Is there any reason you went for that instead of the superior but also discontinued <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/peterpan.html">Special Edition</a>?

Because I had been bidding on one and got outbid (twice) at the last second by some b*tch. I was so hyped up I had to get the one going off next and that happened to be an LI

I got it for cheaper and honestly, I watch the extras once (if that) and then usually just watch the movie. (at least that's what I'm telling myself  )

i got a new Beauty and the Beast DVD for 35.00 with slipcover. the thing is that sometimes the slipcovers are damaged and they don't state that in the auction. but it doesn't really matter cause you can request slipcovers from disney customer service

Ryan said I'm a bad ebay buyer. :p
He said, if it wasn't for him choosing the Toy Story auction, I would've paid $80 for the Hong Kong Bootleg (because it's nice, right MMP? :p)
Tis okay, those sellers better give me my money back otherwise they'll never hear the end of my B*TCHING, and im pretty good at it. ;)

magicalwands, he paid $46 + shipping and insurance for Tarzan CE. :)

I just bid on a Snow White Platinum DVD on Ebay. There had been 7 bids and just one day left and the auction was only up to 7.68 I innstantly became excited and bid 30.00 on it. I then began to read and it said that the guy purchased the box, disc and artwork seperatley and that they were all in new condition. When I asked him if it was the 2 disc official version or a bootleg all the guy said was that it was the 1 disc version! Did they make a 1 disc version? If it is real should I pay 30 dollars for it? I should have read into it more but Snow White is one of the few I need to complete my collection. Any help would be appreciated, I can post a link to the auction if neccessary. Thanks alot.

First, let's start off on a positive note: Welcome to UD, Stitch's Glitch!

And to the bad news... :(, Disney never made a 1 disc version. $30.00 for 1 disc bootleg Snow White is definitely NOT worth it.

http://www.ultimatedisney.com/snowwhite.html states
1.33:1 Original Aspect Ratio (Fullscreen)
Dolby Digital Mono & 5.1 (English)
Subtitles: English; Closed Captioned
Release Date: October 9, 2001
Two Single-sided, dual-layered discs (DVD-9)
Suggested Retail Price: $29.99
Black Double Alpha Keepcase
THX-Certified
Out of Print
Please post a link to the auction.
Usually helps seeing feedback and previous auctions from the seller...
Sorry about the bid.

Here it is, I am so worried about this cause I have perfect feedback and If I retract this bid it will be a bad mark against me for something stupid!
Thanks alot for the fast reply, I can already tell that I will like it here. I have looked for a site like this for so long!

Hi,
It is not a big thing to retract a bid, they cannot leave you neg feedback. It just shows a retracted bid on your profile. No one
pays attention to retracted bids. If you don't know how to do it
just go to the help section and put in bid retraction and follows the
instructions.

Also the one disc version is one
of the Asian ones.
Hope this helps...

I have seen the Asian ones on there before and they have Asian Lettering on the box as well so wouldn't this be false advertising? I do not want to pay $30 dollars for the ine disc version when I could get the American one for a little bit more. I think I will retract it.

If you look at the guy's negatives they are mostly "bootleg, beware." Albeit few compared to how many he has sold, but still. I think it is false advertising but if i were you I'd retract it. It's sketchy... he sold a LI Little Mermaid and the person complained it was a bootleg, he said no, and they said "then why the heck do the subtitles include chinese?!" Retract it while you still can.

packwingfn~ before going on ebay I would search the internet. The Donald Vol 1 is still in some stores and I just bought mine off overstock.com for $23 with $1.40 shipping. I know that it probably isn't nice to post something like this when one of the members here is the one selling it, but if it were me I would want to know about being able to buy something for about $24.50 incl shipping as opposed to $32.50. Sorry if this makes anyone mad :(

I've checked all my local stores (walmart, best buy, newbury comics, target, disney store) and all I can find are the latest ones, "On the Front Lines", "Mickey in Color Vol 2 (which I own)" and complete pluto.

But thanks for the tip, I will check overstock.com right now. Do they only accept credit cards? And are there any other good cheap RELIABLE sites selling cheap disney dvds and/or tv shows?

If you go to <a href="http://www.dvdaficionado.com">DVDAFICIONADO.com</a>, type the name of the show you want and hit search; then click on the title and you'll be taken to a "price comparison" page for several prices on the internet. :)
