How do you come to that conclusion? :? It only looks like someone who hates Frozen and is bitter Moana didn't do better at the Box Office. Unless the person went on a rant about white princesses along with the picture?

To me it quite obvious what's happening. Your gonna go to a store, post pick & a video of yourself giving the finger to Frozen & then giving a thumbs up to Moana, just because your mad that the feature didn't do as well as Frozen? Tell me this: Would that woman in those pics be giving the finger if the Frozen girls were Woman of Color? I didn't think so.

Uh...yeah? Only a few weeks ago a mayor called the U.S. former First Lady an "ape in heels" and you think an average citizen would draw the line at giving the middle finger to cartoon characters of color in the privacy of their own life?

It seems like an anti-Frozen sentiment more than anything to me. *shrug*

It wasn't private when they posted a video on Tumblr for all to see.

I saw on Facebook someone post a picture of the meet-and-greet Moana.

Apparently Moana has a Winter outfit that's ... in my eyes, pretty bland.

I'll try to get permission to use the picture, or see if Disney posted any pictures.

EDIT: No dice on the permission yet, but I did find this nice sketch someone made of the Winter outfit.

Moana continues the pattern of Lasster-era Disney films beginning with the main character(s) as young children.

The only exceptions so far have been Winnie the Pooh 2011 and Big Hero 6.

^Wreck It Ralph also didn't have that pattern (not sure how you can do that with a videogame/arcade setting). But I know Big Hero 6 was in favor of starting the film the same way originally. Seems overall something more in common with the female-lead movies.

And we all know why: $$$

(Makes me wonder if the BATB remake will also open in this way...)

Uuuum.... This has been well known for months. Why addressing it now?

In the new trailer it does show Belle as a child with her mother. So I'm guessing the movie will open up that way for her and the Beast or their childhoods will be shown in flashback.

So much for not knowing anything about the movie before I see it. So much... Thank you very much for your spoiler indeed.

Oh I'm sorry about that. Actually you're in luck, because I made a mistake so everything I just said above is actually untrue. I just assumed that we would see Belle's mother with young Belle. So you still have a clean slate.

NOOOOOO! You just made things worse! :P Clean slate my nostrils. You have just confirmed that the film does not in fact open with Belle in a childhood scene in order to atone for your other post in which it was implied that the film opens with baby Belle (no, not the cheese!) As Rodrigo wanted to go into the film blind, you should have feigned ignorance and simply said that you might be mistaken without committing to either scenario.

Think of this ...

John: "Dude, want to see a great movie?"
James: "Yeah, totally!"
John: "Then go watch Spinal Cord Massacre. There's Sean Bean in it."
James: "OMG."
John: "He dies in it."
James: "WTF!? You just ruined the movie for me!"
John: "Gotcha! Haha no, he doesn't really die Jamesy."
James: "Aaargh! So he doesn't die? Now I will know that as I watch. I hate you! You are worse than my film-spoiling landlady. You belong with green mould. Wait ... you are green mould. No, that's too kind. You are the filth on which the green mould feasts!"
John: "Oh James I didn't mean to-"
James: "That's it. I'm getting a divorce. Hope you choke on your own tongue" :x

Between you and me, I do think James is a bit of a jerk.

And this was a moderately elaborate way of teasing you Jean Grey by the way. :mischief:

Lolz I got that. I agree though that James was a bit hard on John, although I'm not sure how rational he is considering divorce was his product of reasoning.

With still a month to go before it's Japan release, $600 million seems like a lock now
