Yes disclosedtruth mentioned that, thanks though. You painted those? Wow they look really nice, would you say you have mastered the art of airbrushing these pvc's? You did airbrush them right?

^ nope, not airbrush...

I used regular brushes and acrylic paints, and did a bit of a black wash (black paint thinned with water) for the dark areas (shadows and wrinkles, etc.), and some drybrushing (a lighter color of paint over darker, with very little paint on the brush) for the highlights (hair and so on.)

I also used a clear matte finish for some areas, and a glossy finish for others. Natsume (I think) on the You're Under Arrest set had a red shirt, and I used a sparkle glaze for that. The palmtop computer that Miyuki (I think) is holding has the sparkle glaze on the screen, and even an Intel Inside logo...

Hi Disclosedtruth, here are some pics of the Rei Ayanami poster I told you about. I remember my mom bought it for me, it cost $15 my brother was pist off! I was gonna post some pics of old drawings I had and some pencil boards, but accidentally deleted them. Sorry about the flash.

The poster had some corner splits when I purchased it, but I repaird them and asked my aunt to laminate it for protection and preservation. The good thing though is that the laminate plastic peels right off.

Is anyone reading manga anymore??

I recently snagged a few titles, and I have been reading the Slayers novels again. I had 1-3, and 5-6, but not 4, so I filled in the gap and re-read 1-3 in one day (while my mom was in surgery.)

I also filled some gaps in my DeathNote series, so I have 1-9 now, although I have only read 1-3. I will probably read the whole series (up to 9) in one sitting.

I have decided to concentrate on completing certain series, and putting others on the back burner until the first ones are complete (or caught up to what is released.) I was buying many series, and not really completing any of them!

The ones I am working on right now are:
.hack// novels (A.I. Buster, etc.)
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad - there are 27+ in this, but I only have 2.
Bleach - another long one, I only have 1-4.
Clamp no Kiseki - There are 12, but I only have the first one... At $30 a pop, these will be expensive (come on sales!)
Culdcept - only 5 here (I have 1) so this should go quickly.
DeathNote - 13 titles, and I have 9, so hopefully these will be finished soon.
Full Metal Panic! - I have the first 8 of 9 books, and 2 out of 5 of FMP Overload!
Kingdom Hearts - I plan to get the box set (1-4) although I may wait on Chain of Memories.
Legal Drug - I have the first three, although I am not sure how many more are out.
MARS - I need to finish this 15+1 book series.
Negima! Magister Negi Magi - I only have the first 4 of 15+
Planetes - I only have 2 out of 5.
Psychic Academy - I have 6 out of 11.
RG Veda - I need to get almost all of these (2 of 10.)
Remote - I only have the first one, of 10.
SGT. Frog - I only have 4 of 13+.
Slayers Novels - I have 6 out of 15...
Tokyo Babylon - I need 4 more of the 7.
Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle - Only 3 out of 15+
Tuxedo Gin - I have the first 10 of 15, so I will probably get these soon.
xxxHOLIC - I only have 3 of 10+ on these...

I just found out that Steamboy is coming out on blu-ray. A specific date has not been given, but I am looking foward to purchasing it once it comes out. Has anybody seen this film? I have not, but I saw a trailer and it looked pretty damn amazing. We should keep track of all the animation movies that will come out in blu-ray.

Anime is amazing...in general. :) Unfortunately, I only just started getting exposed to it fairly recently with my Japanese class I took this past year at my high school. At this point, I've basically only seen a few Ghibli films as well as the shows InuYasha and Yuyu Hakusho. I'm hoping to see others eventually though!

I recommend you see Metropolis. This movie is incredible. It's drawn 80's style and the scenery and computer graphics are top of the line. I highly recommend it, it's really sad too.

I'm not anime crazy, but I certainly like some anime. My favorite manga is the Doll series. It's bittersweet and insightful. The first story in the first book succeeded in making me cry, because it hit close to home. (Twas about a successful yet unhappy woman who died from bulimia. One of the life size and lifelike dolls was the only "person" who really cared about her, and he was burned by power hungry villains. I won't give away the ending.)

finally a topic about one of my favorite genres of tv.
my favorites are:
DBZ
DBGT
Bleach
Case Closed
Inuyasha
Full Metal Alchemist
the Ghibli Films
Sailor Moon

i really like Anime because its not really for kids but its not really for adults at the same time. i also like it for the fact that demons are put into a good light in most of them like Inuyasha. i also like it because it's not common here. but i really hate how people always put it down espesially the really good ones like Dragon Ball Z.
members i like:Jasmine1022, Lazario(when he's in a good mood), Escapy, Prudence, Blackcauldron85, Anthony, and Mason Ireton.
Members i dislike: Lazario(when he's in a bad mood).

I loved Sailor Moon when I was younger; I wanted to be Sailor Mercury. (I'm more like Sailor Pluto, when all is said and done.)

i had watched it until before Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto even came but that was only because it went off the air for some time like DBZ.

I can't remember if I've posted here or not  Oh well, I'll just have to post again.

Here's what I watch currently

Full Metal Alchemist (on and off depends if I remember)
Sailor Moon (the non-dubbed version is the best)
Yu Yu Hakusho
Chobits
Digimon
Pokemon (only the odd time now though)
Inu-Yasha
Naruto (on and off)
Card Captors
GateKeepers

Anime Movies I Like/Have Seen

My Neighbor Totoro
Castle In The Sky

Other then that I read the Manga as well, examples of what I've read are:

Tale of The Moon
Sailor Moon
Yu Yu Hakusho
Shaman King
Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Z
Kingdom Hearts
Cardcaptor Sakura

Thats all I can think of right now, I'll post an update in a few days or so when I remember more.

You're seventeen, and your mother won't let you buy your own short books? That's bizarre. My mother thinks I'm "too old" to collect Cinderella books and Junie B. Jones books, but I'm the one buying them. Most manga is designed for more mature readers, at least.

Tell your mother that's she's lucky. She could have me for a child! After all, we are the same age.

For any Sailor Moon fans who haven't seen the original finale for Season 1, here's links to the three parts of Episode 45 (in order). It's kind of sad, but the title of the episode gives away what happens which made me mad

I can't believe how the Americans butchered the episodes.

The American company DiC cut out a lot more than you would think, here's a link to a great site that lists each Dubbed episode and breaks it down to the minute here's the link

In my opinion Sailor Moon S is the best season next to the first season. There is a scene where Chibi moon is having a nightmare of Hotaru on a cross being dragged down by black hands. To bad sailor moon came oput in the US before adult swim existed, they would have treated it with the respect every cartoon deserves.
