What are other people's experiences using these "free ticket" offers? I tried to use one for Earth last year. I bought a Disney dvd that said it included a free ticket up to $8.50, but when I printed out my ticket voucher it said "free kids ticket up to $8.50" on the voucher. I was frustrated because the promotional material on the dvd package didn't say it was only for a kids ticket, and I would have gladly paid any difference in price. I was afraid I would be given a hard time at the theater because it said it was for a kid's ticket, so I don't know what would have happened if I had tried to use it.jrboy wrote: * Movie Ticket Offer in Each Combo Pack - Up to $8.50 at participating theaters. Well, I decided I'm only gonna get Toy Story 2. As my dad said, what's the point of owning two movies? The only reason I upgraded other movies is because we had them in a foreign language (my grandparents) or because they're on VHS. Even then, I'm only upgrading TS2 because I have the coupon. Oh, well. I love Toy Story in every format!
I'll probably end up giving the ticket to my teacher or a friend, since I'm not really a theater person.

So pumped for these on blu-ray tomorrow! I managed to get my printer to work and I was able to salvage a $5.00 off coupon for Toy Story and a $10.00 off coupon for Toy Story 2. SWEET!
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Wow . . . I know this has already been replied to several times but I cannot get over these types of employees . . . it reminds me of the manager I spoke with in person at Target who told me they were not carrying the Monsters Inc. Blu-rays and "never would be," despite the fact that there was an empty labeled space for them on the shelf. Another employee had already told me that they were sold out according to the information on his scanner, and this specific store had been called ahead of time to reserve the last copy for me (guess it went to someone else).tlc38tlc38 wrote:When I called my local Wal-Mart today and asked how much they would be selling Toy Story for when it came out tomorrow the lady said they didn't have it in stock and that it has probably went back into the vault. I then told her that it is supposed to come out tomorrow on Blu-ray and she then said they weren't receiving it. This makes me wonder if my local Wal-Mart is receiving it at all or if I was talking to an idiot who didn't know.
If they don't get it in, this will be the 1st time to my knowledge that my local Wal-Mart hasn't gotten in new Disney titles.

To both of you: Why not use the 10 for each one?SmartAleck25 wrote: I'm only upgrading TS2 because I have the coupon. Oh, well. I love Toy Story in every format!
Anyway, it looks like I'll get my new BD player sooner than expected. it should be here tomorrow, just in time for the toy stories, not to mention princess and the frog I just got. Tomorrow should be a fun day.

Finally got my TS & TS2 at Wal-Mart after waiting until 12:30am (and having to ask where they where) they finally brought them out. I didn't receive $10 off for buying them both together (I am taking my receipt back tomorrow to see what can be done about this). I was only able to use the $10 coupons, the scanner wouldn't take the $5 and the $10 on the same transaction.
Walmart: the perfect place to shop for a headache at a discount price.
So you did use BOTH $10 coupons, though, right?tlc38tlc38 wrote:Finally got my TS & TS2 at Wal-Mart after waiting until 12:30am (and having to ask where they where) they finally brought them out. Yes. It allowed that because the coupons are for 2 different items. You can't use 2 coupons on the same item.SWillie! wrote:So you did use BOTH $10 coupons, though, right?tlc38tlc38 wrote:Finally got my TS & TS2 at Wal-Mart after waiting until 12:30am (and having to ask where they where) they finally brought them out. I'm afraid all the steps I took to get those discounts are no longer available, as it involved pre-ording sets that you can no longer pre-order. But I followed the instructions that Kyle posted earlier in this thread:BK wrote:enigmawing you said you got PATF for $2.88 and Toy Story 1/2 for $4, exactly what did you use to get to that price??
So the reason PATF was so cheap was because I used the two coupons and got an additional discount for pre-ordering the Toy Story combo packs at the same time.Kyle wrote:Copy and pasted from a post on IGN.
I'm going to try this tomorrow night myself. From GAF
INSANE deal: Toy Story 1/2 AND Princess & The Frog Blurays for $6 (total!) at TRU
- Print this (top left, $10 off PATF USA) coupon and this coupon.
- Go to Toys R Us.
- Grab a copy of PATF.
- Grab preorder cards for both Toy Stories.
- Checkout with coupons.
- It'll ring up $2+tax WITH A $10 PREORDER CREDIT TOWARDS TS1/2 because of a promo they have going.
- Go back on Tuesday. The Toy Stories are $16.99 each when you buy both. $33.98. Minus $10 preorder. Minus the two $10 upgrade coupons that are here. Use these 2 UPCs (TS1: 786936294507 TS2: 786936294521) on the site to get the coupons. They should ring up $4 for both.
Total price for all 3 movies: $6.
Holy ****.
Edit:

This will ring up free with PATF if you want. And the Toy Stories each come with a free movie ticket for TS3.
Guess I'm going to give that a shot tonight.
Wasnt even planning on picking up Frog, at least not this soon. But for I'd be insane not to for this price.
I've yet to pick up the Toy Story combo packs I've pre-ordered (I will sometime after the store opens in the morning) but yes, I should be able to get them both for about $4 due to the previous discount I received for the pre-order plus the coupons I've printed up.
Without pre-ordering the Toy Story combo packs (which took an additional $10 off those sets) you should still be able to get a decent price there if you buy them both at once and use both $10 coupons; they should come to about $14 total. Still not a bad deal.
