Well here's the novel of my day. If ya don't wanna read it, look at the pictures and wait for the movie
Well, today was a VERY eventful Black Friday for me. All I bought was DVDs, and I bought a LOT of them.
FIRST, I went to the mall, and my only destinations were FYE and Saturday Matinee. I browsed FYE and saw a few things, and I then went to Saturday Matinee because I knew they would have what I saw in FYE there. I got QUITE the deal in there. I walked out with:
The Departed: 2 Disc Special Edition for $11.15. I've never seen this movie, but I heard it was good. So I figured "why not". Plus the original price was $33.99.
And since The Departed came from a bin that had movies on sale for $12.99 each or 2 for $20, I picked up
Forgetting Sarah Marshall: Single Disc Unrated Fullscreen Edition for $8.85. BEFORE YELLING AT ME FOR BUYING THE FOOLSCREEN EDITION, READ THIS!!!!: I have the 3 disc CE of this, but I always like having a backup copy in case something happens. Plus, it would be pretty expensive to replace the 3 Disc CE should something happen to it.
Before I went up to pay, I stumbled upon:
Family Guy: Blue Harvest: SPECIAL EDITION for ONLY $9.99! My jaw literally dropped when I saw it. Without even thinking, I headed up to the register and paid only $29.99 in total (without tax) - $10 less than the original price of Blue Harvest before the sale! I looked at the bottom of my receipt and saw the most beautiful words anyone could ever read - "You Saved $70.98!" I did a happy dance out of that store!
AFTER THE MALL, I headed toTarget, looking for Juno, season 3 of Sex and the City, and season 1 of Weeds. I go to the back of the store where the DVDs are, and they are ALL SOLD OUT of those 3 DVDs. I found many movies I had thought were on sale (Zohan theatrical, Journey to the Center of the Earth, What Happens in Vegas),and scanned them, come to find out they were NOT! I was SO mad. As I was leaving, I passed by the $3.98 DVD display and saw
Wedding Crashers: Uncorked Edition, $3.98
I had been wanting to see it since it came out, but I had never gotten around to it, and $3.98 seemed like a reasonable price, considering the DVD has some decent bonus features and has both versions of the film. I got home and found out that it's the FOOLSCREEN edition!!!! I was so mad, but on the other hand, Target didn't have any of the widescreen edition (which has a black banner as opposed to the FS's red). Plus it was a blind buy so I guess it's not that bad.
I THEN went to Circuit City, not really expecting much. I went over to the TV-on-DVDs for $12.99 bin, not expecting much. Lo and behold - what was sitting before my eyes but:
The King of Queens: The Complete 8th Season, $12.99
Even though I haven't finished season 7 yet, this was a steal, considering it was originally $34.99!
FINALLY, I headed to Best Buy, looking for season 1 of Entourage for $9.99. I looked through the bin, and all the seasons except the first one were there. I walked by a cart with DVDs that needed to be put out, and they had season 1 sitting there, so I helped myself

. I had in my hands:
Entourage: Season 1 $9.99.
Haven't seen the show but I've heard good things, so why NOT for $9.99. I went to go find Superbad! When I found it, I had to decide between the single disc rated or Unrated versions. I chose:
Superbad: Theatrical Version $6.99. The reason I wanted the theatrical one was because I figured if I liked the movie enough, I would eventually get the 2 disc unrated one.
For my final "steal" of the night, I found:
Supernatural: Season 3 for only $14.99 (marked down from $48.99). Even though I'm not done with season 2, I didn't care.
Well, now I'm home and exhausted. I think I'm gonna go pop a movie in that I got today and relax for the rest of the night.
