Next to go into the vault
Disney usually puts items into the vault early in the new year.
Does anyone have any guess which DVD will go into the vault next?

I'm thinking Aladdin, I really need to hurry up and get all these DVD's! I don't have any of the ones listed here, I really need to get Cinderella, Fox and The Hound (one of my favorites), and Aladdin, not to mention AIWonderLand.

OOP
They did quietly discontinue the Vault Disney releases of Old Yeller, Pollyanna, The Parent Trap and Swiss Family Robinson, so these are no longer available ( I know Old Yeller is with Savage Sam on a double set and Parent Trap is with Parent Trap II on a double set). So Pollyanna and Swiss Family Robinson are the only ones you can't get now in stores.
My questions is, would Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo go OOP any time soon? They have been out for a long time. Also, I was thinking about Mary Poppins. Will it stay out long? Just my 2 cents.
I think the one I would be most surprised at if they put in the vault is The Incredibles.

OOP Vault Disney
According to DVD Aficionado, Pollyanna and Swiss Family Robinson are OOP. Amazon probably doesn't have it listed yet, because they still have copies in stock. DVD Aficionado releases information on discontinuations and releases before Amazon does.

No, they are still in print. Visit this page for more information:DisneyPrincess wrote:According to DVD Aficionado, Pollyanna and Swiss Family Robinson are OOP. OOP Classics
That's interesting. I guess now's a good time for people to get them if not already, just in case. DVD Aficionado is usually right, but there's always a first!

Re: OOP Classics
Likely, DVDaf is just speculating, unless they know something we don't know. I remember for months wondering why their entry for the Studio Classics edition of "The Mark of Zorro" was always marked as Out of Print, and come October, the abhorrent colorized version came out, which made sense to discontinue the SC version.DisneyPrincess wrote:That's interesting. If Pollyanna and Swiss Family Robinson were vaulted, quietly, does that mean they intend to do some kind of different re-release with it? They already missed 45th Anniversary with this year, so they may possibily re-release it with their re-makes.
And if we're still speculating on other titles, with the early news we got about a month ago about a Bedknobs and Broomsticks remake on the way, methinks that the current Gold Collection/30th Anniversary Edition will quietly go out of print in order for a newer edition to come out concurrent with a theatrical release of the remake. But that's only possible if Disney is indeed going to do a remake.

OK, I think we should be hearing soon...unless Disney has changed its practices and is retiring titles at some other point in the year. Aladdin is the best bet for a title going OOP, along with its sequels.
My completely random guess- if titles are being placed in the vault on January 31st, we will hear about it next week. That's a random guess, though, so take it with a few grains of salt.

Is Aladdin going into the vault?
Hi everyone.
I'm finding that Aladdin is getting harder to find. I had to go to three places until I found a copy for my nephew for Christmas. According to the OOP list it isn't in the vault, but it sure seems that way since none of the 2 major retailers didn't have any?
Just want to know if I should pick some more copies (just in case) for my future nieces and nephews
