It is my understanding that this will work like the retail DS Download stations. You'll be able to download demos from the Wii DS Demo channel, to your Nintendo DS. It is also supposed to be a source of information on all Nintendo DS games, and can recommend games that interest you.

This is very exciting, because you will no longer have to go to a retail location to download demos to your DS. You can do it in the comfort of your own home!

Oh wow, that is exciting, I'll have to check it out! How cool, thank you.

Does the Nintendo DS support any security higher than WEP? I'm currently running my wireless network off AES (WPA-PSK) which the Wii supports. However I can't find any information on the DS other than WEP.

I actually might pickup a DS (The new Zelda game looks great) and if so will use the DS Demo, and some online gaming. I would hate to have to lower my routers security settings though.

Mine is set-up, on both the Wii and DS, with a WEP key. I wanted higher security, but, when I called Nintendo, they said that, because the DS was created before WPA-PSK, it would not be compatible using those settings. I haven't had any issues with my settings using WEP.

Thanks... thats sort of odd that they didn't upgrade the DS to do WPA. Oh well I could always just temporarily lower the setting to WEP if I needed to use the DS online.

I got my Wii Remote Jackets today, and there ok I guess. If you use a charge station for the Wii Remotes you have to take the Wii Jacket off each time. The Wii Remote feels a lot more bulky with the Jacket on, and the A and B buttons are harder to reach. The added grip is good if the strap breaks or you drop the Remote. However if you are careful when you play the Wii you shouldn't have any problems with "flying" Wii Remotes in my opinion.

I'm going to try them out for awhile, but I'm not sure if I will continue to use them or not. At least they were free.

I personally don't have a charger, but my friend has had no problems with leaving the straps on with his Nyko one. However he has the original straps with the thin cord.

After using the Jackets a little there not as bad as I first thought. The Wii Remote still feels "bulky" with them on though.

I have a couple of the new Wii Remote jackets on the way. I don't really see the need for them, though. I have the second type of wrist straps on my controller, and have had no issues. Of course, I had none with the first type.

At any rate, I'm so disappointed that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed. I know it's going to be an awesome experience when it gets released, but, I still want it sooner, rather than later.

No matter, however. Super Mario Galaxy is due out on November 12th! I am so freaking excited for this game! I know I will enjoy it for a long time to come!

Galaxy is going to be amazing, and should keep me occupied until Brawl. Like a lot of people I'm disappointed with the delay with Brawl. However I know it will be "the game" for the Wii for a long time.

Has anyone picked up the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3? I'm debating on if I should or not.

I've played GH1 and 2 on the PS2 at my friends house and I was horrible at it. It was sort of hard to get into the games because my friends were extremely "good" compared to me. I really didn't have time to learn anything, and I'm wondering if it would be more fun if I could sit down and take my time and learn the game, etc...

Also how does the Guitar work with the Wii?

Gamestops have a 10 min demo you can go and try out, but I'm going to wait until its available. Not because of spoilers, but I know 10 mins want be enough time with Galaxy.

I've never been this excited about a video game before. It's going to be great, I've been watching the demos online for weeks. The official website is up, but it says "Coming Soon". This looks like it is going to be a fun game, hopefully it won't be too confusing for me. ;)

Well...I finally got my Wii!!!!!!!!!!

I can't actually open/play with it until Tuesday,because it's my birthday. Here's what happened:

My parents and I went up to the nearest city which was 1/2 away. We went to the following stores:

Wal Mart Supercenter-Said they were getting 20 Wii's in at midnight, and there was already one person in line(it was around 11 AM!). We didn't want to wait that long,so we moved on.

Target- No luck here...they were actually a little rude about it. They said," I doubt you're going to find a Wii,so maybe you should wait a while." It might not be that mean, but it brought our hopes down a bit.

Gamestop- We went to three Gamestops and found nothing in any of them. They said they should be getting Wiis in the middle of next week, but that was past my birthday.

K Mart-Nopeeee... They were really apologetic and gave us some helpful tips on were to find them.

Toys "R" Us-We walked in and they had none. The man at the checkout section said they would be getting some tomorrow morning at 9 AM. My mom was planning on driving down around 7:30 to see if she could get in line. Until...

Wal Mart- This was a local Wal Mart around five minutes away from my house. We called them and they said they would be getting copies in at midnight, that night. They would only be getting FOUR copies. My mom and I left around 9:30 and when we got there there was one woman ahead of us. We knew her,so it was nice to have the company. We were second in line! I roamed around the store, reading magazines and looking at DVDs. My mom and I switched on and off standing by the Electronics checkout. Soon, there were two more, the last two, people in line. The man and woman behind us were very humerous and kept us entertained for the long wait. There was an elderly couple behind them, who didn't talk much. Anyway,at 11:58 they brought out the four Wii's. At 12:00 we checked ours out and headed home!

I'm SO excited!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait until Tuesday to play it. Three more days!!!!!

What games does everybody reccomend to buy/rent?

Congrats! I have only seen Wiis twice. Once in May at Wal-Mart when I finally got mine (they had two), and about a month ago I saw one at Best Buy.

As far as games...

Super Mario Galaxy (comes out November 12th)
Super Paper Mario
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Guitar Hero 3
Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Mario Party 8
Warioware: Smooth Moves
Mario Strikers: Charged
Wii Play (Comes with a Wii Remote ($40 by itself), and the game for $50. Great if you need a extra Wii Remote.)

Congratulations, and welcome to the wonderful world of Wii! The game system comes with Wii Sports, which is a great game and will keep you pretty entertained for a while. Watch out for "Wii arm" (your arm might get kinda sore after playing for the first couple days).

As for games I recommend, I think DarthPrime recommended a lot of great games. The Wii Play game is a great buy, since the game itself is really only $10 (because it includes a second Wii remote which runs for $40). I also really like the Super Paper Mario game - I have this game and it is excellent, a lot of fun. WarioWare: Smooth Moves is a really fun game, especially to play with friends. It's kind of silly, but it's a lot of fun too.

...and Super Mario Galaxy comes out Monday November 12, and it is going to be AWESOME!! I obviously do not have this game yet, but I will recommend it anyway because I know it is going to be amazing.

for now the game that is still making me drop my jaw is the new Zelda game, i mean its the one that i've liked best so far. Wii Play is only good to buy for the "wii-mote" but as a game i found it disapointing, i much rather play Wii Sports and the Wii actually includes it.

I actually like the Wii Play game, I think it is a fun single player game. I enjoyed trying to earn all the medals in the different games. I personally enjoy the "Find Mii" game, I think it is a lot of fun, and I also enjoy the "Billiards" game. To each their own, I guess.
