Just finished watching Bambi II, and I am very pleased. Great movie, and it could have worked very well in the theaters in the US. I really liked the way the relationship between the Great Prince and Bambi evolved though the film.

When I first started to watch the movie I wasn't that sure I was going to end up liking it. It took me awhile to get "caught up" by the story, but after a few mins I was. The ending was done very well and one of my favorite parts of the film.

They have finally got it right with the sequels. This is hands down the best Disney sequel that I have seen.

There is Life - Alison Krauss (Bambi II theme)

Under the snow,
beneath the frozen streams,
there is life.

You have to know,
When nature sleeps,
She dreams there is life.

And the colder the Winter,
The warmer the Spring,
And the deeper the sorrow,
The more our hearts sing.

Even when you can't see it,
Inside everything,
There is life.

Oohhh ooooohhhh.

After the rain,
The sun will reappear,
There is life.

After the pain,
The joy will still be here,
There is life.

For it's out of the darkness,
that we learn to see.
And out out of the silence,
That song comes to be.

And all that we dream of.
Awaits patiently,
There is life.

There is life.

Ohh ah ohh ah ohh.

Lyrics to another quite beautiful song (Bambi II had such wonderful music)

Through your eyes
By Martina McBride

Look at that cloud
as high as a tree
Atleast that's how it looks to me.

How about you?
What do you see?
What if we see things differently?

Show me how the world looks through
your eyes.
Tell me about the sunrise.
Let me see the stars shine.

Show me how the world looks through
your eyes.
Tell me about the sunrise.
Let me see the stars shine.
And I can show you
how it looks through mine.

If I had wings and I could fly
I would tell you all about the sky.
How about you?

If dreams could come true,
what do you imagine you could do?

Oh, show me how the world looks
through your eyes.
Tell me about the sunrise
Let me see the stars shine.

Show me how the world looks through
your eyes.
Tell me about the sunrise.
Let me see the stars shine.
And I can show you
how it looks through mine.
Show me how the world looks through
your eyes.

And I could show you secret traits
where no one's ever gone.
I bet you've got secrets too
so don't be shy.

Come on
Come on
Come on
Come on and show me
how the world looks through your eyes.
Tell me about the sunrise.
Let me see the stars shine.

Show me how the world looks through
your eyes.
Tell me about the sunrise.
Let me see the stars shine.
And I can show you
how it looks through mine.
Let me show you how it looks through mine..

Well according to a report at <a href="http://www.comingsoon.net/news/dvdnews. ... oon.net</a> Bambi 2 shifted 2.6 million copies in it's first week!

Although we know about half of those 2.6 mil copies were bought by MMP ;)

Yes, and W&G Curse of the Were Rabbit (released the same day) did 200,000 less than initial estimates, selling 800,000.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I'm not trying to cause a problem, here, but why was my last post entirely deleted, and only a small portion (the link to the DVD sales charts), put into Icabod's post, without any reference to my post? That doesn't seem right.

I don't know, but I didn't see it nor did I have anything to do with it.

I watched this again Thursday night with my parents and my 7 year old cousin. My Dad thought it was good, and my Mom really liked it. However my cousin didn't find it that entertaining.

The "grrrr"ing part kept his interest as did Flower's special power, but other than that he constantly said this is boring, and kept asking when it would be over. :(

Its still great a 2nd time. I'm going to try to watch both Bambi movies again sometime in the next few days.

Bambi's song

Post by Tarzan. »

What's the name of the song that is used almost at the end of the trailer for Bambi II?...I think it goes..with the warmer the spring and the colder the winter the deeper the sorrow...something like that.

You can find a few screencaps here.

My favorite character is always Thumper, but lately I've kinda been leaning toward the Great Prince lately. That guy demands respect. As for favorite scene, I guess the end, where the Great Prince shows Bambi the place where he met Bambi's mother, but before the song kicks in. The original songs in BII didn't suit the Bambi world, IMO.

Bambifan I really love the screenshot avatar. The scene is one of my favorites in the movie and I was wondering where did you get it.

My favorite characters in the movie is the Great Prince and Ronno even though he is a bully. I think my favorite scene in the movie is the ending and the part with the porcepine that calls the great prince a moose that was really funny. I like other scenes too I just love this movie!!

My DVD player on my computer (the software that is) makes screen captures. After I've captured the screen I can save it onto my computer and modify it to make an avatar. I use WinDVD 7.0. it's about 50 bucks (no pun intended) to download. I use Microsoft Office 2003 picture Manager to modify the screen captures. But you can also use Photo Shop. If you don't have software like these I'll be more than happy to give out my link to give you all my Bambi Pics and Avatars. However, remember that you need to first have 50 thought out posts in order to receive an avatar.
