Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)
Wow. Just wow. My family and I are mind blown how amazing this film is. This movie reminds me why I want to be a writer for Disney. This movie has everything: Humor, sweetness, emotions etc. It is so beautiful and moving. The movie is slow at the beginning, but it takes off when Riley moves in. I have to admit that I almost cried a couple of times.
The characters are so great and likable and i'm so pleased that Bing Bong wasn't the villain. The death was really moving. I love all of the emotions and I can't figure out who's my favorite.
This is defientely the best Pixar movie since TS3 and I'll be looking forward for its sweep, next award season. I am expecting a Best Picture nomination. This is literally going to be Pixar's Frozen. If Inside Out does better than Frozen, I don't want people to put down Frozen for it. And then if this happens, I don't want people to hate Inside Out for how popular it is.

That's what my mom said! Oh, and the credits are GLORIOUS! I lost it at the cat. Everyone applauded and a teenager yelled out YES! because that was so damn accurate.

Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)
You know, it's funny: for a while there's been a time where if there was even one CG studio where I didn't mind following up with their work, it was Pixar. But this has been the first Pixar movie since then where I've had zero interest in the movie right from the start. Zip. The fact is I've grown so sick of CG movies that I've finally lost interest in what Pixar does anymore and don't even feel in the mood to watch any of their past movies, because I know that I don't care about CG animation anymore. I care about hand-drawn/2D animation. That isn't saying anything about if I hate this movie or not. I simply don't care. As a kid, Toy Story was considered really cool when it was something so new and different for an animated film, but any appeal I may have had for computer animated movies has now faded away over the years, and I feel like I was following Pixar films for so long cause it was a fad to want to see what they could do. Now I don't really care what they, or any CG studio, can do.

You know.. You could just refrain from posting stuff like this. I don't want to shut you up, but we've heard this shtick over and over again... It's getting tiring.
Your obsession with 2D made my see that 2D was just a superficial form. Because it's not the 2D animation that makes a movie great, it's the story and everything that goes in it. Maybe you should start thinking about it from that way?

2Disney: Like I told you, I understand that you have Aspergers, but why do you have to make everything a CGI vs. 2D race? Make a separate board for this to save board space. And you're missing a heck of a movie.

Pixar movies don't matter to me anymore. The future of 2D animation is what I care about now.disneyprincess11 wrote:2Disney: Like I told you, I understand that you have Aspergers, but why do you have to make everything a CGI vs. 2D race? But, why pollute the thread with your 2D vs 3D gibberish?2Disney4Ever wrote:Pixar movies don't matter to me anymore. Funny you're mentioning it. When "Toy Story" was released, the media were asking if CGI had a chance to survive in the future. Now the tables have turned.2Disney4Ever wrote:As a kid, Toy Story was considered really cool when it was something so new and different for an animated film, but any appeal I may have had for computer animated movies has now faded away over the years, and I feel like I was following Pixar films for so long cause it was a fad to want to see what they could do. To re-iterate (text from this response):2Disney4Ever wrote:Pixar movies don't matter to me anymore. You are perfectly fine in having an anti-CGI agenda but this agenda does not supersede ANY forum rules or guidelines that EVERY member agrees to follow when they register for an account. You have been warned (repeatedly) in the past to remain on-topic. The moderating team has asked nicely for you to drop the aggressive and hostile attitude. We even allowed you "Sanctuary" threads (which I personally did not believe were necessary), both of which had to be closed because of violations of forum policy, most of the time instigated by yourself.
So, you have two options: you either abide by the forum rules and guidelines like everyone else which includes responding to threads with appropriate comments that remain on-topic or you look for discussion elsewhere. Either way, your current behavior will no longer be tolerated here.
Now, everyone, let's get back to talking about Inside Out.

Either way, don't think that our syndrome is something hampering and that makes us stupider than neurotypical people. Mostly it's not.

Three of us as I have it as well. Anyways I saw Inside Out the other day, and I really liked it. Pixar has returned to form. My favorite characters were Sadness & Anger. I loved the part in the credits with the cats as well. Too funny for sure. I would rank this as #3 in my all time favorite Pixar movies list behind Finding Nemo (I don't think anything could ever top Nemo) & Incredibles.DisneyFan09 wrote:Really? Then it makes two of us. Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.

Aspergers definitely does not hinder us intellectually.
I just dropped by to say that I just saw the movie and absolutely loved it! It is kind of the typical buddy comedy formula from Pixar, but nevertheless fires on all cylinders and actually really gave me some insight into emotional issues and depression, which I can personally identify with.

Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)
My feelings on having to wait another month for this to come out in the UK:

As I may have said before, this is the first Pixar film that has really had me intrigued in quite a while. I'm so glad people seem to be enjoying it and that it's doing well at the box office despite Jurassic World making an insane amount of money. Definitely can't wait until July 24th!
