Moana 2

To be honest, it was a fine teaser. But there was nothing distinctive or special about it. My favorite part was the beginning with Moana at the beach. Aside from a shot where Moana bangs with her sticks in the cave (which looked less accomplished than the rest of the look), the animation was mostly good. Otherwise, the teaser felt mostly Deja Vu with both the premise and the setting (especially with Hei Hei, who was just as grating as he was in the teaser for the first movie). It`s tempting to wonder if Moana 2 will retread it`s predecessor too much and not being it`s own movie, as opposed to Frozen II. Cause Frozen II, despite following the footsteps of a behemoth, actually felt like it`s own movie and didn`t recycle the musical themes or the tone of it`s predecessor (even Arendelle looked somewhat different from the first movie). And a nitpick about Moana`s sister: Wouldn`t her parents be too old to have a second child?

As for the second poster, I liked it. Despite how it reminded me of the poster of Treasure Planet. But perhaps it`s a shallow synergy of mine, due to how the first Moana was a Musker/Clements movie?

If that's the case then they should have done this movie with Moana's daughter then it would have been a true DTV sequel. However, what if Sotiris is right and the sassy new girl is Moana's protégé so she's basically the new "Moana" and Moana is the new "Maui"?

Maybe, I don't know. The common aspect ratios for theaters are either 1.85 or 2.35, like the original Moana, so I think if this had been planned for theaters from the beginning they would have used the same aspect ratio, like Ralph and Frozen did.

You might be right, though its not unheard of to change aspect ratios on a sequel. Toy Story 4 didnt match the others either.

I also liked the second teaser poster. It's a bit reminiscent of the Treasure Planet one, but I think that was completely unintentional. The similarity is due to the common sailing theme. I hated the first teaser poster. Having the composition spell out the number '2' was tacky.

Ditto. They should have done a better job with the new girl's look, in particular. Her character design is not very appealing.

True . But since a Disney Princess isn`t allowed to have her love interest anymore, she`ll never become Moana`s daughter. Despite how it would`ve been more exciting to see an actual Disney sequel use this trope, as opposed to a cheapquel.

It was most likely unintentional . But hey, I know it was shallow to mention it, but at least the comparison is inevitable. For the aforementioned reasons.

I couldnt bare his clumsy Design so i decided to make him hot :

THATS real juicy disney Prince Material. He looked ok until I drew his mustache and it made such a difference! I also made his clothes more vibrant so he doesnt look like a random background character. The creepy fact of the day is that I had to cut out Moanas iris and place them on his to make his eyes Pop out more. And I colored his necklace because it was too monotone


The grandpa looks interesting and outstanding enough, and i suppose hes more of a grumpy character so his pale colored skirt is fine,  but the New girl? Looks like as if u would ask AI to make Rapunzel and Moanas daughter. I think i cant save her other than making her clothes more vibrant

Moanas Outfit looks great tho. I dare to say its superior than her Signature outfit, the contrasting colors with the bright white, and the pure red, it looks so good and interesting!

She has a highlight in her hair, so we already know she's cool and edgy.

They chose to sort of ignore the ending of the original because they needed Moana to go off again on her own, away from the rest of the villagers to have her new adventure.

this made me angry as we could have had a new dynamic with her father joining her this time or something now that he opened up about sailing it would have been cool seeing a father/daughter roadtrip thing after 30 years again with Goofy Movie being the first ans last its always the main character and her quirky friends instead of with her family or somethin

That would have made the premise for a sequel much more interesting, for sure. Especially since her dad was also a voyager in his youth. It would have been neat to explore the approach each of them has in regards to sailing and the potential clash that might have caused.

Frozen 3 is a movie made to sell dolls and costumes. I doubt that they dare to do it because kids would loss interest on her.
About the teaser I have to say that it looks good but I didn't find anything interesiting on it. I hope that the have a good story because if they don't attract people they can flop again at the box office. Most parents don't take their kids to theaters to safe money. They need something epic to change this attitude.

i would only expect them having a child at the end of the 4th finale, in the veins of the Lion King ending or something, not during the 3rd already as Kristoff and Anna still need time to prepare for their Wedding.
I mean...if Kristoff needs a whole sequel to propose to Anna , they will probably need atleast 2 movies to set the Wedding in motion, let alone having children

Never seen any trailer do this before.

Looks like this 1’s gonna be a massive movie at the box office this Thanksgiving, thanks to the success of Disney’s original Moana on Disney+.

And honestly, if the rumors are indeed true that Moana 2 being potentially a huge global smash could lead to Tiana becoming The Princess and the Frog 2 with enough money and resources put into it to make it fully 2D/hand-drawn animated, it should make however much money it’s gonna make, then.
