Well, I haven't posted here for a while, but it's worth mentioning I got the complete Alan Bennett's "Talking Heads" for £10 from WH Smith yesterday. And it also has the complete "Telling Tales" on a third disc!

Now, its not to everyone's taste, but Alan Bennett really is a UK National Treasure. I want him to be wrapped up in cotton wool and preserved for ever. Nobody will ever be able to better his particular way of writing.

Forget Pinter, Bennett should have got the Nobel Prize for Literature. :(
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I got a few DVDs after a long dry period. I bought the first season of 'Lost' but I think I had a post mentioning that already. Anyways the others I got recently...

Classic Cartoon Favourites Volume 8: Holiday Celebration with Mickey & Pals (should have been titled: Winter Wonderland Fun)
Classic Cartoon Favourites Volume 9: Classic Holiday Stories
Rock & Rule (special edition)
Pooh's Halloween Heffalump Movie
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas*
Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas
Shark Tale
Family Guy Presents: Stweie Griffin the Untld Story

*- yay found it! Since it was released I would see it appear ins tores every year before Christmas except last year so when I saw 3 copies at Wal-Mart I picked up one fearing I would never see it again.

Surprisingly CCF volumes 8 & 9 were VERY hard to find. I couldn't find them at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Future Shop, HMV or Sunrise... but HMV had one copy of each.

Then a friend gave me a ton of her movies. Some I'll give to my sisters...

Boogeyman
The Pacifier
Hostage
Phonebooth
Mission: Impossible 2
8 Mile
Old School
Meet the Parents
Meet the Fockers
Flight of the Phoenix
I Am Sam
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
I, Robot
The Day After Tomorrow
Miss Congeniality 2
Nothing to Lose
Formula 51
Gothika
Mickey's House of Villains
Jackass: The Movie
Mafia!
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
Assault on Precinct 13
Coach Carter
The Sweetest Thing
Monster-In-Law
The Game
Demolition Man
Face/Off
Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year
Winnie the Pooh: Frankenpooh/ Spookable Pooh

Despite them being edited, I finally bought The Muppet Show Season 1 for $15.99(with gift-card )

As much as I hate seeing things edited out, this is as close as seeing the full-lenght features we're ever going to have. Still the Muppets are hilarious with or without these scenes.

Wow, was she just bored with them or something? Judging by the majority of the titles, I'd say yeah she was (Phonebooth??? Billy Madison??? DEMOLITION MAN????)

She wanted to clear some space. She likes all of those movies though (well most and Demolition Man is on the list of movies she likes).
She usually gives stuff away to me since she absolutely hates keeping things around she has no real use for anymore or things she's bored with.

The other day I also got a new lamp from her as well as a very cool Mickey Mouse musical snow globe. She loves it but she can't stand the clutter.

orestes., I got two comments for you. :D

1. Mm, if you never ever saw Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, you could've used the BB.com thing to purchase it (did it apply to Canada?)!

2. Can I be your friend's friend? :p

1. I don't think Best Buy's Canadian site offers it at all. You do mean Bestbuy right? I don't know if they have deals right now are what since I'm pretty much out of the loop. :p

2. Well you can try being my friend's friend and many are but I think I'm the only one who gets all the free stuff since I'm also a roommate too! ...but hey there is a room available for rent here. :)

Happy Birthday, Lazario! I hope it was a good one!

By the way, did you get my PM? I guess it really doesn't matter, now, but I just wanted to know why you didn't respond.
