I think the season finale (and the last episodes) have been quite satisfying. I'm already looking forward to season 2. According to the LA Times, it will debut later this year.

I don't like the remake's Magica de Spell. I liked what they were doing early on by using the shadows to give her more weight as an antagonist, but the reveal was a letdown. Everything from the duck!Maleficent design, to the voice, the personality, etc. just didn't work for me. More disappointing because she was always my favorite of the villains.

Donald having a normal voice was kind of creepy...

I think Magica was a bit too stupid. She was more intelligent in the original series. It's the same problem I have with Glomgold. He's funny, but he would seem a more serious threat if he wasn't so dumb.

It must've been a great experience.

It was. It was like "The Big Bang Theory" (nerd culture and all; Disney nerds in this case), and up there on the stage was a short-lived cast member of that show. Kate Micucci plays one of Raj's girlfriends on the show, an introvert named Lucy. Fun fact: Micucci was originally planned to play Sheldon's girlfriend on the show, but she got passed over in favor of Mayim Bialik instead.

I didn’t know that, though I don’t watch that show regularly. I’ve only seen a few random episodes on TV. I think Micucci has quite a unique voice and does a great job in DuckTales as Webby.

What a great way to ruin the entire Disney Afternoon in one go.

I'm for one beyond thrilled with the Golden Afternoon characters coming, especially Goofy and the Rescue Rangers. But, my concern is if they're going take away any story/character development in order to make way of showboating nostalgia and easter eggs. Pretty much like how the Princesses outshadowed Ralph in RBtI.

I wonder if the last half of Season 3/Season 4 will have House of Mouse.
