Disney's Divinity wrote:I don't know, they might do him again at some point. I would definitely get him if they put him on his mountain. And, this is just hopeful wishing, but I'd also like 6" pops for the Titans and Cyclops from Hercules, but we know how likely that is to happen. :P

I think they're doing a great job with Marshmallow. :)
I would love to see the Hercules characters, but, I think it will be a while before we see even the main cast, let alone the secondary characters like the Titans and the Cyclops. I think they will probably do Herc, Meg and Hades, though, with as many people that have requested them (including myself!) on the Funko forum.

Which of the Disney Villains Funko Pop are the hardest to find?

Also, do you know if Funko is planning on making more Disney characters?

Thanks

Professor Ratingan:

Could you post a picture of your collection?
Ursula, Cruella, Captain Hook and Maleficent are all retired, so, those are going to be the hardest to find right now. (Ursula and Cruella and Hook are all ready commanding high prices on eBay, so, if you can get them in stores at an affordable price, DO IT. I all ready missed out on Ursula and Cruella. (Hopefully I'll run across them one day.) I use to see them all the time, but never even thought they'd become scarce and/or rare. I regret not buying Ursula when I had the chance especially. I've YET to run across Chernabog in person. So, I think he might be rare. Jafar is another that's hard for me to find (I've only seen two and both had horrendous paint jobs. (And one had the Cobra Staff twisted into a 'J' shape!) King Candy and Turbo also seem to be rare (for me), as I've yet to see either. The Evil Queen is the one I see the most. (I should probably buy HER before she becomes another Ursula/Cruella situation. At this point, it looks like Scar may become a rarer character, due to how popular he seems to be. Both Barnes & Noble stores near me sold out of him in a hurry. And he still hasn't appeared at Hot Topic. Who knows, though? As for Prince John, Sir Hiss, Shere Khan and Kaa, they haven't been released yet. I believe they're due in late October/early November.

I would say Funko is DEFINITELY going to make more Disney characters. They've all ready got a second wave of Frozen figures in the works, and Lilo & Stitch. They've hinted that a Tangled series is coming. And then there's Big Hero 6... No need to fear them not doing any more! The only question is: what are they going to do next? Lady and the Tramp? (Surprised they haven't been done all ready, but it seems that Funko is only NOW starting to get comfortable with animal characters.) Cinderella? More Snow White, Pinocchio stuff? Or curveballs like Sword in the Stone, Pocahontas, Hunchback, Hercules, Mulan, etc? Personally, I hope it's the latter: all of those films are in dire need of new merchandise. And with Funko putting out stuff from Robin Hood, nothing is impossible.

As for my 'collection' (I use the term loosely: I only own 5 figures!), my camera is currently out of commission and I've yet to get a new one. So, you'll just have to take my word that I have CAPTAIN HOOK and SCAR for my DISNEY collection, and VEGETA from DRAGON BALL Z, CHUCKY from CHILD'S PLAY and HANNIBAL LECTER from THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS for my 'miscellaneous' collection. Frankly, I'd be far more interested in seeing Divinity's collection. He's got a lot more than I do. :P

Sorry for the double-post, but, I just found out Barnes & Noble's website was having a Buy One, Get One 50% Off sale on all
'Educational' Toys & Games. For whatever reason, most all of their Funko figures were included. Anyway, I ordered two Jafars! So, I'll have him in my collection! Finally! :D With an additional 20% off one item coupon, I was able to get both of them for $18.11, shipping included.

Now, I just hope both arrive with no paint defects and no damage to their boxes! *fingers crossed*

Ok.

Thank you so much!

Since I live in Spain here things are different. Although you can see the Funko figures and especially on comic book stores people here aren´t exactly buying them like crazy. Much less they know about the rarity of certain figures.

I got my 5 figures so far from my comic book store without any problems. They had Evil Queen, Cruella, Ursula, Jafar and King Candy; however, they did only have 1 figure for Jafar and King Candy. Of Ursula and Cruella they still had more (but I think than those the just had in store so probably 1 or 2 max).

As for next ones they told me that the next batch would be Captain Hook, The Lion King and Jungle Book ones. They had Maleficent but got sold out; however, they told me they would bring more.

The only one they didn´t have, and are not sure to get, is Chernabog. So that´s the one I´m looking forward the most for now.

PS

Good for you! Congrats! You´ll LOVE Jafar. I don´t know why but he looks very nice. A great adaptation of the character.

When you get him let me know what you think of him.

My bad! Up until now I notice! They didn´t get the colors right! Instead of red they used a very distinctive burgundy. A pale/old one. Still it looks good on him.

...and yet, the color of the jewel in his hat is red. This is so weird. Especially since the picture of the character in the box is indeed red. :?

Honestly, you're so lucky to not have to fight other collectors over figures. Ursula sells on eBay for something like $40-50. It's madness. Chernabog can be gotten for less than $20 on eBay, at least, in the U.S., so check eBay. You might be able to get him shipped to Spain for an affordable price.

Well, just got Chernabog; through ebay from USA. Will be sent to my family in Puerto Rico.

That was the only one I couldn´t find or they couldn´t get me in Spain.

The rest I can buy in Spain or in the USA.

I looked at B&N and I saw that Anna and Elsa were finally back in stock. I debated over getting them after reading about differences in versions of the two pops at the Funko forum, but I decided to go ahead and get them while this sale was on. I probably would've got Sorcerer Mickey and Kristoff, but they both are unavailable (at least, at the normal price).

Thanks for the heads up, ProfessorRatigan. :)

It's no problem.

I didn't really have the money to get anything but the two Jafars, but, I didn't even have to deliberate, because the only OTHERS I would have wanted (another Scar and the Evil Queen) were out of stock anyway.

So:

- What do you think of the change in color?
- Has he become that hard to find?
- What is a nice way to display the figures? I ask because they´re so small that out of their boxes don´t look that nice. So, how do you do it?

- Can't comment on the color change. Mine hasn't arrived yet! (Shipping usually takes a few days.)

- Where I live, he's hard to find. There are only a few places that seem to carry Funko products around here. Namely, Barnes & Noble, Hot Topic, Books-a-Million and certain Wal-Greens and Wal-Marts. I hear that Target is starting to get into carrying them. But, where I live, Barnes & Noble seems to be the only major place that carries the DISNEY series figures. (Though I've seen Mrs. Potts and Lumiere at Hot Topic.)

- I have my figures lined up on top of my desk in my bedroom, still in their boxes. I've made a spot for Jafar. On the 'desk' part of my desk, I have all of my Disney collection, grouped into sections by character. (For instance, Ursula stuff is over here, Maleficent in the middle, then Scar, then Frollo, then Jafar, etc.) So, the 'extra' Jafar will be put in with the other Jafar things I have. If I end up getting doubles of Scar or Captain Hook, I'll do the same thing with them. (The rest of my desk is cluttered with writings and drawings and my Blu-rays and other various toys. (Mostly Batman villain stuff and Universal Monsters, lol.)

While I certainly understand wanting to keep memorabilia such as dolls and toys still in the box, I honestly think the pop toys are meant to be taken out. Funko packages them in such a way that nothing has to be torn or undone in order to get them out, and they are super easy to put back in their box later on (I've done this multiple times when moving). I just keep my boxes stored away, and it has saved me a lot of space!

There was a while when I took my POPs out and displayed them. But I just didn't have the time to constantly dust them and they just took a lot of space since I can't stack them on top of each other and my vinylmation collection kept growing.

So for now, They're just in their boxes stacked.

Well, my Jafar POPS arrived yesterday... and they were both pretty beat up during shipping. I've contacted Barnes & Noble and they're going to exchange them. They just weren't shipped well at all: no padding, no bubble-wrap. They were just thrown in a flimsy box with a receipt and that's it. Hopefully the new ones won't be dented and ripped up. :(

That's awful. Maybe I've just been lucky, but B&N has always been one of the best online retailers for me (in regards to shipping). They ship almost immediately after I've ordered, the boxes are always the perfect size, nothing's bent or anything. Much better than my experiences with Amazon, which sometimes take a week to even ship. Sorry to hear about that, but at least they'll exchange with you.

My shipment should be getting here tomorrow or Monday. :P

I love the figure itself. It's one of my favorite designs, along with the Silence of the Lambs Hannibal, Vegeta and Scar. (Based on their pictures, I really like Sir Hiss and the Creature from the Black Lagoon and Two-Face, but, I've not seen any of them in person.) The color doesn't bother me at all.

My Anna and Elsa arrived today! :D I'm really happy because I got the older versions of them rather than the new changes (the old ones have blush, Anna has freckles, Elsa's dress-top isn't sparkly, etc.). They look great, and I'm very glad I ordered them. :) The only other one from the first Frozen set I might get at some point is Kristoff, but we'll see.

My area's B&N must be really nice, I guess, because they shipped every item in my order in its own box (Elsa, Anna, and a book), perfectly-sized with lots of inserts and those small balloons to keep the object from being harmed. :? It's nice to be lucky sometimes.

Yes, lucky! Glad to hear yours turned out so well. I hope that the replacements they send out to me are shipped accordingly. Each item in its own box, with protection? The only protection mine had was the receipt!

Anyway, I saw this fan-art and thought it'd be worth posting: https://twitter.com/OriginalFunko/statu ... 3344196608.

I hope that if we get a Hercules POP that it looks as good as this fan-art, because that is fantastic. I really like the one of Meg, too. Hades...could be better. He's not terrible, but he doesn't blow me away. (I think Funko could give him bigger and more translucent flame-hair and a more dynamic pose/expression, but, as far as being fan-art goes, it's a very good effort. Better than some of the official Funko designs, I'd say!) And I don't really care about Pegasus one way or the other, so, yeah, don't really have an opinion on that one.

So, I asked my Comic Book Store and they told me that, aside from Captain Hook the others (Maleficent, Prince John, Scar, Shere Khan and Kaa) are on the way. Captain Hook is proving difficult.

...lucky for me I found where to get him so I´ll place my order tomorrow if possible.

On other things:

1. Is Ralph discontinued or I shouldn´t worry about this one?

As said before just want the villains but if there´s a character I want is Ralph so i´d make an exception for him.

Thanks
