Cinderella III: A Twist in Time DVD Press Release/Discussion
I've looked everywhere, and I can't find a deffinate release date for this movie in the UK! It was earlier than the states, then it went to Feb 6th, then Feb 12th. Now, it only says 'availible for pre-order' on amazon.co.uk, and on play.com its vanished all together! I'm really sad about this!
I'm in Disneyland Paris on Feb 1st till the 3rd, do you think it will be availible there?

Perhaps I should just keep my trap shut, but...TheNikki wrote:Yeah it's very inspiring to see all the posts about this movie. I know this is going to be a very long month, but it will be so nice to see everyone's thoughts on the film once they've seen it.
Am I the only person, after having watched the 8-minute preview, is actually looking less forward to this?
It seemed rather intriguing at first, but now it feels like it's gone to the status of a car accident - I don't want to obsess over the quality of the animation or story, but can't seem to help myself, especially with how the story's going...

Apologise if I'm going to sound rude but could the negative people please not spoil the film for the rest of us. I know the Disney sequels do get a lot of bad press but now finally the bulk of us can agree that at least one of the films is going to be good.
I hate sounding mean to others but after all this hype, negativity is just going to cause issues and may hurt the people who are excited about the film. Before you judge it poorly wait and see the film in its completed form. Hey if Disney Duster (the Cinderella fanatic) can support and be excited about this film I think the rest of us can be. I for one, as I have mentioned before, can't wait to see this title when its available on DVD. For once Disney is doing a sequel that could be remembered for more then five minutes (in other words a film worthy of its predecessor).
Please don't ruin the excitment for the rest of us here at Ultimate Disney by posting negative thoughts about the film. No Disney title could really be called an 'abomination'.
Again I am sorry if I have offended anyone on the forum with this post but I just want to enjoy the upcoming month discussing this film on Ultimate Disney in a positive way.

Just replying to Mickey Mouse boys last post. Firstly thank you for being so understanding of my feelings about this film. I read your post in the spoiler thread and I'm glad to see you have a little more faith in the film now having read the spoilers about the films storyline.
I realize that many of the Disney sequels have problems and most are made to just make money but some do have some good pionts to.
HA! I just remembered a quote from the first Cinderella.
Cinderella: Lucifer has his good pionts to. For one thing he... (pause) well sometimes he... (pause) hmm... there must be something good about him.
Now we could rephrase that and make it apply to many of the Disney sequels but I do try to have an open mind.
To answer your question I have seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 and this may shock you but I do quite enjoy the film (despite its obvious animation flaws and BAD songs!- Sorry that's the only sequel that I can't stand the music from). But the good thing about that film is the story. I love seeing Quossi find the girl of this dreams and thats why I enjoy it. I enjoy it for their relationship- despite the fact Zeffer needs to have La Fe Delle dropped on his head!

Cinderella III: Exitement and Disappointment?
Disney Live On: I just wanted to say that your comments about the 8-minute preview, where you were so touched by Cinderella losing her dreams and her slipper, really touched me. I wish I could react to things like that. It's true, when I watch Cinderella I feel sad when she cries in the garden and so happy when she shows the stepmother her slipper, but I've never gotten so deeply involved except perhaps as a child. So many more people on these forums seem more passionate towards the films they love in general, but your reaction was so emotional, it's something to make me feel, "Yea, Cinderella is good."
In fact, it is not just Disney Live On's passion, but everyone's passion here, that makes me even more excited and hopeful for Cinderella III. If everyone here was being negative about it, I wouldn't be nearly as happy. I love you guys. You're awesome.
Leonia, it's fine that you got less excited for the film after the preview. I will admit the animation isn't perfect, but it is certainly better than it could have been, and despite not every character looking on model all the time, they are at least more on-model than the previous sequel, and every movement, on-model or not, is truly beautiful to me.
MickeyMouseBoy, I know these sequels are made for money, but did you know that even Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was made because Walt thought he wasn't getting enough money from the cartoon shorts? And then the original Cinderella was made to rejuvinate the studio and make money for Disneyland and the television programs. Anyway, it is evident in the footage we've seen that the artists definately tried harder to make the art match the original more (especially evident in the backgrounds), and they really made effort to produce lovely animation. Jens, who knows people who worked at DisneyToon Studios Australia, said they put their heart and souls into the animation. Don't forget that for money or not, people had to work on this film as their job with a low budget and they did what they could. The people who worked on the film want to be good animators, and so I'm sure they at least try and give it they're all.

Re: Cinderella III: Exitement and Disappointment?
True but Walt wasnt greedy like the studio heads now a days and he invested his money on other profetable ventures. Walt wouldn't create sequels if he was in financial problems or just to get more $$$ i think Walt would try to out do himself and do something different. that's my point when it comes to sequels they have no purpose than to kill the characters with dumb story plots as they act like idiots (example Bambi II - bambi acts like a 20th century bimbo - the animals act like they're brainless) if you're going to do a sequel make it like the original where it doesn't use much pop culture and endures thru the years/decades/trends.... that's my only problem with sequels.. if they were done in good heart just like Rescuers down under then i would welcome them gladly!Disney Duster wrote:MickeyMouseBoy, I know these sequels are made for money, but did you know that even Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was made because Walt thought he wasn't getting enough money from the cartoon shorts? Re: Cinderella III: Exitement and Disappointment?
Thankyou Disney Duster for your kind words. I'm so glad that everyone at Ultimate Disney is so kind and welcoming on these forums. Sometimes you can join forums with people who just want to fight and be negative all the time but here everyone is accpeted and treated with dignity.
I just wanted to hop on today and announce that I can officially wait no longer for this sequel. I am absolutely dying to see it.
I have watched the 8-minute preview ten times since I first knew of its existance two days ago. It is wonderful and I can't wait to hear more of Cinderella's new songs. Thankyou to atlanticaunderthesea for posting the 'Princess Voices' post cause I finally found out who was performing as Jennifer Hale's singing voice and she is amazing. I am so excited about this film and I am so happy to see that people are reading my posts and enjoying what I have to say. It makes me feel, as I have said before, so welcome and accepted here at Ultimate Disney. I realize I am a little late but I'd like to give a big shout out to everyone on this forum and say: HAPPY NEW YEAR AND (as Cinderella would say) MAY THE DREAMS THAT YOU WISH COME TRUE TO...
guys i cant find the 8 minute link.can someone repost it or point it out to me? sorryyy ive looked at all the pages but i dont see it.maybe i need a new pair of lenses.
There are two ways to find it. On the previous page of this discussion at the bottom (I think just before my long rant about it) there is still an active link to the Cinderella III 8-minute preview. If that doesn't work go to youtube and search Cinderella III. The sneak peak is listed there on the first page that comes up.
Hope that helped. IT IS SO WORTH WATCHING!!!

Ok, here is a big update for all the UK people!
The official UK logo is Cinderella: A Twist In Time
(nowhere to be seen is the III part of it).
I've taken a screen shot of it, but not sure how to post it!
BUT when it says, 'Click Here!', which I did, it takes you to the UK Cinderella: 2 Disc Special Edition DVD site!! !!
What is all that about? Is a fault with the website?
Here is the link for everyone else to try:
http://www.disney.co.uk/
When you go on, the main picture always changes each time. Just use the up and down arrows by the scrolling banner to get to Cindy.
The Disney DVD Online shop is closed, so I can't go and find a release date either, but as it is featured on the front page, I'm guessing the release isnt too far away.
Just thought I'd update everyone!

okay! i finally saw the clip! here's my comments.
cinderella is very on-model! the speaking voice even! but the singing's too modern.
the other voices sounded different
the animation is better than cindy II
and i don't like the prince using terms like 'mom' and 'dad'.its just not regal and befitting.
can't wait.
