Siren's siggy says:
My country invaded Iraq and all I got was this lousy expensive gas!
Don't know where you live, but gas here in Kansas is $1.39 a gallon.

Picked up five (5) Blu-ray discs this week:

Cars

The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) - The original and best. The new Keanu Reeves movie sucks big time!!!

The Dark Knight - 3-Disc Special Edition

The X-Files: I Want To Believe

Bullitt - Steve McQueen in the best car chase ever filmed.

:D

Bought my first BLU RAY DVD tonight: Home Alone. The classic one, not one the fake one with different actors that has the name, but none of the charm.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

I think Siren was talking about when Gas Prices where like $2.39 a gallon and higher...perhaps like $3.50 a gallon...now it seems to have balanced out...one can only hope it stays low...like my dad said..he feels like getting a 300 gallon tank of gas at the price gas is at right now just in case it goes up to like $5 like at one point it was around here...it went from $5 a gallon and dropped to $2.25 within a month

Anyway I got via my Secret Santa who turned out to be Just Myself:

The Man Called Flintstone DVD

Secrets of the Furious 5 DVD - (was a bonus part of Kung Fu Panda disc)

Manchurian Candidate (2004) - $2.25 at Saturday Matinee

Mamma Mia! The Movie - 1 Disc Fullscreen Edition w/ Wal Mart Exclusive Bonus Disc I was really torn with this one. Not only because the only version my Wal Mart had with the bonus disc was the Fullscreen movie, but because I really wanted the 2 Disc Special Edition. Ultimately I decided to get the Wal Mart exclusive because recently it seems the Wal Mart by me only gets 1 shipment of their Exclusive sets and that's it.

I really think that Wal Mart should start selling their exclusive bonus discs with the 2 Disc SE of movies as well. Like if the one disc and the exclusive were $19.99 (like they already have), but if they also had the option of getting the 2 Disc SE with the bonus disc (making that 3 discs) for $29.99 or something like that, I wouldn't mind.

Your Wal-Mart didn't have any Widescreen versions with the Exclusive Bonus Disc?

(Then again, my Wal-Mart had a whole pile of FS with bonus, and just one singular WS with the bonus disc, so I grabbed that and bought it for my mom for Christmas.)

Camp Rock (with bonus Target disc), from my Secret Santa, Jim!

Image
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, from Bobby for Christmas (but I'm the one who bought it for him to give to me)
(the picture is so small because it's just the small-on-bonus-features one-disc [and that's the only/first 1-disc picture I could find...])
It goes along with my 1-disc TL, TW, & TW. So much for me being excited about 2-disc releases from Disney...

Nope, and the 1 Disc DVD movies that were packaged with the exclusive bonus disc didn't even have the white security tape on top, so I couldn't easily read if it was FS or WS. So I looked at the spines of all them, and unless I missed some (which I probably did) they were all FS.

It didn't bug me too much though because I know I'm gonna be getting the 2 Disc Special Edition anyway (I put it on my Christmas list, and if I don't get it for Christmas, I will be using the money I get for Christmas to buy it). I know it seems like a waste but I really want to have the SE AND the Wal Mart disc so I had no choice.

**EDIT** Scaps, I went back to Wal Mart today (after I originally posted this), and they had absolutely NO copies of the Wal Mart Exclusive of Mamma Mia!. That's right. 0. None. Zip. Zilch. NO copies. I'm glad I got the Exclusive now.

And

The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, thus completing my Little Mermaid trilogy.
