Oh ok, I hadn't seen that trailer before so thanks for posting! It really is beautifully done and I'm glad to have been able to see it. I love how dramatic it makes the film look, especially Lady Tremaine as a particularly fearsome villain.
Is the Pagemaster a good movie? I've heard of it but never seen it. Didn't it flop at the box office?

Yeah, you're welcome guys! Oh, but I messed up again, it was "Summer", not "Fall" from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. And yes, the music is perfect for Cinderella Sotiris! And yes I agree I like the drama and how it makes Lady Tremaine look, JeanGrey.
The Pagemaster is one of my favorite films and I may buy it at my grocery store actually. It is not the best film in terms of narrative, but I like the journey of the main character and that through adventures he really does grow. I think it's a good movie but maybe others would not judge it so. You can look at Rotten Tomatoes maybe to judge. Or maybe it's for rent from some place.
That's all right. I'm glad I was introduced to this piece of music, although I'm sure I've heard it before, likely in a commercial.
I'll give the film a try, perhaps by renting it from the library.

Yes Vivaldi's music is often used in media. I know I heard "Summer" in a commercial, too, and his "Spring" is often used for anything meant to be fancy or quality.
I hope you get to see The Pagemaster! I love the adventurous and sometimes scary feelings from it!
I got to watch this on the big screen a few weeks ago. It looked like a Renaissance painting come to life. The audience was super excited and into it as well. I miss traditional animated fairy tale musicals. I wish the studio eventually goes back to that formula.
Wow, you're really lucky that you got to see both this and Cinderella on the big screen. What an enviable experience. I miss the traditionally animated fairy tale musicals as well. Everything from the so-called "Revival" era has not been up to the par of Walt's era or the 90s.

I would absolutely LOVE to see this on the big screen ! Much more so than any of the other Classics I think ... see all of that breathtaking artwork on a huge screen ? Yes please !
I was listening to the soundtrack on the way to work this morning, and that in itself is just so luscious.
I was watching All About Eve last night and got it stuck in my head that Hugh Marlowe sounded just like the narrator from SB. Checking this morning, I learned it's Marvin Miller, but Marlowe really sounded very similar.
Since I'm posting here anyway, I'll add that it's a shame Bette Davis never starred in an animated Disney film (I know she was tied to Warner Bros), but I'm not sure what character she could've played from the '50s and '60s anyway really. She wouldn't really suit Cruella at all. All I could think is that, although I wouldn't trade Eleanor Audley's superb performance at all, she would've been a good Lady Tremaine. I know 1977 would've been much later in her life / career, but I think she would've been a better Medusa than the one we got.

Cool, deleted animation! Also, I know they re-animated the whole forest scene with Aurora entering it and Phillip finding and dancing with her a bunch of times, I can't remember how many! They kept having to re-animate it because it didn't look perfect enough until the final time!

This was Milt Kahl's original design. Walt didn't like it and had him change it. He was right. It was too caricatured and not leading man material.
Oh wow, I do not like that nose. Very glad Walt changed it. He always had a knack for this sort of stuff and this is just further proof.
