Apparently, the video for Gimme More is available for download on iTunes. According to wikipedia though, this is just the promo video for it, as it doesn't even incorporate the funeral aspect of the video in, and is just blonde Britney and her friends in a bar watching brunette Britney dancing, while some dude watches her. I wanna wait to see the actual debut of the video, but I still wanna see this promo for it! I hope it hits Youtube.com soon. If I could, I'd still buy it, but I don't have my iPod Touch yet! Hasn't arrived from the US yet, I can't wait! Here's a piccie from it- Image

Personally, I think she should just disappear for a few months maybe even a year and work out her problems. Instead of going to some rehab in L.A she should go to a totally different place and stay there as long as needed.

However (slightly off-topic) I have noticed Paris Hilton's name is always mentioned when it comes to another female celeb's career going downhill....might just be me though.

I love the name 'Blackout' for the album! Really great choice!

I've just seen the promo video, and its good. But what is missing is plot. This is presumably because its only the promo, and the whole funeral part of the video will be shown when its released on the 8th. Its a great video, but not her best. I'm just gonna wait now till the full version.

And here is the album cover for 'Blackout'. How cool is it?! I think it is hands down her best CD cover so far . . . . .

Are you sure that that's the official cover? It's great, but it looks totally photoshopped, I think it'll be different, personally. But if it is, it's great.

I know it is very photoshopped, but thats the 'look' of it I think. I'm not convinced its a new pic of her either. Its hard to tell really! But I really love it anyway. If it is photoshopped, I think she should go with this look for the cover anyway, or something like it.

Yeah, that's definitely photoshopped; I've used that leaf effect before. Still, it wouldn't be horrible if they had a variation on that cover, as long as it comes off a bit more professional.

A whole bunch of new Britney songs have been leaked!

'Radar' is a standout new song; I really love it! Different sound, but its really grown on me.

'Love Is A State Of Grace' is one of Britney's best songs ever I think.

'Fillin Me Up' is great, as is 'When You Gonna Pull It'.

'Let Go' shows of Britney's vocals, which she doesnt ususally do, and its fab!

Just listen to them through the media player on the right of the web page.

Well, it looks like that iTunes version of the Gimme More clip is the official one, as it's been revealed that the original one, complete with that funeral spin, was too controversial to be aired and they had to redo quickly. That original one had Britney and her lover meeting at a funeral, then proceeding to a bar/nightclub, and that stripper brunette Britney tying funeral Britney to a chair and beating her up. That would've been so cool, and I would've so much rathered that be the clip than the crappy "Director's Cut" of it. I hope that we get it on a DVD or something in the future, I so wanna see it, it's be bad to the fans to not release it in some form. It was leaked onto the net, but then quickly removed, so it's definitely made and ready to be released, I just hope it does.

I have no idea if this is official news or not, but http://www.disneymusicsource.blogspot.com/ reported that Britney's album has been pushed forward to October 29th...which isn't even a Tuesday, so totally take this with a grain of salt. I figured I'd pass the "news" along, though.

It actually is true - kinda. Britney's new album "Blackout" was pushed forward to October 30th, which is a Tuesday. Here is an article I found on MTV.com

Britney Spears' arraignment was delayed earlier this week, but the singer needs to make another adjustment on her calendar — her upcoming Blackout LP has bumped from a November 13 release to October 30. Jive, her label, chalked up the release-date shift to album tracks being leaked online. "Due to these numerous unauthorized online leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any future illegal distribution of songs, including moving up the release date of the album to October 30," it said in a statement. ..

Yay, the album is coming out the same day as my root canal! I'll buy the album and listen to it, that way I'll be in so much pain from my ears bleeding that I'll completely forget about how much a root canal actually hurts!

;)

Scaps

Before a fan starts saying, "don't knock it if you haven't listened to it", I've actually sampled a few of the tracks that atlanticaunderthesea provided, simply because I wanted to kill my cat. Kidding, of course...about the cat. I don't have a cat, Jane's allergic. And I'm not having a root canal, either, but I wanted to make a nonsensical post about how listening to The Spears can help mask real pain. And the only reason I listened to the tracks was to be able to say that I did and so that there was some merit to my root canal comparison. So there. :P

Thanks for letting me know, Simba3!

I haven't listened to most of the leaked tracks, but I'm a big fan of hers, so I'll buy it regardless (I did buy her remix album and then sold it, just because I'm not a fan of remix albums).

This stinks for me, since "Meet the Robinsons" comes out on the 23rd, and both Backstreet Boys' & Britney's new albums come out on the 30th- I don't think I'll have enough money. I mean, I could (slight chance), but I doubt it. I like BSB better, though, so I'll get their's first if I only can afford one.

I really like the cover as a mock up, but I really hope this isnt the final version. Using that same picture again?! She has been going to photoshoots etc, so I hope they will choose a different one.

And as for the tracklisting! Where is 'Everybody', 'Your', 'Kiss You All Over' and 'Love Is / State Of Grace' ? ! ?! !? I'm going to be so sad if they don't include those :(

Amazon.com has a listing for 'Blackout: Deluxe Edition', but again with no pic.

Here is another rumoured cover. I personally LOVE it. I don't know why everyone has picked up on the other cover; there have been plenty of 'official' covers released . . what makes the 'Bad Girl' one 100% official? Anywho, I really love this 'official' one:

I think it is. It's included in that site in blackcauldron85's post above too. And the tracklisting is the same. Which is sad of course because I love "Kiss me all over" and "Everybody". "Your..." and "Heaven on Earth" are the very same song.

This is the one Amazon.com has listed for the cover art, too. I think it looks awful!

I'm hoping that they're just keeping us in suspense of what it really looks like until the week it comes out. Even the album art could hurt her career- she needs to have the best album cover art of any of her albums with her new one. I'm thinking it'll be more along the lines of the 2 covers that atlanticaunderthesea posted- since it's called "Blackout", you'd think that the color black would be involved somehow on the cover!

Well, the cover is growing on me I think! The CD is in stores now, in sealed packaging. The CD art is balck and red, and the discs on the front in the background are metalic apparantly, which makes the cover art more attractive when you see it for real.

Britney has said she doesnt like the cover, and apparantly she has done another photoshoot for the CD, and a new 'Dulux Edition' will come out in time for Christmas. This will contain extra songs, the alternate version of the 'Gimme More' video (where she is at the funeral etc), the new video of whichever song she will release next. With many fans being upset over this cover, I'm sure they will double dip for it. I know I will!

And on the UK and Japan versions of 'Blackout', it will contain bonus tracks 'Love Is / State Of Grace', Everybody, Get Back. Not bad!

Also, I really love the song 'Got Me High', and throughout the song she repeats the phrase 'perfect lover', so do you think 'Got ME High' could actually be retitled as 'Perfect Lover'? Like 'Your' and Heaven On Earth' ? I really really hope so!

Ive got all this info from various Britney forums :)

I am sooooo excited for this CD ! Knowing that its in stores makes it more exciting!
