Heh, my local comic book store has a monthly get together night that culminates in a game of geek trivia. Everyone comes home with a prize, usually consisting of unsold items they keep in the back. There are a lot of Domo Pops available as prizes each month, and they remain there the next month, without shrinking in size.ProfessorRatigan wrote:I only have two Barnes & Noble stores near me... I called them both and neither are having the sale. Well, one is, but only for Domo POPS (and who the hell wants THOSE?). I'm bummed. Ah, well. Some other time.

He's just so...UGLY. I don't even technically know what he's from. A video game, I think, but, I'm unsure. And I don't even care to Google it because why bother?
I was really hoping my B&N would have this sale. I really wanted to get Scar. (Neither carry Jafar, much to my chagrin.)

That's too bad, Prof. Ratigan. You don't have Jafar yet?
Apparently Aurora (the original, animated version) won't be out until next year and Tangled is coming next year, too. I hope Rapunzel turns out well, since she's probably the only one from that set I'll be getting. And maybe a Hot Topic exclusive of Rapunzel with brown hair?
I've seen the BH6 pops and, even though I might like some of those characters, I have zero plans to get any of those. I just think they aren't distinctive or nice-looking at all.

No, I still haven't gotten him yet. I know, I know. It's just, I'm so worried about ordering online and getting ones with paint defects. Most of the Jafars I've seen listed on eBay, for instance, that have had pictures, have had wonky-looking mustaches and eyes. Thankfully, BOTH of my local Barnes & Nobles stores have Scar in stock (at least, their website is saying they do.) So, next time I get some coupons, I'm definitely going to be picking him up.Disney's Divinity wrote:That's too bad, Prof. Ratigan. You don't have Jafar yet?![]()
I heard about Aurora being delayed, but this is the first I'm hearing of Tangled. It doesn't surprise me, though. I honestly expected them sooner than this. (I'm guessing it was a design issue--her hair--that held them back this long!) I'm still shocked we haven't gotten Aladdin yet.
Anyway, I went to my nearest Hot Topic yesterday. I figured I'd check and see if they had any Disney releases while I was there, but I really went because Hot Topic has an exclusive of Goku from Dragon Ball Z and one of my closest friends is obsessed with the series and Goku in particular, so I was hoping to get it for him as a Christmas gift. They had just one Goku (who, apparently, is becoming scarcer and scarcer due to demand) but the box was damaged. But, since the store was having an entire Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off sale, I decided to go ahead and get it. My friend is the type who will probably open the box anyway. I got Vegeta for myself, because I use to be huge into DBZ and he was my favorite character as a kid. (Still have a lot of my old action figures and Vegeta easily has the most presence in my collection, lol.) So, my own little Funko 'collection' (which had heretofore been a dream) is slowly but surely becoming a reality!

I also read rumors that Aladdin and TRON will be coming next year. I hope so; I'll definitely snatch Aladdin up.
I guess I've been lucky as far as defects go, since I've ordered so many online in the past. Or maybe a few things I'm not picky about? Either way, the only thing I've ordered online that disappointed me was Donald Duck. The paintjob was fine, but one of the legs was bent so he wouldn't stand easily.
Oh, well. I don't blame you for being picky about Jafar though, since he's one of your favorite characters. I was just looking closer at my Jafar and his mustache isn't symmetrical (the left is a smidgen higher than the right side), but it doesn't bother me, personally.
Honestly, I'm surprised by how large my own collection is when I counted them the other day. I've just breached 40.
If they ever do these for some of my other favorite media, then I'll really have to worry.
It was already hard enough to pass over Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins, considering how great they looked.

I recently got the entire frozen set and they were all perfect, aside from Kristoff's box.
I'm running out space. My vinylmation collection is huge and I only have one row left in my shelf.... And I'm thinking about the other funko pops that I want..
BH6 -7 figures!!!
Smaug - 2 potential figures.
Bilbo - 1
Lion King - maybe 2 figures..
I don't have space at all! lol

Re: Funko POP! Disney
I've seen figures with bent legs before in stores and been like, "Yeesh, if I ordered one and it arrived like this, I'd be furious." I don't blame you. I've seen Jafars that have had the Cobra Staff all bent to hell. Which is another concern I've had ordering him. I may be too picky, though, I admit. I actually have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and that makes little details just weigh on my mind. (It's really bad with books, for me. If a cover is torn, ripped, written on, or a page bent, crumpled, stained, what have you, it drives me CRAZY. I can't stop thinking about it and end up having to get a replacement. It's just how my brain works.)
And 40! Wow! I've admittedly put off buying these for myself, but I have bought several for friends. (They make great gifts.) Goku, as I mentioned, and Cruella De Vil, Miss Piggy and I'll probably end up buying a few more before the year is out. (I'm thinking it's going to be a Funko-themed Christmas. All my friends are getting a POP figure!)
Have there been any figures that you've passed up that you ended up regretting? I'm kicking myself now for not buying Ursula, Captain Hook and the Wicked Witch of the West when I had the chance.

Ugh, don't get me started on figures that I want! The Disney Villains are my main wants, but I'm really thinking about trying to complete the Dragon Ball Z set now that I have Vegeta. At the very least, I know I want Frieza and Cell now, too. I'd like to get Chucky from the Child's Play films. He's a big childhood nightmare of mine. (Really, he was the ONLY horror icon I was afraid of as a kid, and I watched tons of horror films. I can't explain WHY he frightened me, but I think it was because he was a TOY and, unlike the other horror villains, actually went after a small child!) So, I find myself kind of nostalgic for the character, if that makes sense. The Universal Monsters are coming out now, too, and while I'd like them more if they were colored Black & White, I really want the Bride of Frankenstein and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. If they did the Invisible Man, I'd want him, too. (Those are my three favorite Universal Monster films, incidentally.) And it appears Funko is also making a Nosferatu Count Orlok figure. And I absolutely love Nosferatu. So, now I want THAT one. Ugh. They just have so many that I find myself wanting and feeling despair that I'm not going to be able to get them before they're retired.taei wrote:I'm running out space. Re: Funko POP! Disney
I think I also have a small case of OCD. I say small now because I was much worse when I was younger. Two things have helped me move beyond it--video games like Final Fantasy that would suck my life away if I tried to 100% and confined living space that forces me to be slightly junky (which drives me crazy, but no choice).
Maybe the 40 is less bad when you consider I had 3 versions of Ariel and Ursula (the regular POPs, the mettalics, and the minis), and two versions of the Evil Queen and Maleficent (normal and mini). I haven't really let anything pass me by, thankfully, except perhaps the recent Anna/Elsa figures, but I expect them to be re-stocked like what happened with Wreck-It Ralph...which I still haven't got, btw.

Re: Funko POP! Disney
I received some 15% Off coupons from Barnes & Noble last night and stopped by there today. I checked the website to make sure a second time, and both stores had Scar listed as, 'In Stock.' I went to the first store and made my way to the POP! display and began shoving the Simbas and Timons and Pumbaas and Rafikis...only to find, alas, no Scar! They had EVERY single other one... and multiples of them besides...except for the one *I* want. Just my luck. I DID, however, find Captain Hook, who is retired. That surprised me. I went ahead and got him. (Though I may end up giving him to a friend as a Christmas gift... I haven't decided yet.) I asked the sales clerk and he said that they had the Scar POPS! on order, and that, for whatever reason, that made it 'appear' to be in stock on their website. But, he said, the store across town definitely had them in. So, with that, I drove to the other end of town and, sure enough, THAT store DID. They had two. One who was horribly bent inside its box, its face pressed against the plastic and smearing a line of paint down the front of the inside... Obviously, that one was a no-go. The other had a dinged up corner, but a relatively blemish-free paint-job. So, I went with that one.
Too long, didn't read version: I got Captain Hook and Scar!

Wow, not one Hans?
But I can understand, because Elsa/Anna would sell better. I would love him in his prince attire and his blue cloak.
I'm glad I skipped on the first set other than the Frozen Anna exclusive, because I'm going to have to get all of these (except Olaf). Well, I might skip young Anna, I'll decide later.

Re: Funko POP! Disney
Seeing as how I wasn't the biggest Frozen fan, I'll be passing on these just like I did the first wave. The only character I'd be interested in is Hans. Just because he is, technically, one of the Villains, and I'd like, one day, to have ALL of the Villain Funkos lined up in order on a shelf, even the ones I don't...care for. Because I'm silly like that. It's more about consistency than anything.
I wonder when the Lilo & Stitch figures are due? I'm still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Robin Hood/Jungle Book figures in stores. Gotta have that Sir Hiss!

Speaking of Frozen POP...

This prototype leaked a few days ago. Hoping for a non angry version as well. Hopefully with tiara.

Re: Funko POP! Disney
I am for sure getting coronation anna and elsa.
Although I am not sure why Anna has the same exact pose in both figures.
As for Elsa, I can see four potential variants:
-Elsa with gloves.
-Elsa without a cape
-Elsa with hair down
-Elsa mid way through transformation.
Nothing else for me... I really don't think we should have gotten toddler Anna and Elsa..
As for Marshmallow.. The prototype looks amazing, but I'm afraid I'm gonna pass...
I'm planning on getting both baymaxes and smaug. That's 3 6" pops. I'm not even looking to get the exclusive Baymax cause I'm running out of space.

I don't own any 6" pops. I would like if they made 6" pops for Jafar Genie, Dragon Maleficent, and a Giant Ursula though.

Yeah, those would all be pretty great. I feel Chernabog should have been a 6" figure. (And he should have had a mountain-base.) Doubt they'd re-do him, though.Disney's Divinity wrote:Yes!Widdi wrote: Hoping for a non angry version as well. Hopefully with tiara.![]()

I don't know, they might do him again at some point. I would definitely get him if they put him on his mountain. And, this is just hopeful wishing, but I'd also like 6" pops for the Titans and Cyclops from Hercules, but we know how likely that is to happen.ProfessorRatigan wrote: Yeah, those would all be pretty great. Please, forgive me for asking this again but...
Which of the Disney Villains Funko Pop are the hardest to find?
Also, do you know if Funko is planning on making more Disney characters?
Thanks
