I've been watching you guys chat with each other, and there are quite a few lively debates that have gone on in the past, and I saw one argument...but such is to be expected from a group of educated adults (or adults and teenagers as the case may be).
Disney has always been a source of wonder and magic for me. When they annouced Snow White on DVD I went on the internet to watch the various trailers again and again. Just the sound of 'that voice' going "The one that started it all" sent chills up my spine. I was never a very big fan of Snow White, and I'd rather watch most other movies over it since I have a problem with her character as a person (but that's my own problem)...anyway, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin have long been my favorite movies which were not released on DVD....but when I found out they were slowly releasing all of the Classics, I HAD to start collecting. I spent a month collecting nearly 40 DVDs, including some off of the internet. I also ended up getting the Treasures and all of the sequels (I'm a closet sequel lover! Though I cannot stand the latest trend of 'flashback stories' with short stories crammed together to make one longer story...i.e. Dreams Come True, Tarzan and Jane.)
I remember when I moved in with my grandparents (moved from California to Hawaii) that I cried when I found out that The Disney Channel was a pay only station. (We only had basic cable, no HBO for us...). My grandfather immediately started paying so we would have the station.
Not long after his death though, we stopped getting TDC...fortunately a few weeks later it was switched to basic cable.
My music of choice is still Disney...and I own every Disney CD "Classic Songs" that was released, in addition to the Princess Collections. Used to listen to Radio Disney for a minute...before I realized I'd much rather listen to my CDs.To this day, I cannot go into the Disney Store without wanting to buy nearly every stuffed animal in sight...every DVD, every CD.
I even tried to name my dog after a disney character...however, I couldn't find a good one.
Anyway, I've found over the past year since I started my collection that Disney goes far beyond a theme park and a few cartoons. It's the basis of my childhood, and as I've found...many others.

I like Disney sequels too. They're usually not as great as the originals, but they still are good movies! I don't like the package-episodes sequels, but I'll watch them anyway. My favorite sequels are 101 Dalmations 2, Return to Neverland, TLM2: Return to the Sea, and Pocahontas II. The other problem is that sometimes their songs are childish with June and Moon rhymes.
