The other night, I watched Yes Man. It was pretty funny at times, but not Jim Carrey's best work. Terrence Stamp was also good in his small role.

Prince Caspian. As good as any Narnia film should be.

27 Dresses - I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, but it was still a cute and funny movie. I love Katherine Heigl. :D

Anastasia-finally got around to watching it. I think I've seen it before, because I remember a few characters. It's really good, but doesn't really succeed in getting the Disney formula right, if it even tries. And it really is heavily rhotoscoped.

Last night I went over my friend's house and we watched Enchanted. It was funny and enchanting as always. (My parents actually took me to see Enchanted when it came out, and afterward, I asked them how it was, and my dad, to be nice, said that it was "enchanting". I think that deep down, he liked it, but he wanted us to continue thinking he's manly or something...  )

I watched He's Just Not That Into You, it was an okay movie. The best part of the movie is Ginnifer Goodwin's storyline.

Just watched STAR! a 1968 biographical musical about Gertrude Lawrence starring Julie Andrews. The musicals sequences in the film are superb, and I think I can say that with a little less bias as usual when it comes to this Julie Andrews film. I really had low expectations with this one, but it triumphed in proving me wrong. It's rather long, and the highlight is certainly the musical scenes, but in that respect I don't think it's that much different than The Sound of Music. I found that the only part I didn't like was facing the fact that this film, despite the efforts of the cast and crew in making this, still flopped.

Just finished watching Clue again. I recently noticed something that had me cracking up for a while. After the Cook bangs the gong, look closely behind Wadsworth and Miss Scarlet when Wadsworth says "Ah, dinner." Out in the hall, you can see the Cook running behind them in a mad sprint.

I saw Up for the second time today. Still just as enjoyable as the first time. I cried a little less this time, partly due to knowing what was coming up, and partly because I was there with 5 other people and didn't need them seeing me as a weeping pile of sob.

Word of warning for those of you expecting to see Land of the Lost and having a good time. This movie is PG-13 and should have been R-rated because of the 'toilet' humor, and rude and vulgar dialogue, and certain discussions about sex that didn't belong in this supposedly 'family' movie.

Will Ferrell again has taken a movie that could have been really good and ruined it with his vulgar and biting sense of humor.

"Land of the Lost" was a great cheesy 60s television show, and could have been so much had the right director and stars been in it. With Will Ferrell, what we get is a lead up to a punch line of a joke, and then ending the film before they deliver the punch line.

Wait for the DVD release, and then using your Rent One Get One Free coupon, make it your free one. It definitely is not worth even a matinee price for a movie.

Don't say you weren't warned.

:D

I also saw UP with my dad/sisters and brother.....Dad thought it was an unsual pixar film, claimed that Carl didn't have that much appeal (depth wise) which I agreed on, I think it lacked alil more comedy.

It's Pixar's 10th film and i noticed it was tryin to be the mature/aniv. type film yet stayed in the middle. My dad and I noticed the lack of inside jokes to other pixar films (which could've helped out) the plot could've been strong but still enjoyable.

A lot of films based on older television shows have been rated PG-13 and have contained just as much "vulgar" content. The Brady Bunch Movie (And its two sequels), The Addams Family (nd its sequels) and Bewitched, for example, both have crude and sex-related humor. Instead of adapting them, they parody them. I think the PG-13 rating should be enough for parents to know that this won't be a squaky clean film.

Up- I really liked this movie. It was super cute and definitely emotional. 3D was really cool too. Pixar knocks one out of the park yet again.

Terminator Salvation- Eh. It was ok. Good action and everything, but it was just ok.

Revolutionary Road- I freaking loved it. I have the same thoughts on that and I think that every married couple should watch that movie.

I was going to go to bed early, but then I wanted to watch an Elvis movie, so I watched Kissin' Cousins. It was a fun movie, as are most of his movies. As John in Carousel of Progress says: "It's a bunch of fluff, but it's fun". Elvis played two characters in the film, and they usually didn't "Parent Trap" it, but at the very end they did. Great music, and I was engaged in and entertained by the story.

I've Been Waiting for You - This was on Lifetime Movie Network, and I watched it. It was based on Lois Duncan's book, "Gallows Hill." It had Maggie Lawson, Sarah Chalke, and Soleil Moon Frye. It was actually good, albeit cheesy, and surprisngly frightening.

I just watched Atlantis: The Lost Empire. What's my catch-phrase for all the DACs? Oh, yes: "Wonderful, as always". :)

Meet the Robinsons and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? were both randomly on tv today so we watched them. Both get better with every viewing.

- Hard Candy

- Star Trek

- Terminator Salvation

- Stardust

All these were great, even though Star Trek kinda disappointed me a bit (I'm still trying to figure out how that whole time travel/alternate reality paradox relates to the official ST canon).

And I saw ST and TS back-to-back so I noticed a few similarities:
- Anton Yelchin, of course
- San Francisco was featured in both movies
- time travel's pretty popular
