I think that if you got rid of Scar, Timon, Pumba, and the hyenas it would be absolutely perfect!! I would actually one of my favorite cover arts if it were real.

well, I designed it according Disney's (current at the moment) designs, not my tastes, I'd rather have just Simba and Mufasa there, and yeah, I see the colors too dark now. But hey, anything's betther than that horrendous cover came with. This new cover comes from the same dude that made BATB new DVD cover I know, it has the style.

Actually, isn't this Diamond Edition anymore?

eh...screw it. I'm just going to create my own covers using the more classy "less-is-more" promo art from the early 90's. Here are a couple examples...I'll probably ditch the blue diamond edition frame altogether when I make my high res versions for print too.

Here's a hopeful thought: for those of us NOT buying the 3D combo pack (unless that is all that is available), maybe the standard Blu-ray/DVD edition will have a different cover?

We've seen that Disney has 2 different style covers planned for the 3D and standard versions of Tangled, so maybe the same will be true for TLK. Although, I will admit that the difference between the two Tangled covers isn't so drastic that we can imagine a completely different TLK cover than what we've already seen...

You never know, the Snow White and Beauty & the Beast DVD's had completely different covers to the Blu Ray's.

I think the difference will be between the lone DVD and the Blu-Ray, you know? Like Beauty and The Beast, apparently the 3D version is the same as the Blu-Ray one.

I can only hope that the Diamond Edition's Blu-ray/DVD combo pack includes two BR Discs and one DVD.

The cover looks awful and the animation looks cheap, not an accurate representation of how epic The Lion King really is.

I seriously don't understand how the fan created cover art in this thread is 100x better than what Disney has paid to make.

....on the plus side, the colour-scheme of the cover looks nice :D

I wonder if like with Bambi 2 they will release The Lion King 1 1/2 +2
on bluray as well....

I am really excited to see this movie again, it's been too long :)

thanks, though all I really contributed to was placing the logos where they'd look best on a blu-ray size cover.

Here are a couple more of the upcoming blu-ray releases. I'm not as thrilled with these two as I am about TLK and BatB, as I have mixed feelings about the artwork, but I liked the concept of them so I thought I'd share them as well...

Guess they've given up on labeling them as Diamonds, also? How can such a huge company with endless resourcse at their disposale be so sloppy?

I Love these as well as your previous covers for TLK and BatB. Could I just pay you to print these out so that I can ignore that these hideous sideways titles ever existed? I also like how they all seem unique yet uniform. Good job!!!
