Cinderella III: I don't want the III!

Post by Disney Duster »

atlanticaunderthesea wrote:Ok, here is a big update for all the UK people!

The official UK logo is Cinderella: A Twist In Time

(nowhere to be seen is the III part of it).
If they're ignoring Cinderella II in the first place, I wish that the sequel would just be Cinderella: A Twist In Time here in the United States as well! A few people who don't own many DTV's are planning on buying this, and their collections will look very weird with the original, the III, and no II inbetween! And besides, everyone would like to forget II ever happened.

Anyway, I can't figure out the United Kingdom site either, but the United States site still hasn't updated the 8-minute preview so perhaps the sites will get worked out closer to the release date...but I want the stuff now! I can't wait to play the game and get the screensaver! I'm worried about extra clips though, because I don't want any more of the movie revealed to me. I want the Fairy Godmother's surprise anniversary party to be a surprise for me, too!

By the way, I found a promotional image of another scene, the one where Cinderella's in that mysterious white gown:

atlanticunderthesea, I know you wanted to learn how to post a screencap. So I pmed you about it. Tell me if you got my pm, and tell me if things work for you!

:( That's really upsetting but it would be because of legal reasons. They don't want anyone to see the clip before they're ready to show it- even though its ready to show and less then one month before the release. They did the same thing when someone released the Desperate Housewives Season 3 sneak peak trailer on You tube. One minute it was there and the next it was erased. Someone must serf Youtube every couple of weeks to ensure no one posts anything without there concent- it would be a big deal to them because its a sneak peak they haven't even released publically yet and it could screw up their marketing system. It's sad but it should be up soon enough on their main site for us to watch again. I'm just happy I watched it more then once before it was removed. :D

The clip is actually available at Disney.com, now, but ironically, it's not on the Cinderella III site. It's in the Disney Motion Video archive:

http://video.disney.go.com/motion/index ... II_CN00636

One oddity: Cinderella's singing voice is different here than in the YouTube/New York Times video. It seems like they had Jennifer Hale try out the song first (which is what you hear on Disney.com) and then decided to replace her with Cindy's usual singing voice, Tami Tappan.

Finally it's on an official Disney site, but...

Ummmm, I think they messed up in uploading the video or maybe it's just my computer. Everyone's voices are slightly a little bit deeper as if the whole video had been slowed down. I think that's why you thought it's a different singing voice for Cinderella. The Stepmother sounds the most affected by this error and you can tell that's what happened because when you go to the part where Cinderella pretends to be a maid in the castle she is not as high as in the other video we've all seen. I hope they fix it because it sounds bad and would give first time viewers the wrong impression.

That may be, but I'm positive that the song portion of the clip is a completely different session and voice. In the YouTube clip, her voice reached these high soaring notes and matched the sweeping background accompaniment more. In this clip, she seems to be more sing-speaking it.

I deffinatly agree that the voice audio has been distorted; Cinderella herself sounds so deep! They should sort it out soon; I agree Kram Nebuer, the audio is wrong, and I don't think its Jennifer Hale Disneykid, as it has all the same phrasings in the song as the original.

Disney Duster, thank you so much for the PM! I would PM back my thanks, but I don't have that function. Thank you though; its made it all very clear, and now I feel I can post pictures! Wooo! Thank you for taking the time and effort to explain it to me. I'll test it out now!

I just thought how strange it was for the UK, with our first trailer of Cinderella 3. Fitst we had this logo, with no III, but 3 instead:

Image

And no subtitle 'A Twist In Time' either.

Then we get:
Image

To confuse us further, and not Feb 12th!

Then, with the disney.co.uk website, a whole new logo was revealed, with the III being dropped all togther, and the animated 'twist' in the logo has been moved as well! What a mess Disney has made out of its R2 promotional material!

Does anyone know if there will be a premiere for this movie, like Cinderella II and The Little Mermaid II ?

And considering how well this one is being recieved, it would seem strange not to!

Twisted Pumpkin Coach

Post by Disney Duster »

I'm very glad to see that you can finally post pictures, atlanticaunderthesea! I was worried I wouldn't explain how to do it well, but you mastered the process! And your big pictures look great so I think Photobucket is fine for now, until you want to post HUGE pictures, if you ever will have ones that big. Usually Photobucket only resizes images if you have animations. My avatar used to be much bigger, but I animated it with so many frames, it got resized. I like Photobucket, anyhow. They still let me post great pictures like this:
Image
I found this on a shirt on eBay that the seller said was given to the crew that worked on Cinderella III! This was a longtime ago. I thought I had lost the link, but I just recently found it again. The logo is the same as the one for Cinderella II, with an added I. And the pumpkin coach looks messed up and kind of evil with thorns growing on it.

We'll probably be seeing that twisted pumpkin coach in the movie, and if you go to www.cinderella3dvd.com you can find a picture of a twisted-looking pumpkin coach in the gallery, next to Cinderella riding her purple horse.

And you're right, I hope there are premieres for this and The Little Mermaid III!

Random post, but, hi Disney Duster! Thank you so much for the PM! I would PM back, but of course I can't. ^^;

To answer your question, yes, I am the same "Daniel Jake" over at Animated News. ^-^

Also, thanks for straightening out the situation about the 8 minute preview. As much as I'm tempted, I'm still going to avoid it. Sorry. ^^

So um, yeah, I'm very exited about Cinderella III: A Twist in Time! I'm even avoiding all major spoilers, such as that big evil thread around here. :D

Oh, and to further my point about being exited. On February 5 at midnight, I'll be at a local store purchasing the movie!! *gasp* haha, yes, I'm that anxious/exited!! :)

Old Fish Tale, THANK YOU SO MUCH for saying all that! You rock too! I only know a lot about this sequel and Cinderella because I'm so interested in them and I search relentlessly, even in other languages. Still, there's tons I don't know that only Disney archivists and insiders would know about, that I hope to one day know...

Daniel Jake, wow, I didn't think you'd post. Sorry to kind of bring you out into the open here. I just wanted to point out that the people over at Animated News who saw the sneak peek didn't quite see the whole scenes. Its a rushed version. By the way, your Sonic avatar is cool. Sonic will always be cool because he's old school. If they brought him back in CGI or something, that would be weird. But he should have a classic comeback or something...

Wow, going at midnight is dedication! I actually pre-ordered the movie at Suncoast Video, and it comes with a free poster!

So bradhig, if you pre-order the movie at Suncoast they may offer a free poster with it, which is sort of another product for the movie!
