Yeah, me too. But there is a reason for me: I've been an opinionated... ahem, sorry, I mean, I've been a naughty boy in the past and this is my punishment. It's okay, though. I love them all. :)

p.s. I admitt that there were some really nasty pms of mine sent to others. Shoot me!

I'm hoping the best for this. I'm hoping for something like the making-of on the Aladdin DVD.

This could be interesting. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm................................

I wonder if something about the statue in Copenhagen (sp?) will be on the DVD?

Those are some very pretty menus, and like everyone else, I'm really happy there's a commentary (and even happier that there's no ESPN feature on professional swimmers on disc one). This may sound kind of shallow, but I'm glad to see that the Disney Song Selection's back; I missed this feature on the Cinderella DVD. Sometimes I like listening or watching just the musical numbers of a film, and Disney's Song Selection lets me do that without press the chapter skip button 50 times. Disney's veing very sadistic in not showing us the Backstage Disney menu(s). It's making me even more antsy than before. Hurry it up with the full specs list, Disney!

I like the menus. But I'd like to say that I'm glad Disney put only 3 selections because that background is really nice. Let's hope the ocean and flags on the castle are animated. :)

I'm very happy about how nice this DVD is coming together. Only three and a half more months to go!

I'm rather a trainee as far as Disney DVDs go, so would someone be kind enough to explain to me what's all the excitement about this audio commentary??

Oh, and I too think the menus look gorgeous, especially the ones with the castles (1 & 2).

Hmm....Well, an audio commentary is when people involved in the film (most of the time, the director(s)) record a track that is them watching the film and commenting on it. Audio Commentaries sometimes also feature actors, composers, special effects people, or various others. I don't know if that is what you wanted to know or not.

Well, like I said above I've very happy about how I see the DVD coming together SO FAR. But I still have a question, which might seem silly to ask, now that the PE really isn't that far away:

Is it pretty much definate at this point that we're not getting a gift set for TLM?

I really hope that it does, mainly because I want the giftset to continue for The Jungle Book...TJB is one of my all-time-favorite DAC's, and it was the only PE i was hoping to buy a giftset for...

I must say that those menus are very beautiful. Dare I say they are better than the ones for Cinderella's DVD? They just might be. I find the main menu for the 2nd disc with Prince Eric's castle more attractive than the main menu for Cinderella's 2nd disc. And I must say, it looks like the main menu for the 1st and 2nd discs are going to parallel each other nicely. The castle under the sea on the 1st disc, the castle above the sea on the 2nd disc.

Anyway, what would be the best way all of us could ask Disney to release a Little Mermaid Collector's Gift Set? Should we E-mail them, call them, or each person should do both those things? And what address is the best one to send our complaints/requests to? What's the best phone number to call? If we really want this Gift Set, we're all going to have to do this, and spread the word! Every member of that Little Ariel Forum needs to be alerted!

I hate to say it, but I'd sit this one out, guys, and focus on getting the gift sets back for future Platinum releases. Simmilar to Boy Meets World not selling enough for a fourth season set, I'm guessing the reason that Little Mermaid isn't getting one is because one or more of the previous gift sets undersold. At this point, we know they're not devoloping one, so they would have to work REALLY fast to get a gift set out there similtaneously with the regular DVD. And given how promotional-oriented the books and such already are on the current giftsets are (*COUGH* Aladdin *cough*, I can't imagithat a significantly rushed one would be any better. Probably worse, in fact. Is that really what we want from them? Hey Disney Duster, I think that we should convince Luke to set up something to send to Disney. We could all write in it, and then Luke can send it to Disney. Not to pick on Luke, but he is the one who made UD, and I think that he is the best person to do this. Either Luke, or Aaron could do the job.
