If it's the CA version, I hope it's the post-1983 version, because that version has Peter Pan in it. The original ride did not have Peter Pan in it; as with the original Snow White ride, you the guest were supposed to be Peter Pan. Well, no one got the idea and when Fantasyland emerged from its drastic remodel in 1983, Peter Pan was in his namesake's ride. Also, the old Peter Pan ride had only three scenes: London, Neverland fly-over and Skull Rock. The new version has: 1) The nursery; 2) London; 3) Neverland fly-over; 4) Skull Rock; 5) Hook's ship; 6) Indian village; 7) Pan and Darlings on ship; Hook's comeuppance (on the crocodile); Mermaid Lagoon.
WHY DOES A FILM THAT ALREADY HAS A COMMENTARY TRACK GET A NEW ONE WHEN CINDERELLA AND ALICE GET NONE?!?!?!
Okay, that said, I am happy that not only is Peter Pan getting a commentary track, but it's a new one. Perhaps this means there'll be a new documentary, too, since the You Can Fly featurette is all too short.
The IGN article was a fascinating read. There seems to be some genuine effort put into this release. The lost song that they got Paige O' Hara to sing is really intriguing, I'm assuming it was something Wendy was supposed to sing. In Walt's Words sounds even cooler than I thought it would be, especially with the re-enactments of his life being shown as he describes them. I'm still worried, though, about the lack of Christmas Show. You'd think that'd be the most obvious thing to include, especially with all of the vault digging the DVD producers seemed to have done. Hopefully Disney's just downplaying it because it's one of the few bonus features not created exclusively for this DVD.
I think everyone's confused about the Peter Pan's flight feature. I think it's going to be something more like Aladdin's virtual carpet ride game rather than a ride-through of a Disney attraction in CG form like Little Mermaid.

That's what I thought by reading this, though I so hope it's going to be a ride-through of the actual attraction. Everyone expects that one, since they had the ride-through feature on TLM.
I won't give up hoping!!! That's why I posted it as being a ride-through. I hope I didn't rise anyone's hopes too high. If so, I apologize for making you all excited and then disappointed if it's not going to be on the DVD.
It might be that the supposedly new commentary could not be a new commentary at all... it is very early for a (german) web site to have any of these new details (apart from press info or "interviews" with the people responsible for the dvd like in the preview of IGN.com)
I'd prefer the older commentary hosted by Roy Disney than Canemaker's commentary actually..

Well, I will be really disappointed if this ride doesn't make it, but I won't blame you, Dottie. On the other hand, IGN.com DID call it, "Peter Pan's Flight". As far as I'm concerned, that name should be used only for the Peter Pan ride and nothing else. But as they say, anything can happen. I really hope they live up to their promises.
Well, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the virtual flight will be a ride-thru will be of the Disney parks' Peter Pan ride. If that's the case, they should go with Disneyland's (and also Disneyland Paris') version.

and 2nd Star to the right (hope they get a extremly good singer, I'd perfer a singer like Kelly Clarkson or Alison Krauss)
Or even, heaven forbid, the Disney Channel Circle of Stars!
There's a couple of good singers in Circle Of Stars, but I totaly agree bout not including them on "2nd Star", as for Peter Pan's Flight I'm also hoping it'll be like the actual ride, maybe they might combine all rides from Paris, Disneyland, Disneyworld, that'd so awesome.

Disney does have a recent cover of the song by Jesse McCartney which I think would be perfect for the release. I think it was done...2 years ago?

Jesse McCarthy remade 2nd Star, so Disney might use him or somebody eles, either way I wouldn't mind at all. My guess on the X-mas show is probaly gon'na be kept in the dark till it gets a tad close to Pan's release, I haven't seen Peter Pan's X-mas show in full just bits of it.

You forgot Tokyo. Peter Pan's Flight's there, too.
Didn't know bout Tokyo having a Peter Pan ride up there, I've only been to Disneyland *chuckles* Does anybody know what Disneyland episode contains the clips of Walt showing off some artwork from Peter Pan to a group children? if so then point moi in the right direction please.
What disturbs me is that in that IGN article the "Peter Pan's flight" feature is described as a flight through London. The Disneyland ride however is more than just a flight through London. But, let's not give up hope!!

The Tokyo ride is basically a direct lift of the one at Disney World, save for the dialogue, which is in Japanese. I've been on all versions of the ride except Tokyo's. I don't remember any Disneyland episodes containing artwork of the film to children. I do remember excerpts from the film, like in "The Disneyland Story" and one episode about villains, called "Our Unsung Villains", hosted by Snow White's Magic Mirror. Incidentally, in that episode, the mirror is actually voiced by Hans Conried, the voice of Capt. Hook in the movie!

If you watch You Can Fly and bout 10 mins into the featurette you'll catch a glimpse of Walt showing sketches from Peter Pan to a group of fans. Thanks for trying to help Disney Fan, really appericate it.

I'm almost certain that's from the Walt Disney Christmas Show that I greatly hope is included in this release.
I'm really hoping it'd be included on the dvd otherwise the release is gon'na be a major rip off, Disney is possibly keeping their mouths shut on it cause they're still digging in the vault acording to the IGN article.
Well, here's hoping that The Walt Disney Christmas Show gets included, just as One Hour In Wonderland was included on the ME edition of Alice In Wonderland.
