I was thinking, the title is pride like a group of animals or pride as "I feel proud of..."
I think the title of the movie refers to both: Simba's kingdom (Simba's pride) and the one who Simba is proud of (Kiara).
that´s what I thought, thanks Joe n_n

Tarzan, twice! I swear, if this was released after The Lion King there would still be a "Disney era" in 1995! Yes, it's that good in my opinion. :) I especially love the Son of Man and Strangers Like Me scenes...

Bambi
Well actually the trailer to the sequel. I was watching it over and over again. I started to convince myself that Gary Cole would be a good voice for the Great Prince than Patrick Stewart.
"Bambi, what's happening? Ahhhhhhh, I'm gonna need you to come in tomarrow so if you could be around here around 9 that will be great. Oh, oh and I almost forgot, I'm also gonna need you to come in on Sunday too. Yeah, we lost a few people and we sort of need to play catch up. Mmmmmmmkay, thanks!"
It's 1 o'clock almost 2, I have nothing better to do than to think up these crazy schemes. Maybe I should go to bed then find myself a job. ;)

Tonight I'm considering either watching Pooh's Heffalump movie on DVD (yeah I know it's not released yet but magically I have a copy and it's not a bootleg!) or watching my Lady and the Tramp eBay bootleg... weee... same quality as the real thing, atleast picture-wise.... and a valiant attempt at packaging.

Before tonight the last Disney movie I watched was 'The Apple Dumpling Gang' that I bought a couple weeks back. :)

Escape To Witch Mountain

I love that movie and all the visual effects. There was a feature on different visual effects from different Disney movies.

Although a Pixar film, it's Disney in a way... I did a Toy Story / Toy Story II marathon. Great, great movies. But I'm probably the only one who prefers the first. But only a little bit more! :)

For the first time in years, I watched The Great Mouse Detective. The last time I watched it (when I was around ten), I didn't care that much for it, mainly because I was going off animation a bit at the time. However, after seeing it again, I must say that it was a great movie! :D

Pocahontas for the first time since it was in theatres...

Good movie, but I have to say knowing the history of how it all really happened compromised it a bit for me, but the next time I watch I will not think about that and just enjoy the movie for what it is, a beautiful work of art...

Brother Bear

I rented it from Rogers Video. I liked Koda and I found him cute. I enjoyed the movie.

ichabod wrote:The Black Cauldron. Is it Cinemascope? It it Technirama 70? We'll leave that for a vengeful deathie to decide!

The revenge of the dethi finds that Leonarld Maltin lists it as a Technirama production (Technically, 24mm x 36mm negative: 1.50 film area x 1.50 Anamorphic squeeze lens = 2.25 Aspect Ratio.)
35mm Scope/Panavision prints of the era derived from the Technirama negative when properly projected would have been 2.40 wide so they might have shaved off a little of the top and bottom of the Technirama negative (to make it wider), while the 70mm prints being 2.20 wide woulda shaved off a tiny bit of the sides of the Technirama negative (to make it slightly narrower). That is, unless they protected for both formats by composing within the common rectangle circunscribed between those two croppings  That would give you an aproximate ratio of 2.30 :-P

Anyway for the whole animated frame/background paintings fanatic the Aspect ratio would be 2.25

Whonoz if Technirama trims of missing scenes still exists deep within the Disney Vaults ready for that LoRodian 6 disc extended edition?

The Great Mouse Detective: Really good movie! And very underrated! I love the Ratigan song and the story itself was enjoyable! :)
