Here's Britney performing "Womanizer" at the Bambi Awards in Dusseldorf, Germany. The audience sucks but I think this is a great warm-up performance and hopefully we will get better performances as this "Circus" era progresses!!! Exciting times for Brit fans!

What happened? :(

I Love Britney so much and don't think I'm hating now but I have to say I am extremely dissapointed by this. It wasn't as bad as her VMA performance last year but it still wasn't that great. It's nowhere near on par with her body-of-work/past perfomances (i.e. Slave 4 U VMA 2001). She mainly walked around the stage and didn't really work it like I know she is capable of, there was little energy coming from her and she was lacking in the dance department (which is what she does best!). :( I'm really sad to say this now but I am really starting to question/doubt Britney as a perfomer now (not an artist, just a performer). Her confidence has been knocked BIG time over the past couple of years and it is really starting to show :(. Just look at her face at the end of the performance, she looks scared. Bee appears to be smiling but it looks so pulled and contrived, just look at her eyes; to me they read afraid/scared (as if she's worried people are going to review her negatively like the way they did with her "Gimme More" performance).

Is it me or did she look a bit like Madonna too. The blonde curly hair, black chiffon and hat to match (you'll know what I mean if you see the pictures of Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour). By the way, this is just an observation, I'm not saying "ah look she's gone and copied Madonna"

Sorry to sound pessimistic guys. It's just I want her to do so well and blow everyone away with an amazing performance, so that it puts haters in their place and shows them that she's more than capable of making a huge comeback. I don't want people to right her off (not that it would change my opinion of her anyway even if people were to do so). I just want people to spend less time acknowledging her for her personal struggles and crazy shenanigans and spend more time appreciating her for her talents.

Nick, I think you're right about everything except her ability to perform. I think that judging 2008 Britney to 2001 Britney is unfair. The last time she performed she was mocked relentlessly (07 VMA's). I think this was very good for her first public performance in over a year. Plus, the audience was not giving her anything to work with, they looked uninterested to say the least.
I think this performance is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Britney's ability to perform and she has to get back into the swing of things and perform more to get back to where she was 7 years ago.It is obvious that she has lost all confidence in herself which is heartbreaking.
The look on her face after her last note is soooo sad (right before the smile).

You know what, after reading what you just put I take back what I said. Comparing '01 Britney to '08 Britney was completely unfair and for that I apologise. You were absolutely right! She needs to learn how to walk before she can run. Bee needs to rebuild her confidence before she can reach that level again, which I know she is more than capable of doing. This perfomance was without doubt better than last year though, so at least she is improving. I feel really bad for what I said now because comments like mine only bring her down . She needs encouragement (after being publicly humiliated last year) and lots of support from her fans right now. I guess I just want the best for her and was expecting too much too soon, I didn't mean anything I said in a malicious way whatsoever. Things don't happen overnight right, they take time. I'm gonna keep on rootin' for my girl Brit! :D

Nick, I didn't mean to make you feel bad about your previous comments and I know that fans (you & I both) only criticize because we care. I have no right because it was only last year I was making negative comments about my disappointment with Brit and her ability to make a comeback (somewhere in an old Britney thread), so for that I apologize.

I want to add that I do agree with you that fans should stick together and go out and rally around her, especially with this record. She really has everything going for her this time around and I hope Britney has great success with this project. She deserves it after the last few years. I can't wait for Dec. 2nd!!!! :)

Like Mutant Enemy said, she's just getting back into the swing of things. Her performances will be at their A-game again. Just give her some time to get used to things.

She didn't look as nervous as she did at the Bambi Awards (which is good) but other than that it's pretty much the same, only a different outfit and more energy coming from the audience (I think this helped) :D

Those tour dates are very upsetting for me - the closest place to me is Newark and that's about 2 hours away. I've been to the Prudential Center, and while it's a VERY nice venue, it's just not convenient. There have got to me more dates coming soon - I mean, No Madison Square Garden? These dates might be close to being accurate, but I can't imagine no NYC or Philadelphia or even Atlantic City, NJ. I know it's not official yet, but I get nervous Haha.

The suspense is killing me here, i've been waiting for 4 years for this!

anyway, I noticed she gets better with every performance she's done recently - I'm looking forward to December 2nd.

Thanks to all who post pics/news!

Edit: March 13th at the prudential center is already booked.

OK, so the CD is being released tomorrow, and I was wondering if anybody knows how much the Deluxe Edition will be at Target and Wal-Mart (in stores)? The Target weekly ad only advertised the standard edition, so maybe that means they're only gonna sell the standard edition?

They'll probably have both - I would think - however, maybe only a limited stock of the deluxe.

Do you know how much for though? Because 2 of my friends and I do this gift exchange and we have a $20 limit per person, and one of my friends couldn't decide on Britney's new CD or a Target or Wal-Mart gift card, so I was thinking of just getting the standard edition (which will be $10) and then a $10 Target gift card for my friend, and then buying myself a copy of the Deluxe Edition. Wal-Mart probably won't have it for cheap because their CDs (and some DVDs) really aren't that cheap.
