Many thanks for the wishes everyone!pinkrenata wrote:Hope you had a lovely day, Guv'na! Better give the butler some time off after that big birthday bash he threw for you! Cheers!
Sadly we had to let the old butler go after he tried to emotionally blackmail us into giving him 2 days a month off. We've never managed to find a suitable replacement. I don't know, you just can't get the help these days, the agency staff are so common and vulgar.
The birthday was a blast. I work up in the morning and managed to get a toast and caviar breakfast before all my lorded and ladied social contacts came down for a quick game of croquet on the green in front of the grand mansion. At lunch we all sat outside in the sun, eating tuna and cucumber sandwiches and drinking lashings of tea while discussing matters of great importance (namely the weather, the weather and the weather).
After this we all went down to the Isis (as us posh chaps call the Thames in Oxford) and punted on the river – taking great care to sneer at the common folk on the river banks. A giant hamper was taken on board, so we all sipped champagne whilst eating delicious cold roast beef sandwiches. As the sun descended we all moved into Oxford and visited the Opera. It was very moving and I felt myself tear up several times during the performance. We were taken back to the mansion via a horse and cart ride.
Yes. Really. Not.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I can relate! How dare he ask for 2 days! You have been nothing more than generous with him!2099net wrote:Sadly we had to let the old butler go after he tried to emotionally blackmail us into giving him 2 days a month off. I'm very fond of tea and tuna cucumber sandwiches. What's tomorrow's forecast?2099net wrote:The birthday was a blast. You forgot the part where your mates MMBoy and Loomis took you play crockett as we talked some more about the weather and the DVDs we planned to buy in the next 5 years!2099net wrote:After this we all went down to the Isis (as us posh chaps call the Thames in Oxford) and punted on the river – taking great care to sneer at the common folk on the river banks.
