This morning, at Best Buy, I picked up:

Image

Roseanne: The Complete Ninth Season for $27.99. I now have the complete series on DVD, and am very happy to have them. Roseanne remains one of my top favorite shows of all time, so, it is nice that I can revisit it any time I want.

I also picked up:

Image

Transformers: Two-Disc Special Edition, with free Collectible Lithograph, for $22.99. I'm excited to watch this one, as I didn't see it in the theater.

My total came to $39.04, because I used a $10 Summer of Entertainment Certificate, and a $5.00 Reward Zone Certificate, as well as got the points on my Reward Zone card.

Today, I picked up...

At Best Buy:

Image

Halloween (Anchor Bay/Starz Home Entertainment), that is the THX restored version. It also has an awesome slip cover, where the eyes of the pumpkin looks like they are glowing! It was on sale for $4.99. Plus, I got the points on my Reward Zone card.

Image

I Love Lucy: The Complete Series

Since Best Buy and Circuit City are not carrying it in their stores (online only), I was lucky to get the last copy (they only got 2 in), at Target! The best part was that it was only $139.99, which is $50.00 cheaper than BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com, Target.com, and Amazon.com had it listed for!

$14.99 at Best Buy (but I didn't get the Toontown CD-Rom [?])- I don't know if they were located next to the DVDs or at the register. I wasn't too interested in it anyway, though.

jrboy, how come you had to pay full price for 2 titles ("Sweetheart Stories" and "The Santa Clause")? I thought that you just had to buy 1 movie at full-price and the rest you got for 1/2 off? Or did you do the "Santa Clause" feature of the month deal?

I ordered the Santa Clause triple feature a few days before the 50% off sale, so that's why their is 2 full price dvds on my list. On a side note, this was the 1st time I had to pay shipping on an order of 2 or more dvds. So like $20 of my movie money when to paying S&H :x

jrboy, did you have to pay shipping since you only paid full price for one movie? I have the free shipping for life, and the small print doesn't mention that the 2 movies must be full-priced. :?

That shouldn't be the reason why I had to pay shipping. Each month I get the Feature Title and a sale dvd with free shipping, so I really don't know why they just now decided to start charging me shipping  ........anyway, I plan on calling them monday & see what they have to say about it.

I have the free shipping for life, and the small print doesn't mention that the 2 movies must be full-priced.
This is the main reason why I have kept my account over the passed 2 years, I just hate the idea of having to pay that much in S&H when I want to buy a but load of dvds. But if they are going to start charging me shipping then I going to close my account and start a new one.

No, it's actually Amy's very first primetime network TV special. It first aired on NBC in 1986 and was originally titled "Amy Grant: Headin' Home for the Holidays". It was released to VHS in 1992 and retitled "Amy Grant's Old Fashioned Christmas". It's a totally 80s TV special and is awesome for that reason. Totally worth tracking down (usually not hard to find at a good price).

The program features special guests Art Garfunkel, Ed Begley Jr., Dennis Weaver, Gary Chapman, Jimmy Webb, and Kaleena Kiff (as Helena Kiff). In it, Amy travels around the snowy mountains of Montana and sings Christmas songs and a couple of her mid-80s pop & Christian hits. The included songs are:

"Find a Way" (live performance from <i>Unguarded</i> tour)
"Emmanuel" (live performance from <i>Unguarded</i> tour)
"Sleigh Ride" (duet with Dennis Weaver)
"Tennessee Christmas" (featuring Gary Chapman)
"The Christmas Hymn"
"Words from an Old Spanish Carol" (duet with Art Garfunkel, conducted by Jimmy Webb)
"Carol of the Birds" (duet with Art Garfunkel, conducted by Jimmy Webb)
"Away in a Manger"
"Hark the Herald Angels Sing" (featuring Art Garfunkel, Ed Begley Jr, Jimmy Webb, Gary Chapman, Dennis Weaver, Helena Kiff, choir, and orchestra)
"Love of Another Kind" (live performance from <i>Unguarded</i> tour)

There are no actual music videos. Amy has only recorded one proper Christmas music video (for "Grown-Up Christmas List"), which can be found on the Greatest Videos | 1986-2004 DVD.
