It wasn't listed in my local Sunday paper either at Walmart, there was just a little blurb about The Sorcerer's Apprentice coming out on Tuesday, but that's it! I, too, am assuming a price of $26.99 or $27.99, but I think they will price match if you have an ad.

I don't know if there is any extra incentive at Walmart this time, like they did with BATB and the Tangled movie ticket. Either way, I'm trying Toys R Us first this time, hopefully there isn't a million people there shopping.

So, the walmart that I normally go to didn't have ANY of the bluray release. Their excuse was a shipment mistake and that it looked as though they got double what they needed of the DVD-only release. I had to go to another walmart that was 20 more minutes away to pick it up, beyond all of that it ended up being $29.99, I didn't have an ad to price-match with and they wouldn't let me use my phone to look it up. Then I got it home and opened it up and the case is all busted on the inside, so now I have to return it! Right now, i'm not so happy with walmart and I think I'll just return it for my money back and go pick it up elsewhere.

What is it with Walmart and the DVD case copies? That's ALL they had when I went to get BATB, too! Plus, sales guy didn't even know there was a Blu-ray case version.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience at Walmart...it seems to be happening more and more often.

I picked up Fantasia and The Sorcerers Apprentice today for a total of 14.09 :) To be fair, I work at Toys R Us and also had a $5 off coupon as well as a $10 gift card from a previous Disney purchase. :P For those of you going to TRU to pick up your copies, look around the DVD section for a booklet with Disney DVD/Blu ray coupons in it. There's one for Fantasia and The Sorcerers Apprentice (Save $3 with purchase of another DVD/Blu Ray $14.99 or higher.)

Patrick, I have both the $10 coupon and a $3 off Fantasia Toys R Us coupon I got in a booklet when I bought BATB. Does Toys R Us typically allow customers to use multiple coupons? I read the fine print on the TRU coupon and it said nothing about using it with a manufacturer's coupon (the $10 off), it just said it can't be combined with another TRU offer.

Those of you who have an Ultimate Electronics store near you are really missing the boat on this deal!!

On Blu-ray before the use of the $10 coupon offer, both "Fantasia/Fantasia 2000" the four-disc collection, and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" are only $23.95. Present the coupons for both movies and they are only $13.95 each and plus you get a $5 gift certificate when you buy both movies on the same ticket. I don't know about you, but this is like getting one of the Blu-ray combos for free!!!!

And you don't have to fight the crowds at TRU or Wal-Mart either.

:D

I went to Best Buy this morning and got a killer deal on the Blu-rays for “Fantasia” & “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and the Wii game “Epic Mickey”.

I matched the $26.99 price from TRU for “Fantasia” - $10.00 Coupon

I matched the 19.96 Price from Wal-Mart for “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” -$10.00 Coupon

Plus another -$10.00 when buying them together. For a total of $16.95 for both films. Or $8.47 each

I also bought the $50 game “Epic Mickey” and matched a local stores price of $39.99 and got -$10.00 for having bought “Fantasia” on the same receipt. I had to take care of all of this at customer service, but it was nice to get everything at such a great deal!

I am stunned by how beautiful the restoration on Fantasia is and also VERY please with the new version of the censorship. You will never know it's been altered now! :)

Yup! You can use as many as you have, they just can't be the same one. So if you have both manufacturers coupons, the $3 off, a $5 off and something like a 20% off, you can use them all as long as it still fits with the criteria of the coupon (i.e. transaction over $25 or $50.) :) And manufacturers coupons are a totally different thing. They're used after everything else and usually don't deduct from the total until after the store coupons are taken off.

Got mine at Walmart this morning. Fantasia was 29.96 (19.96 with coupon).

I was able to use my Sorcerer's Apprentice coupon for the 2-disc set which made it only 9.96!

I'm glad to hear that everyone has been able to get their hands on a copy so far. How was the selection at the stores you all went to, were there plenty of copies of both the Blu-ray and DVD cases?

Has anyone had the time to watch the film(s) yet?

I'm headed to Toys R Us in about an hour; really looking forward to getting my hands on this release! I remember the days before we even knew what the cover art looked like, and all of a sudden, it's on store shelves!

So I got the 4-Disc combo pack, and I am really impressed with the restoration for the original Fantasia. However, I noticed something and I'm wondering if it's my version or everyone's version that has this problems: This is on the DVD version (I haven't checked the BluRay disc yet). At 1:21:09, you see the green centaurette. Is 1:21:13-17 repeated again from 1:21:18-22? I saw the animation repeated twice before the pink centaurette appears. This is different on previous releases on the film. Does anyone else have this problem?

Picked it up at Toys'R'Us. Looking forward to sitting back with a glass of wine (or 2) and watching the first disc tonight after work.

Watched everything on every disc and have to say i'm impressed. Only two bad things: Destino looks AWFUL! Is it just the way it was filmed?? Also, the Disney Vault sucks! You can't even view the features to fill the screen. Can't complain for $6.99 plus tax after coupons, I guess.

Come on...it's only in release for a month? I don't believe it.

on Disneymovieclub.com it is listed among the titles that are being vaulted and the inserts for this in other movies even said very limited availability.

I went to TRU this afternoon and they didn't have any copies of the combo packs at all.

So, I went to Target and they did have them. $27.99 and $29.99, I believe they were. There was a deal if you buy both, you get $10 off. Plus the 2 $10 coupons, grand total of $29.66 for both sets. Not too bad.
