So, I bought this Cinderella book on Amazon. Yes, it is French. You can order French books from the US Amazon store! I couldn't find it in English. I knew that it used the same illustrations that the "My First Disney Princess Bedtime Storybook" and Cinderella: Signature Edition Target Exclusive "Cinderella: The Courageous Princess" books used, but...wow, it had 40 pages of so many beautiful illustrations! It was really, really nice! They did so many scenes lifted straight from the film, and showed different perspectives of some scenes like seeing her crying face as her father died, and showed scenes not in the film like Cinderella giving Lucifer a bath, and seeing the palace from the coach as Cinderella arrived. I am so glad I have this book! I tried looking for a Snow White version for a friend, but didn't find it. Maybe if you try, you guys can find more books like these for your favorite princesses!
I also found this cool flip book of Cinderella's transformation, also in French. Maybe you guys can find more flip books of your favorite Disney moments?
Hey Duster, does the Cinderella French storybook have any extra illustrations than the ones I showed you on Facebook? Would it be worth the buy?
I got the Cinderella flipbook, too. They also did one for Beauty and the Beast and several other ones. But I really wanted to get the Cinderella one, because it has one of, if not the most iconic moment in Disney cinema.

Oh, ok, well I hope you get your Harry Potter books soon, and enjoy them!
Lol, this is something only we Disney fans would complain about.
Yes, I hope so as well! Thank you!

Yes, the French Cinderella book has lots of illustrations not in the book you own! I would buy it!
I looked for a Snow White because I thought of you and would like to find you one, but I couldn't find one.
Yes, I agree, that Cinderella moment may be the most iconic moment of Disney cinema. It certainly is for me!
anyone know if these books will be available on Amazon? They are(or will be) available on bookdepository.com which seem to specialize in books from the UK.
^ The author bios say one works on comic books; I'd guess it's original artwork for the book, not concept art from the films' productions...? Of course I could be wrong.
thanks for the links blackcauldron85! Weird they didn't show up for me when I searched for them on Amazon. I like all the original art in them. Id love to see a series of books like this for the Disney Princesses that's not just another DK clipart-fest.
I can't believe you guys are disappointed when you get brand new art of Disney characters. There's only so much archival or concept art that is already made and we have pretty much seen it all. Jeeze.

I see that it was written by Charles Solomon, who wrote the Beauty and the Beast book as well, so I'm guessing it is probably more informative than the usual princesses books. I might actually consider getting that so thank you for the link
You're welcome I too was encouraged by Charles Solomon's involvement, but you never know with Disney.
Also, if you'll be ordering it too, I recommend you do it through bookdepository.com. They have some sale now and the price is lower or close to Amazon's but the shipping is free, so it'd be cheaper. I don't know how it is for you, but since the pandemic began Amazon's shipping rates to my country have skyrocketed, so I avoid ordering from them.
We used to have free shipping for orders above $50 but they stopped this since the pandemic and it does seem like they increased the shipping's cost. Thank you for recommending book depository, I haven't tried to order from them but I hear they're good so I might try this time.

^thanks! looks good, though I guess as is expected of these kinds of official Disney books they stay away from the criticism that always surrounds the Disney princesses as well like how some think some of the princesses like Ariel, Pocahontas, and Jasmine are overly sexualized or how unfairly excessively critical people are today of the Walt era princesses. Also I wonder if they will cover Frozen since they are considered a separate franchise.
another thing, I wonder if that Disney Prince art book we were supposed to get a long time ago was cancelled due to them feeling that it was weird that they would release a Disney Prince book before a Disney Princess one. Maybe after this Disney Princess book is out they will finally release that Disney Prince book as a companion?
