I've found some images from the film's shooting and some info I don't think had been posted before:

• Emma Stone was spotted on the set with her black and white hair in some photos and a video.

That black-and-white wig looks horrible. Let's hope it will look better on film than it does in those photos. That crew gift logo is pretty bad too. What's with this movie and poorly-designed logos? Cruella's car is just OK. Nothing special, but I suppose it fits with the era. I would have preferred something a bit more outlandish.

I agree about the wig. I also hope it looks better on film. I'm not too impressed with how the film looks so far either.

Makeup designer Nadia Stacey talks about the film in a new interview. The conversation is a bit long. Here's a summary of the most important things she says, here the point from the full interview where she begins talking about Cruella and here she explains the challenges of creating Emma Stone's makeup and hair. The way she talks about the movie, it seems it's going to be a prequel to the 1996 film, doesn't it?

Here's also a promotional art from a canvas bag:

She did say something to that effect, but I'm not sure if it's something she personally assumed or if it's an official position by the filmmakers. The film will need to preserve continuity and take timeline into consideration for it to be the case. From what we've learned so far, it doesn't seem they care enough to do that. We'll see. I'd prefer it was indeed a prequel, but the content of the actual film needs to support that. It can't be just lip service done in the press to appease the fans.

^Well, I think there are some elements that prove they took the 1996 remake into consideration, like the decade it's set in or the fact Cruella will be a fashion designer, but when I posted that comment I didn't remember there are also things that don't match. Jasper and Horace, for example, look very different here (Jasper isn't even the same ethnicity) and Emma Stone doesn't resemble Glenn Close either. And I'm sure there are more examples I can't remember now. I guess it'll be something like Mary Poppins Returns which was 70% a sequel, 30% a new adaptation of the books and 80% a remake (I know the percentages add up to more than 100% :P).

A school girl costume reveals Cruella will already have her trademark black and white hair as a girl.

An early review of Hello, Cruel Heart, the prequel novel inspired by the film, confirms it and reveals it's her natural hair:
It's 1967, and London is swinging. Teen aged Estella can see all of the fun and fashion around her, but she's intent on pick pocketing and stealing what she needs from the stores, including Harrods and Liberty of London. Her sketchy past includes an uneasy childhood full of difficulties at school, self-esteem issues caused by her unusual black and white hair, and a mother who died mysteriously when Estella was 12. Luckily, Jasper and Horace, who were also on the streets, took her under their wing, and the trio lives in part of a bombed out building.

There's more info on the link, but I think it's more about the plot of the book itself and not so much about the movie. We've seen Cruella with red and blond hair in set photos, so I guess she'll dye her hair at first as an adult to hide that anomaly until she finally accepts herself for who she is.

The teaser poster looks very amateurish. Like a publicity photo for a community play.

I remember the very short introduction of the project by Emma Stone at 2019 D23 Expo was comical. I wonder if they kept the same quality of comedy.

The teaser poster is a bit simple, though to be fair, many teaser posters are. I like the choice of a black and white image with that red logo, though, and I think Emma Stone looks better there as Cruella than in that promotional still released by Disney. I'm really curious about the teaser trailer. Disney has already made the Youtube link available. Right now it says it'll be released in 5 hours. I don't remember Disney doing that for a trailer before. Have they done it with other movies?

The trailer is out: https://youtu.be/gmRKv7n2If8

This isn’t what I expected. It looks darker and Cruella doesn’t seem sympathetic in the way they made Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent. Cruella the arsonist perhaps? Color me intrigued. I really hope they pull back from any urge to give her a sad backstory.

Wow, I surprisingly loved it. Don't get me wrong, my feelings are mixed and I don't know how they will deal with her obsessions with her dogs. But unlike Maleficent, the character is still spot on and Emma Stone is FABULOUS!
