Still, it's possible to be just a tiny bit disappointed by the numbers, for they are short of both Disney's champ (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest's $423.5 M) and the animation champ (Shrek 2's $441.2 M). Toy Story 3 seemed to have the ideal blend of universal appreciation, through-the-roof demand, and four-quadrant appeal.
Who wrote this review? I could've sworn that TS3 has already surpassed Shrek 2 to be the highest grossing animated film of all time (surpassing $1 billion) or was the writing referring to a difference in the domestic vs all-time? :?
Luke is referring to domestic numbers.

I want the ulitimate box set that has the trilogy with the special case, is this something that I can only get online? If I buy it on Amazon will I receive it on the release date, or is that when they ship it? I know with games they sometimes (or maybe everytime) they ship it before the release date so it gets to you on time or earlier. think that would be the case here too?

I'm going to sell my original blu ray editions of the first two movies, and since I only paid 2 bucks each for them, and should be able to profit by selling them, even though their open and used. and the toy box is still cheaper than buying all 3 at full price. so I won't feel too bad about going for this set, even though there's nothing extra of any real value in it.

Edit: also, I skimmed through the dvdizzy review and now and Im curious about something; do they have similar content to the older dvds (and the older ultimate toy box) where they show camera fly bys and 3d model rotations? Im wanting reference material basically. a close look at the models, decals, bluprints, textures, that kind of thing.

Oh, great! They lowered the prizes down. They had the 4 disc for 28 earlier when I checked . Yay :)

I'm still wondering when Disney will release the coupon.
I'm guessing they will release it during this week.

I hope they have a coupon soon. It'd be cool to get a light up buzz...but I just want TS3 with the B.R.+DVD+the free Digital Copy for my iPod.

the only coupon so far that I've seen in my email from Disney was NOT for Toy Story 3, it was for those "have a laugh" dvds.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Really dumb question, will this be the featured title on Disney Movie Club?
Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!

Luke and Kelvin, are you sure the dvd version of TS3 has an audio commentary? Because on all the press releases I've read I haven't seen that being listed as an extra.

Can anybody confirm yet is there is anything in Trilogy Box set that you cannot get in the 3 separate blu-ray releases other than the box and the digital copies of 1 & 2?

Also, how are the discs packaged inside the box?

There is nothing else.

You can see a video of the package opening on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

Ack...that might be a deal breaker for me. :(

I want the toy box, but not at the expense of actual cases.

Any word on the 3D version of this movie? Rumor had it that it was going to be released soon... like in the next few weeks. What is funny is that Disney refers to the home 3D version on it on promos for the 3D blu-ray products.
It's more fun when we're number 1!

Yeah the way the discs are packaged in the Toy Box would be a deal breaker for me too. I think there will be a lot of loose discs in these sets from the way it looks.

Not yet.

Saw the local Wal-Mart ad today and they have a Toy Story 3 DVD exclusive. Its a 3 disc set. Disc 1 is the DVD, Disc 2 is a bonus DVD with 7 Mater shorts, and Disc 3 is a digital copy of Toy Story 3. It was listed at $24.xx.
