Tomorrow night at 6pm Central, Radio Disney will host another High School Musical 3 Planet Premiere. It will be of the duet Right Here, Right Now with Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
So tomorrow, Friday October 10th, make sure to listen!!!
Radio Disney has announced on October 18th they’ll be hosting the Planet Premiere of the High School Musical 3: Senior Year soundtrack. It all starts at 7pm ET and will feature the stars of the film.
You're welcome! I'm glad that you posted here, because it was turning into Amy's HSM3 thread, lol. It'd be cool if more people here were into HSM, but it's alright...
I've actually been listening to the three soundtracks for a while now to get into the hype.
I do try not to come into this thread too often because I don't want too many spoilers...but you make it really tempting Amy; thanks for keeping us up-to-date.
My thought and opinions (highlight to see):
1. Now or Never - Cast - A good start to the soundtrack, very reminiscent of What Time Is It? with the taste of Getcha Head In The Game. 7/10
2. Right Here, Right Now - Troy and Gabriella - For some reason this slow number reminded me of Gotta Go My Own Way with the style of music. 6/10
3. I Want It All - Sharpay and Ryan - I've always loved this song from the first time I heard it. Pretty much Fabulous and Bop To The Top mashed together. The extended version they played was really cool. 9.5/10
4. Can I Have This Dance - Troy and Gabriella - Nice, slow one. I liked it. 7.5/10
5. A Night To Remember - Cast - Reminded me of Stick To The Status Quo, but didn't pack the same punch. Still cool, though. 7/10
6. I Just Wanna Be With You - Ryan, Kelsi, Troy and Gabriella - Like a mix between You Are The Music In Me and I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You. Really Cool. 8/10
7. The Boys Are Back - Troy and Chad - They finally have their own duet and I think it worked pretty well. Reminds me of Getcha Head In The Game, with more of a rock flavour. 8/10
8. Walk Away - Gabriella - Imagine the words from Gotta Go My Own Way, mixed with When There Was Me And You, set to the musical stylings of Macy Grey. That is Walk Away. 5.5/10
9. Scream - Troy - Pretty much Bet On It with more rock. 6/10
10. We're All In This Together (Graduation Mix) - Cast - A slow, choral version of We're All In This Together. Really moving and emotional. Nearly bought me to tears. 9/10
11. Senior Year Spring Musical - Cast - This was a bit different for the High School Musical movies, because it is pretty much a mega-mix incorporating Last Chance (a duet with Ryan and Kelsi), Now Or Never, I Want It All (Ryan only version), I Just Wanna Be With You, and A Night To Remember. I think it's really cool, but I am a bit worried about how they'll fit it into the movie. But I still love the song. 9/10
12. High School Musical - Cast - We're All In This Together and All For One mixed together and made more 'sparkly'. Awesome. In my opinion, tied for the the best song from all three movies (with Breaking Free). 10/10
All in all, I think the soundtrack is fantastic. It feels fresh, but doesn't deviate from what we love from the first two.
I can't believe the movie is finally coming out this Friday! How exciting. I am seeing the cast promoting the movie everywhere. Did anyone see Zac Efron on Jay Leno! He was too cute. Let the countdown begin!
I'm considering going to see this. Will feel silly though considering I'm 28 and will be going alone. But oh well. I enjoyed the others movies and want to see this one. Will wait a week or so though to go and see it.
wow, friday! Will put the free ticket from the HSM2 DVD to use. I'll go at noon so the theater will be tween free... and most likely human free; then I'll
go to the All Time Low concert so I doubt I'll be back to give my early review.
After listening to the soundtrack numerous times, "Just Wanna Be With You" is officially my favorite song. I thought that it was my favorite song back when I heard it online a few days ago, but now it's official.
I'm definitely loving the soundtrack- I like it just as much as the HSM & HSM2 soundtracks.
Oh, and "The Boys Are Back" makes me tingle with extra excitement for seeing Corbin on the big screen...since he'll be the main point of the scene (I'll be watching him and not Zac, thank you very much).
