Yes, Bambi is an animated classic that inspired many talking animal epics both at Disney and in other studios.
But I never enjoyed it that much. I mean its cute but the songs are weak, the characters are basically empty shells with cute all over them and there's barely any drama.
Oh yeah, someone's mother died. Don't know who it was.
In all seriousness now, I never enjoyed the film that much.
I also hate the whipping boy of this thread; Chicken Little.
What annoys me so much about the movie is that its NOT Disney. Even movies like "New Groove" had a charm that made it a pure Disney film. But to me CL is like a wannabe film that tries hard to reach an audience, the same audience that loves Shrek to pieces. That isn't Disney.
Plus the art style and animation is really boring. CL looks cute and Abby looks funny, but everyone else...They look like they came out of a "How to draw" book with some really uninspired design.
Had this been done by another studio I would have given them a break. Disney can do better than this.
