Where are the Disney fans?

Yesterday:

Brother Bear: a very nice and done movie.

.. and again, beautiful transfer... (nice colors used).

Peter Pan: has a feeling to me similar to "Alice". If it weren't for several songs (that show their age), it would rank right up there as one of the old ones that have better stand the test of time.

... another very clean transfer as well.

And right now:

The Emperor's New Groove: another GORGEUS transfer. Brilliant colors and flawless image. :o 8)

PS

Just 3 more to go....; and one sequel.

Home on the Range....

The only reason I'm watching it is because:

1. I promised myself I'd watch all the Disney movies I have.

2. It is late and just needed somethiing there on the TV

3. I already have the DVD so....

There are only 2 good things about this movie:

The songs are good and the transfer is another gorgeous one (sadly there's nothing to see there).

PS

1. You can say they tried to make a WB kind of movie but they did that with TEMNG and it worked there

2. Buck has to be the MOST annoying Disney character ever.

Just watched The Lion King 1 1/2.

An OK movie that starts very good but very soon the movie looses its charm.

I mean, wasn't the main goal of the movie to parody the frst LK? Then how come t turns into a Timon movie?

The 3 funniest moments in the movie:

1. "Timon, everything the light touches... belongs to someone else"

2. "We're going to get old walking on this log"

3. When Timon spits the thorn to Nala and then Simba takes it out with his mouth and spits it to Timon and you hear him scream.

Another impecable transfer.

PS

1. A movie to watch when you just want to kill some time.

2. 3 to go: Fantasia 2000, The Sword in the Stone and Lilo & Stitch.

... that is unless tomorrow I can get my hands on a certain DVD I just found out a store carries in a city nearby. If I do, I'll post it tomorrow. 8)

I've watched a few Disney films over the last few days;
Tarzan - Great film, especially love Jane, imo the best character in the film.
Pocahontas - Another one of my favourites, some of my favourite Disney scenes are in this movie, and the songs are ace!
Aristocats- I recently bought this movie from play.com, I hadn't seen it in a while, so I decided to pop it in the DVD player. I was never a huge fan of this movie, but it's still good, though I don't remember certain bits, for example when one of the kittens say 'we nearly had a father' that was kinda' sad.
Brother Bear- I watched this last night, I wasn't a fan of it when I first watched it, and i'm sorry to say I still find it boring. Probably one of, if not the least favourite of the classics i've seen.

I watched Bambi last night and it was beautiful. The transfer was very good, alothough there were a couple "duller" spots I noticed.

I just finished watching Princess Diaries 2 for the first time in several months and found that it still has rewatching power. A nice movie to kill time with.

I finally got to see everybody's favorite Disney movie: Home on the Range.

Believe or not, I enjoyed it.

The music from Alan Menken was decent (MUCH better than Pocahontas and the Hunchback) the animation was unique and really cool and there were alot of Chuck Jones style gags which I found myself laughing at several times.

While yes, it is underwhelming compared to "The Emperor's New Groove", "Lilo and Stitch" and "Treasure Planet" and it is also a down grade from "Brother Bear". I also thought Roseanne was annoying as always and I could've done without the burping gags, but in the end, I enjoyed it more than most people and believe it or not, I've seen much worse from the Mouse House! :P

Snow White:

I can't believe what I'm going to say, but I'm starting to like this movie a LOT with each viewing.

It's not that I hated it but I was never attracted to it either.

Best things of the movie:

1. the animation of the Queen. Just WAO!

2. When SW gets lost in the forest.

3. The whole scene where the Queen makes her transformation.

Bad things:

1. I still think the scene where the dwarfs clean themselves and the dance one are too long.

2. SW's voice is too high!! And her songs are worse because of the same thing.

3. I still don't like the perfect way in what she moves.

I just watched The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. This movie blew my mind away! It was soooooooo good. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. Good thing DVDs don't wear out like VHS- I would wear that thing out when it comes out. Bring on Prince Caspian and all the rest!

Dinosaur:

What a waste of money and work. The movie s gorgeus to look at but so bland and shallow.
