Did they use actual footage from the Disney movie, or did they create their own live action stuff for the commercial? Since you say some may consider it blasphemous, I'm guessing they used real footage from the movie and digitally added the sneaker and basketball? If so, I'm really interested in seeing this.

And notice on your Bambi (and all the other Platinum DVDs, except Snow White) say 2-Disc Special Edition under the title. That is for people who don't understand Platinum Edition  :)...In a nutshell it is just saying it is 2 Discs...

Has there been a Platinum DVD since Beauty and the Beast that didn't merit the question? And we used to assume that "Special Edition" referred to the new cut of the film, and "Platinum" to the DVD. Now we know that Disney just likes to make people know that they are Special Editions...and yet also Platinum Editions.

Yeah they used footage from the actual movie itself. Yes the sneaker and basketball was added in. Like I said I thought it was really cool

Disneyboy (who posted this in this Cinderella III thread) has made an excellent discovery: some leaked specs for the Cinderella DVD (which were found at tlavideo.com)!

"Rags-to-Riches – The Making of Cinderella" Documentary
"The Cinderella that Almost Was" Documentary
"Disney's Nine Old Men" Documentary
"House of Royalty" Documentary
Cinderella stories from ESPN Classic
Deleted Scenes
Reconstructed Deleted Songs
Live-action to Film Comparison of Opening Sequence
1922 Cinderella Laugh-o-Gram
Trailers
Sneak-peek at the all-new movie Cinderella III
The Royal Life – Disney's most expansive animated DVD-ROM feature yet!
"A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" performed by Disney Channel Circle of Stars
"Every Girl Can Be A Princess" Music Video featuring all your favorite animated princess characters

Although the last four features make me shudder, the rest has me greatly excited. "The Cinderella That Almost Was" in particular sounds fascinating, and it's great to see that trailers will be included. Hopefully this means a complete press release is coming very very soon. So far, despite the crappy kiddie features, this release sounds pretty meaty. Who knows; maybe it'll end up being on-par with Snow White (it should at least be better than Bambi and The Lion King).

Starting to look promising. I just noticed that there is a Cinderella Gift Set coming out (from the text on the front page), which is great to see. However, it makes me wonder even more why they didn't do it with Bambi SE? From the sales, the demand was clearly there...

Cinderella stories from ESPN Classic? :? :o What? That's kinda out of place don't you think? (but then I'm not a sports fan)
