Okay... I loved the movie a lot. But this is a little over the top in my opinion. NINE times in the theater?

Oh, forgot to mention that the movie is showing at my school this weekend along side Harry Potter. It's free, so why not? It's better than off getting drunk somewhere. Lol. And, I'm writing my honors thesis on the marketing of Tangled anyway.

Yeah, there are a lot of throw-backs to the ‘90s in this film.

About the alternate introduction: I personally would’ve liked a more classical approach to the opening. I mean, the drop of sun, the hag with the flower (Gothel), and the dying queen are epic stuff for an intro.; I could envision an Anastasia-esque start to this. Instead, they have Flynn voice-over a clumsy prologue, which kind of undercuts any dramatic impact to what’s happening because of his comical tone. “Hey, you see that ugly woman--she’s important” isn’t the stuff of greatness. Thankfully, the movie manages to pick up after that.

Just a random question, but does anyone have high quality .png of those promo pictures we're seeing all over the place. I've seen them before but don't recall where to get them. I'm talking about the ones that feature the specific characters and are in ALL of the various posters and shit.

B/c Rapunzel is staying past her bedtime :D Not to metion, MG knows the truth of the laterns, so MG would flip out and not let Rapunzel see the lights anymore, thus there would no plot to Tangled.

If these:

are the types of images you're looking for, I zipped my "promotional images" folder and uploaded it for download here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?a9wr98cvzcbytyr

For the most part, everything in the folder is high quality, or as high quality as I could find it. I saved very few things below 1000px in either direction (in terms of these promo images). They aren't .png, but can always be opened and resaved that way to prevent any further quality loss. There are other files in the folder as well such as the promo images on blue backgrounds, faux scenes in the movie and a few images of Rapunzel and Flynn in the parks. Hope it helps. :)

ORRR I dunno, maybe another song might actually be better than it? Just throwing that out there.

It'll be sad if Tangled doesn't get any awards.

Personally, the music is pretty substandard in this movie. If it had a chance to win at anything, it wouldn't be the music. Too bad Pixar's given the Best Animated category regardless.

I haven't seen this piece of concept art yet by Lauren Airriess. I really like the drawing to the far right, although it's slightly similar to Giselle.

editttttt: I fibbed, I've seen it. :P I think it was actually posted earlier in the thread. .. but I still like it.
