All we know right now is the singer name, her name is "Nesma Mahgoub" from Egypt.
BTW her fiance will do the Hans part! His name is "Mostafa Rashad" from Egypt.
His voice is also amazing and so strong.
I cant wait for the Arabic version :D
Have they announced Anna? I don't know any of those singers, but they do sound good. I really hope that they are not too operatic with Elsa. They did that with Rapunzel and it ruined the songs for me (not that they were good to begin with), I just don't like it when it is sung in Opera..

Honestly, of the Arabic dubs, the only ones that I truly love are 101 Dalmatians, Hunchback (amazing translation, especially in hellfire), Hercules, and Aladdin 3. Though... I wonder if Brave's dialect dub is a one time thing... I'm used to Egyptian Arabic when it comes to disney :P
Jules wrote:Taei and NeverLand, when the Arabic version of Let It Go is released, please post it here! I don't understand Arabic, but Maltese is related to it in that it started off as Arabic about 800 years ago, and then continued to evolve. While it's very different nowadays, it's said to be similar enough for Arab speakers to understand it, or at least get the gist of what one is saying. It doesn't work the other way round though - I generally don't understand anything when I listen to Arabic, but I do detect familiar sounds. For that reason alone I want to listen to the Arabic version of Let It Go. :-)
Well, we're gonna have to wait till the DVD/Blu-ray is out. I have no way of getting it since I'm not in the middle east anymore, but maybe NeverLand can help us. Though I don't know... I'm sure he/she was the one who uploaded all the arabic versions of the songs a long time ago and then took them down on youtube. I used to go to that channel to see how the arabic dubs worked (I'm used to seeing the english versions). But I'm sure that someone will upload them, since the tangled ones are online.

Here's hoping to really happy news tomorrow for the Oscars (And that The Wind Rises and Ordinary Love don't get nominated, so we can be shoo-ins again, but I seriously doubt it  )

I'd rather have Frozen lose to a good film* than have it win because a good film wasn't nominated for whatever reason. Of course, ideally, I'd like it to win against a good film, because it is better.

*I have not seen The Wind Rises, as I don't care for Hayao Miyazaki's work/ethic.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the scene of Anna splayed out whilst trying to club the wall ? I was thinking of it this morning and felt how it is probably one of my favourite, if not my total favourite comedy moment in a Disney film. ("Wow, that was like some crazy trust exercise!")

rotfl

If anyone could help me out here, would be very much appreciated (I've googled but can't find any relating to that scene).

Frozen has been nominated for Best Animated Feature (the other nominees being Ernest and Celestine, The Croods, Despicable Me 2, and The Wind Rises) and Best Song for Let It Go (alongside Alone Yet Not Alone, The Moon Song, Ordinary Love and Happy from Despicable Me 2.)

^It still baffles me how she's not wearing tights under her skirt. Even if her outfit is wool, it seems really impractical for the deep snow and winds to have bare legs.

I'll just assume she has bloomers on and we can't see it because of her position.

God I sound like a pervert...

That. Or it could be that there was an unexpected blizzard in July and she had to make do with whatever she could find in Olaf's trading post . . .

My favorite line from Olaf.

Oh Look I've been impaled

rotfl rotfl rotfl

It's just the way he says it that has me laughing. The other funny thing is the credits instead of saying this film is fiction and not based on real life is instead worded with something of Kristoff's Boogers are like other men's boogers or something to that effect. That was clever :D

Frozen Composers Assess 6 Fan-Created Homages to Their Songs
http://www.vulture.com/2014/01/frozen-b ... sions.html

Also, some new info about the Broadway adaptation.
Disney “would like us to be as involved as we can,” said Lee, adding that the Lopezes are also expected to participate. Considering their theater experience, including Bobby’s work on “The Book of Mormon” and “Avenue Q,” Lee said, “They’re beautifully qualified to do that. We all know the characters better than anyone.”

Buck added, “There are quite a few songs they could dust off that didn’t make it into the movie, at least the melodies.”

There was going to be a Disney Chorus at the end! :(
"“DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?”: FAN-WRITTEN REPRISE
Kristen: It's funny, because that fan is doing something lyrically similar to what I had pitched at the very last screening. Because we were really writing up until the last minute. I pitched doing a reprise of "Snowman" at the very end of the movie — just at that moment where they're about to ice skate, having Olaf fall apart, and having Anna and Elsa turn to each other and sing: "Do you want to build a snowman?" "Come on, you know I do." "Together as a family, you know we'll always be, me and yoooou!" But they did it orchestrally, and I think that was a much more nuanced way to do it."

Wait, so Olaf was going to die for like one second?! It's funny because a sidekick "just died", but they just sing anyway rotfl

Does anyone have the video of the speech for best song? Let it go won. :D

Also.. Does anyone have a picture of the the aerial shot as Elsa runs into the second floor of the castle followed by the guards? I love that shot.
