Very much agreed - but that's what Tumblr's all about. Stupid, imo.

FTFY.

Seriously though, the Disney fandom is one of the worst when it comes to this. Everything from toys to single shots of the film to character designs will be nitpicked to death. It's not necessarily a bad thing, as this thread will usually have something to talk about. Fine by me. Although many fans overdo it, I don't think it's stupid. It's fun to make predictions for things that haven't been revealed yet and then to see the final product.

I think PrincessElsa is the only one taking things too far in this forum. (I was just kidding about the "I'd ship em'" comment) I don't see how it's possible to have such a strong obsession connection to a character you've only seen images of. At the present time, while I'm certainly interested to know more and pay attention to the latest news and whatnot, I certainly don't feel emotionally attached to or in need of any characters to fulfill a personal idea of what will qualify this as a good movie.

Wow. Okay. I'll be quiet. I'm new here, and I don't really know the tone/approach of this forum. I am more familiar with Tumblr, it's true.

No need to be quiet, please by all means join in the discussions. I just think (and I can only speak for myself) that you maybe need to be a little more patient and see what Disney has in store for this character before getting too hung up on your own ideas, if anything to not risk being disappointed later on. Sorry if I made you feel unwelcome.

The problem with the Tumblr fanatic approach is that the higher you get, the farther you fall. It's great to be excited about something, but people on Tumblr get SO emotionally devoted and wrapped up in something, that when the smallest thing goes wrong, or isn't what they had in mind, it always blows up into this huge conspiracy of death and destruction. Things are blown way out of proportion, and the more that happens, the more people lose their grip on reality. Watching someone who frequents tumblr in real life is seriously like watching another species.

There isn't anything wrong with being a fan of Elsa, but as others said - we know nothing about her yet, and by getting SO excited, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment if she doesn't turn out to be the Greatest Character Ever Created.

I'm not going to deny my fan girl affections for Hans and Kristoff  , but their final product is not going to be a big deal to me unless this movie has terrible writing (which is unlikely).

I agree with what SWillie is saying, yet this only started happening with Disney characters when Frozen came into production. In fact, when Elsa's design was leaked, many "fans" of the original Snow Queen fairy tale complained that Elsa does not look evil "as she was in the fairy tale."(This is not even fucking true.I have read the story so many times, and there was not one moment of her being evil.)
We also have to consider that this movie is potential fan girl/fanfic food with the two love interest.Tangled had one love interest making people think,"Flynn is hot!And he makes a great love interest for Rapunzel!", but Frozen has these two guys which makes the whole "TEAM KRISTOFF!!!"and "TEAM HANS!!" thing.I have to admit it's pretty hilarious participating in the riot because we know that Disney is better than that Twilight shit.
But what caught everyone's attention was PrincessElsa's love for Elsa. Let's be honest, people are pretty much hyped about Elsa for different reasons. She may not turn out to be exactly what we expected in her,but we can still have faith.

PrincessElsa, you can love Elsa, but have faith. She's obviously going to be better than the Duke of Weselton.

I just realised Elsa could get filthy rich if she would just open an ice cream factory midway through the film.

I would choose Team Kristoff/Team Hans over Team Edward/Team Jacob any day of the year.

Yes Princesselsa, your devotion to Elsa is huge but nice. Please, don't feel sad or rejected, don't run away and lock yourself in an ice palace for ever !

Anyway...

You need another idea for Frozen's End Credits song atmosphere ? Check this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFBTgYJDDDM
... Winter treat to charm your ears and to cool your yearning summer... Did you know that wondrous icy song ? So "snowy queeny" ! Just picture the sad Elsa waking alone in night moutains... I'm not sure Disney will go that mystic, well maybe a bit...
" The Darkness Sets Upon Her... The Truth Lies Deep Inside Her..."

PS : well, she sings about Philipp Pullman's Nothern Lights heroin, but the lyrics fit Elsa so well i realise !

Trivia : the first 30 seconds of that song were originally created by Kate Bush for... Disney's DINOSAUR !

Another hint that Hans is possibly the villain:

So far, he doesn’t have a face character unlike Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff. Very interesting.

Yeah. It also means that maybe Hans and Elsa don't get together at the end because the princesses usually go with their princes at the parks

I heard like in March that Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff will be at Disney World. It says in the Disney wiki too. Yet it doesn't have a source.

Ok i have a good one...
Hans is so bad that, at the end, Elsa comes back to Arendelle, FREEZES him, and kills him !     Elsa : " I know he was handsome. But i had to ! He was about to harm all of you very badly ! i'm your queen, i love you i must protect you. That's what queens are made for..."

rotfl
I am trying find the logical explanation why we are so concerned about Hans.Is it because his character is so vague? Is it because the sexy bad boy stereotype is popular now?

I mean just look at the character description."Unlike Elsa,Hans promises never to shut Anna out;he might be the conmection she's been all her life."Compared to the other character descriptions,Hans' summary does not display any weaknesses nor goals. It makes him look like Bella Swan.Although it is a poor character description,it is clever and convincing at the same time because what we now perceive of Hans is Anna's idealization of him.Cheers to the directors for that! This is why the sister's relationship is the more important arc.The moral is that family bonds are more authentic to us than school girl crushes. .

And there is the infamous HansXElsa pairing. Why would these two go well if we hardly know about them? That is exactly why. They are both characters of mystery.Do you have any idea how much sexual tension a mysterious person can create?.It's in the book, mysterious characters are the sexiest.(Remember,Kristoff will not be as mysterious because he has a backstory introduced in the film.He is alos given more screen time). But que cera cera.Whatever pairing will be.
