Agreed. I'm quite annoyed as well.

Strange that Luke haven't upgraded his review for the movie with the Bonus features for the Blu ray release.

Will Disney Executives greenlight a Moana 2? It opens in Japan this weekend, it's last major market. We'll see what kind of business it does there.

Meh, yeah, but the site hasn't really been the same since it became a vanity project for his reviews.

Yeah but what story could they make now. Another wacky roadtrip?

It could work if they base it around so many of the myths, but I feel they would disregard those stories in favor of their "totally original" ideas...

Really? I happen to disagree. I like his reviews and he's good at writing and conveying certain points in a objective and nuanced way (despite that I haven't always agreed with his opinions).

(About the part when Moana returns Te Fiti's heart
But in previous versions of the script, this wasn't what happened; rather, it was Maui who dominated the end of the story, completely overshadowing Moana's journey and achievement. It one alternate ending, Moana had to dive underwater to put the heart back in Te Ka, and while doing this, Moana became trapped. And she was only saved when Maui pulled up the island with his fishhook. And another alternate ending had Moana and Maui fighting Te Katogether, but it was Maui who was mostly responsible for defeating the lava demon.

Good start of Moana in Japan!

And interesting video, blackcauldron85. I'm glad they kept improving the ending until deciding on the one we got, because in my opinion is one of the best moments in the film.

According to Deadlline, Moana was the 12th most profitable feature of 2016, with a net profit of $121 Million. Is this enough to convince the executives for a sequel next decade or TV series?
