WAIT for the direct link I have to "sign in or submit tags to view link"!
I created a simple step by step tutorial to show you how to get the direct link to the images. I opened an image with incognito mode, so this is the same view another user would have of my images

Here

STEP 1 - You open one of my images (here's the page view when it has completed loading)
Image

STEP 2 - You click on "Links to share this image"
Image

STEP 3 - You press "Direct Link"
Image

STEP 4 - Box pops up which has the code. You can copy it and use it whichever way you like
Image

STEP 5 - here how the directly linked image will look on a flully loaded browser
Image

Hope this helps

That helped a lot, though it still didn't always let me do it, in which case Freddyp's advice did help too.

I just contacted Jim Hill about this. Then in a little bit, I'll move on to Laughing Place and Mice Chat, and then I may ask for other places anyone thinks I should go with this!

Thanks for you help too by the way The_Iceflash, that was really greta of you, and once again to Lnds for even going to that audio site just to prove what we're trying to show!

Ok, thanks. In the review of Cindy in DVDIZZI, it says that the ending card was replaced by a modern one. Is that true ? How does it look like ?

Thanks to answer

So I went on to Jim Hill, Laughing Place, Mice Chat, and Mice Pad. What other places should I go to tell people about this and get lots of people's attention and let the world know of this travesty that needs to be righted?

So, I just watched the blu-ray for the first time... and while I'm still very disappointed about this restoration nonsense, I do have to say that while actually viewing the film, it looks fantastic. Sure, going frame by frame you find the flaws and the details that are missing, but in motion it still looks great.

That said, there is still no excuse for said flaws.

Hmmm.... Swillie, it might be yr eye and how it detects detail.

I remember watching the dvd (which has far less detail) and noticing some shots looking very odd. At the time, I didnt have anything to compare them to, and I thought maybe they were like that in the original film.

Im sure it would hurt my corneas to see it in HD....

That being said, I really need to stop visiting this thread... it hurts.

I thought the Blu-ray looked better. Line art was clearer due to the higher resolution and I thought the colours looked darker too (Cindy's hair was a darker orange). This could be due to the change in display though, on top of encoding differences/capabilties.

Still had the same colour and line issues mentioned here, but at least the RKO logo is back.

Well I highly doubt my ability to detect detail has anything to do with it... Being an animator myself, my entire job is to pay attention to these sorts of things.

Don't get me wrong, I CAN see them - I know they're there. But all I'm saying is that overall, the film itself is no less enjoyable to watch, if I don't sit there and look for those flaws. But again, I'm not trying to stick up for the mistakes. They shouldn't have been made, and I hope they get fixed eventually. But in the meantime, I can still enjoy the bd as it is.

Hey,

Thanks for the clarification. I stand corrected. And yes, I agree, the film is still enjoyable...

I need to know how to make my posts show the Blu-ray pictures. Can anyone help me? I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what I should do. The pictures aren't showing up:

Something is wrong with the Imageshack site. I tried uploading a picture on my account there yesterday and it just wasn't cooperating at all. I'd select the picture then click 'upload' and get a message about there wasn't a file to upload. After several times of trying, I got fed up and went over to Photobucket. A couple of months ago, I uploaded my Little Mermaid video game picture I had in my sig to Imageshack and recently that picture stopped showing up in my sig (despite the fact I hadn't deleted it or moved it on Imageshack and the link to it on Imageshack was still in my signature box on my profile page with the correct image code wrapped around it).

Well, first of all, the imageshack links are only partial. Do you have the complete links yourself?...

If so, then manually edit your post with the correct complete links and put all your picture links within tags. That should do it.

I contacted Disney about this by using this link:

http://www.disneystudioshelp.com/Contact_Us.html

I didn't get an E-mail back but maybe if we all join in, you know?

Anyway, I don't have the links to those pictures because I didn't put up those Blu-ray pictures. If I had them, and uploaded them to Photobucket myself, then I could do it.

I wish someone from Disney would comment on this disaster.

I want the original classics to view the same way they were intended to be, during their original release.

Any progress in the attempt to atleast bring this to Disney's attention?

I did manage to contact Don Hahn a few months back, most specifically about the issues with the missing/obliterated lineart (I still carry the stance that colors are subjective), and he was kind enough to take the time to respond back to me. However, I'd prefer not to go into detail about what was said between us; it seems rather irresponsible to plaster words all over the internet from a private conversation. ;)

What I will say though is that I believe there's a fair chance that it's something that can be corrected for the next release. :) In the meantime, I encourage everyone to continue letting Disney know how you feel about these releases . . . I know I most certainly do, especially with my wallet. *glares at empty spaces on shelf*

By that you mean a re-issue in a few months or a re-release in like 5 or 7 years under the new premium banner that will replace the Diamond one?

Unfortunately, it's safe to say that the current problems won't be corrected for the Diamond edition, so we'll have to wait for the next premium reissue in 5 to 7 years and hope for the best.
