I just previewed some new equipment released at CES, and the Synaesthesiac Edition of the Nutcracker Suite tasted delicious!
Night on Bald Mountain, on the other hand, tasted weird. And try not to taste too much when Bacchus appears on screen.

What in heaven's name does The Rite of Spring taste like?

Well, that's all and good for those of you in the UK. That release date doesn't hold up for a R1 release though, and so far I haven't seen anyone say that March 22nd was a supposed R1 release. However, typically a release of this magnitude does come around that time. Sometimes a week proir, a week after, the same day... so it's probably fine to assume the R1 release will come around that date. Thanks for pointing that out!miniroll32 wrote:Read the earlier post - Its coming out March 22nd.singerguy04 wrote:for supposedly only being a month away though, we still have yet to hear of a official release date. At this point, I wouldn't even bet on Dumbo actually coming in Feb anymore.
This whole situation is completely ridiculous.
Amazon doesn't even have these Diamond editions of the Fantasias up yet. I'm just an impatient guy, i'd rather know the release schedule for things like this (like we've know most of the time in the past).

Thanks, Al. Somehow, you always find a way to cheer up people. And I would totally be up for an 80th Anniversary Synaesthesiac Edition if that were to ever happen.Escapay wrote:Bad news, T-SoD. They're not coming out until 2020. Disney is planning a big 80th Anniversary promotion for Fantasia and so they're gonna withhold the film for another ten years to really build up all the hype and anticipation.T-SoD wrote:I'm cool, calm and collected. I know that they will be here so just everyone calm down. Trust me, I would be much more furious if Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 didn't come out this year than probably anyone else on this forum.Plus, by then they'll have figured out how to incorporate a Synaesthesiac Edition for people with the rare gift of tasting music. (The rest of us get a lousy Smello-Vision version

Yeah but normally the U.K gets everything after the U.S. You guys are obviously more important

Eww.... I hope Disney doesn't shove this new technology down our throats..... I have a bad feeling that a lot of my favorite movies would taste awful!SpringHeelJack wrote:Fire and scientific inaccuracy.

Here in Brazil the Platinums or Diamonds are always released the same day as the US, or even sooner. And Disney Brazil announced that both Fantasias are expected for a November/December release in here... God, I hope it's not true... but they said that this is the month when everything is arranged, so changes may happen. And I'm counting on that, guys!

I found this trailer on YouTube but this one was also taken from the "Up" DVD. This is a trailer to two Diamond Editions of "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000". I hope you'll enjoy it!

OMG! I was watching the trailer on YouTube or someplace else that both "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" are coming out on Blu-Ray only as "Diamond Editions", but sadly, these films are not going to be release on DVD. What a big disappointment! I have two copies of "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" on DVD which is in my collection that I copied from someplace else along with the 1991 VHS of "Fantasia" and the 2000 VHS of "Fantasia 2000".
My mother has a Blu-Ray player at my Mom's house that she got it last month. I have a PS3 and I will not looking forward to get into Blu-Ray. I have tons of DVD's, but I'm NOT going to get into Blu-Ray. I don't collect Blu-Rays, but my mother and brother also has movies on Blu-Ray including a recent release of "Up".
I'm going to buy these films for my Mom, because she has a Blu-Ray player. I have to aware that Blu-Rays are expensive to get. DVD's are lesser price than Blu-Ray.
As you can see, "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" are also not going to be release as combo packs. What a shame! Too bad, it ain't going to be release on DVD, they don't make them like they used to.

There has been no conformation as to whether or not these movies will be released on DVD.musicradio77 wrote:OMG! If you already own Fantasia on DVD and have a PS3 (Blu-ray player) then I'm not sure why your disappointed by the fact that these movies may not be released on DVD. Would you really get upset because you can't re-buy these movies on the same format, when you have the option available to actually upgrade to a superior format (considering your current DVD releases are excellent)? Doesn't make sense.musicradio77 wrote:My mother has a Blu-Ray player at my Mom's house that she got it last month. I have a PS3 and I will not looking forward to get into Blu-Ray. Disney Blu-ray prices are usually cheaper then the DVD's upon initial release as they offer many incentives to upgrade (price reductions).musicradio77 wrote:I'm going to buy these films for my Mom, because she has a Blu-Ray player. There is no conformation as to whether these will be released together as a combo pack or separately. Also, you're right, they don't make them as they used to. They make them better then they used to (as far as PQ/AQ are concerned).musicradio77 wrote:As you can see, "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" are also not going to be release as combo packs. I agree with at least that much, somewhere the grammar train fell off the track! As for Blu being the "superior" choice, that is more opinion.Escapay wrote:It's musicradio77.
