Does anyone know how well Frozen has done in the UK ? On IMDB it is currently number 3, though I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Frozen is at least a shoo-in for Golden Globes and the BAFTA. It could win the Oscar against Wind Rises. But, I swear if Monster's U. is nominated for a Oscar and beats Frozen and TWR just because it's Pixar, then yeah, we can start a rampage.

Frozen had it's Norwegian premiere December 25th, and it has been the number one movie for two weekends now. On January 5th it had sold 307 896 tickets. I predict it will do well for several more weeks. It's only competition is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 opening January 17th, but I don't imagine that movie would be as big a hit as Frozen.

'Frozen' Soundtrack Storms to Top Of Billboard 200

"Frozen" is the fourth animated film soundtrack to reach No. 1 in the chart's 58-year history.

The soundtrack to Disney's "Frozen" blows into the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200, selling 165,000 copies in the week ending Jan. 5, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It rises from No. 4 last week and earns a 55% gain in sales.

"Frozen" marks the first soundtrack to reach No. 1 in a year, since "Les Misérables" rose to No. 1 on the Jan. 19, 2013, chart. (That chart reflected the sales week that ended Jan. 6, mirroring how this week's chart reflects the week ending Jan. 5, 2013.)

"Frozen" bumps Beyoncé's self-titled album from the No. 1 position, down to No. 2 in its fourth chart week, with 130,000 (down 58%). "Beyoncé" spent its first three weeks at No. 1, and has now sold 1.43 million. This week, total sales for the album also surpass that of the diva's previous album, "4," which was released in 2011 and has sold 1.39 million.

"Frozen" climbs to the top courtesy of the movie's continued strong showing at the box office, along with sale pricing for the set last week in the iTunes Store. The music-filled movie topped the U.S. and Canada box offices during the Jan. 3-5 weekend, and has earned $298 million, according to Box Office Mojo. It's currently the fourth-highest-grossing film released in 2013.

The soundtrack has grown in sales every week since its debut at No. 18 on the Dec. 14, 2013, chart. Its cumulative sales have now passed the half-million mark, as its additional 165,000 this week bring its total to 503,000.

"Frozen" is just the fourth animated film soundtrack to reach No. 1 since the Billboard 200 became a regularly published weekly chart in 1956. It follows Jack Johnson's "Curious George" (2006), and Disney's "Pocahontas" (1995) and "The Lion King" (1994).

"Cinderella," "The Lion King," and "Pocahontas" each spawned one or more Oscar-nominated songs. Look for "Frozen" to follow suit. "Let It Go," the movie's power ballad, is up for a Golden Globe this weekend and is almost certain to be in the running for Best Song when the Oscar nominations are announced Jan. 16. Two versions of the song are climbing the Hot 100. Idina Menzel's version ranked No. 32 last week. Demi Lovato's version was No. 43.

I just saw Frozen this week, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who didn't love it. It wasn't terrible, and I was looking forward to seeing a Disney animated musical, but the music fell short for me. I was mostly disappointed because I found the lyrics to be generally very basic. It's like the lyrics just stated the obvious instead of allowing us to learn more about what the characters were thinking and feeling in a way that dialogue alone couldn't do. The only song I really liked for it's cleverness was Olaf's song, but that was kind of a throwaway number not crucial to the story. I also found something about the general tone of the story and characters to be difficult to warm up to. There was always something off-putting about the film, and I can't put my fingers on it, but I just found myself trying to like it too much.

It was missing the warmth and likability factor even though all the pieces were there. I'm not sure if Frozen is overworked or underworked, but it felt like an uncompleted draft without all it's flaws worked out compared to Disney's high standards.

I'm in Epcot righ now and the line for Anna and Elsa has been 3+
Hours all day. And cast members say that the line sometimes goes over 5 hours!!

As for frozen's soundtrack. Is it me or is it not fair to compare it to lion king and anything pre-iTunes?

I mean, if people haven't been able to buy let it go they'd have to buy the entire soundtrack.
What do you guys think?

This is an excellent point. Had iTunes existed twenty years ago, I have a feeling that the soundtrack for The Lion King would have sold just as much as Frozen, just because of accessibility.

I like Frozen but I don't think it's the "OMG GREATEST THING EVER11!" like so many people. It's okay, I guess. I find better Disney songs and lots of more likeable characters in their previous works that only in Frozen.
