break down different areas of the film instead of one huge paragraph :P

Songs:

I had already heard the songs about a dozen times so they didn't have the same effect on me as if I was seeing them for the first time They're pretty good though.

References to other Movies:

I'm so oblivious to things like this unless I'm actually looking for them, I completly missed Judy Kuhns spot and even after reading the credits I had to think about where I she was in the movie. Jodi Benson was kind of meh, if I hadn't known what she looked like or who she was playing in the movie I wouldn't have even noticed her, she would have just been "that secretary for the main guy" to me.

Acting:

I loved Amy Adams facial expressions, she did pretty good. Susan Sarandon was good as well. I guess I liked all the main 6 (Giselle,Edward,Nancy,Narissa,Dempsey, and Servant) I can't even remember the minions name, or Patrick Dempseys characters either. Nancy could have been used a bit more than she was, perhaps less of Servant guy and Pip and add in a bit more of her. I couldn't have cared less about her she was like an extra that gets used in more than one scene. Same goes for Sarandon as well, the villain was too absent for my liking.

The Animated Segment:

I liked it, but (yeah a dreaded but) there was something that seemed off to me about it, can't figure out what but I will eventually.

Non-Animated:

All in all I liked it, Amy Adams didn't overdo being naieve about things. I was glad when Pip lost his voice, he was like the Eddie Murphy of the animals, loud and obnoxious. For me Sarandon outdid other characters with her flashy entrance, and the elevator scene, as well as her transformation. On that note, the dragon somewhat disappointed me, I expected more, she could have been a bit more like Maleficent color wise, and perhaps in appearance, she didn't look hardcore evil, more like Evil in Training. It's a shame she had to keep talking in dragon form, it also ruined it for me having the constant chatter.

All in all, Sarandon pre-dragon = Awesome, as a dragon = Meh

That opinion might change after another viewing or two, it depends.

That's all I have to say really on the whole movie, definatley going to watch it again soon, perhaps today since my friend hasn't seen it so I might make her sit through it :P However, I kept hearing Giselle is a princess, and on and on and on from different people, that's a bit of a lie.

Disney Princess Merchandise, doesn't count in my book, the movies are what counts. So Giselle is just another heroine unless Dempsey was a prince in disguise :P but that's doubtful.

James Marsden = Favorite male character from the movie

Who in their right mind would buy any DVD in Full Screen, when this movie's Original Aspect Ratio was 2:40.1? That means on the "Foolscreen" version you will miss almost half the picture.

C'mon guys, we have to plan ahead here. February 2009 is getting close and the era of Widescreen, Digital Television is upon us, and the excuses about only having a small screen to watch your movies on isn't flying well anymore.

"Enchanted" is meant to be watched Widescreen with all the action happening all over the place and not just in the center of the picture. And the opening just is more effective when you watch it in Widescreen.

I bought both the regular Widescreen version and the Blu-Ray version, I have decided to try and keep up with all the Blu-Ray titles than I really want.

I think that after next year we won't have to worry about movies on DVD coming in two formats. They will all come in Original Aspect Ratio and I won't have to get up and rant about foolish people buying the "Foolscreen" version of the movies.

:)
The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!

This "fool" :P Actually, I bought both. I hate the ratio of the animated portion and I thought it would look crappy on the widescreen DVD. Thankfully, they didn't mess it up that much. The smart thing for Disney to do would have just to included BOTH version on the DVD.... (i.e. on Sleeping Beauty's last release)

I've only watched the fullscreen version so far (on my small TV in my room)) and I did notice a couple shots where they even cut out some of the actors heads.....

Listen up, Canadians! I got Enchanted (Fullscreen) at Zellers and it had a bonus disc. I don't know if it is the same one as the Target disc though.

Enchanted is believe it or not is my 1st Blu-Ray movie, but I still have not opened it. dvdjunkie, can you tell me what they have in the Blu-Ray version, as far as coupon etc.? I just want to know if they have a coupon for DVD in the Blu-Ray one like they did for the DVD on for Blu-Ray???

So who wants to place bets that if/when they make an Enchanted 2....Robert is the one thrown into a new world...the animated one. God knows Disney is so great at "original" stories for sequels.

Also, I noticed some lines this time that remind me of other Disney movies.

Pip says "mook". Something Timon would say.
"What villainy is this?" reminds me of "What sorcery is this?" from Gargoyles.
The line about falling off the billboard/building is also somewhat mirroring another line from Gargoyles, "And please, don't fall off the building this time."

There were other lines, but I'd have to watch the movie again to remember them.

speaking of Gargoyles, my brother suggested that after the death of Nirissa, a female cop should have gone to the site and said "but what could have made claw marks in solid stone?"

I love that you type that as if Enchanted was an "original" movie.
