Tangled added $17.5 million from 52 territories (representing 88 percent of the international market). It opened to $2.8 million in South Korea, which was strong for a U.S. animated movie. It also grossed $4.4 million in Spain and $3.2 million in the U.K., and its total reached $310.1 million. On Sunday, it passed $500 million worldwide, and, with March openings in Thailand and Japan, it should eventually reach $600 million.

600 millions?! That's amazing for a Walt Disney Animation Studios-film. But it's about time Disney finally got a big animated (economical) success again:D
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

I would have guessed several Disney princesses would be Sagittarius, since at least Belle, Tiana, Rapunzel all had their "birthdays" (aka movie release days) in that time span!

Rapunzel looks hideous in that clip art line-up though.
I've never liked the art of her holding her hair in one hand like that. In the silhouettes it is even worse and looks like some odd blob.

Tangled is going to be the second highest grossing DAC (unadjusted) by next week! Bested only by TLK.

Although it is far the the most profitable films.

listening to the tangled soundtrack again
I noticed that in the film they didn't included the part in Mother Knows Best were Gothel says "Go ahead get trampled by a rhino"
Does anyone know why this wasn't included in the film and are they adding it to the blu-ray version

many thanks for a responds (Y)

There is a feature on the upcoming Blu-ray, seeing the extended songs and why they decided to shorten them.

"Extended Songs -- The complete versions of two great songs are shared in a unique feature that explains the co-directors decision to scale them down.
- When Will My Life Begin
- Mother Knows Best"

I hope there is an option that will allow you to watch the extended songs and the original storybook opening as a part of the full movie. I kidn of doubt there will be though :(

You're welcome!

As for the dress shop, I don't think that scene is included in the Deleted Scenes. Here are the scenes that are to be included according to the press release:

"Deleted Scenes – Co-directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno introduce three scenes and illuminate why they were ultimately cut."
• The Jaunty Moose
• Chemistry Develops
• Vigor The Visionary

Victurtle wrote:^I find that sentence really annoying. Obviously if it was successful, it wasn't terrible; it was smart. Maybe you could use the word "horrifying, misleading, undisney" advertising.

Personally, I think word-of-mouth benefitted this movie the best. I heard mostly rave reviews from friends and randoms.
And I've seen 1 or 2 "this movie sux", but those people are like a thousand dollar bill.....only less rich.

Wow..... *makes grabby hands at Japanese posters*

That banner is adorable, Sotiris. Bear-Flynn would have been a sweetheart like Sulley in Monsters Inc.

Chemistry Develops? Oooh! More Flynn and Rapunzel love!
It could be the dress shop, because their chemistry started developing during the Kingdom Dance sequence. Perhaps that deleted scene is just stuff they didn't put into that sequence... Like the dress shop!

Is this the first actual poster of just Mother Gothel? I know we've seen clip art and such, but not a full poster for her alone, right? Anyway, fantastic marketing. I think Tangled, Rapunzel's tower as it is apparently called in Japan, will break out BIG over there. It's easily making $600 million worldwide now. Disney's second biggest movie ever.

You know, I don't really like Bear!Flynn and Rapunzel together as a couple. If they were more like brother and sister or something, it would be OK, but as a couple, they look really awkward, like in that concept art of them hugging. It just doesn't really work well for me. I'm glad Flynn's design turned out the way it did. Just my two cents. :)
