I have a birthday coming up (I'm going to be 23), but unlike several years pasts' b-days, I won't have much of anyone to celebrate it with, save for my parents. Yet for a few days, my sister and her husband were up here for a few days and we partially celebrated my birthday with a trip to a buffet that I like so much, but that and sayings of "Happy birthday" were the only things mentioned of my birthday. No presents, no cake, no nothing else. Now they've left for their jobs and I don't have anyone else to celebrate it with besides my parents. My grandmother would come, except she is in the hospital. And all my other relatives are all over the place and they can't come, and I hardly ever see what few friends I have. Basically, the people who would see me are either indisposed or are just too busy to be with me. So what should I do about the problem of celebrating my birthday? Who can be there?

Don't celebrate it. Instead, when you *can* get a lot of family/friends together, celebrate your UNbirthday, Wonderland style!BDF wrote:So what should I do about the problem of celebrating my birthday?

You've got 364 UNbirthdays a year (365 this year as it's a leap year!), so it's never too late!BDF wrote:Very funny. Well, sorry, but it's getting a bit late for that.Escapay wrote: Don't celebrate it. Instead, when you *can* get a lot of family/friends together, celebrate your UNbirthday, Wonderland style!![]()

Plus, birthday celebrations don't always have to be on the anniversary of the day of your birth.

Well, I know all that. But whenever possible, b-day celebrations should held on the anniversary of your day of birth. At least that's how it's always been in my family.Escapay wrote: You've got 364 UNbirthdays a year (365 this year as it's a leap year!), so it's never too late!![]()
