Well, when I said eras, I didn't mean eras in the Disney canon sense. I meant Princess eras. Cinderella is the center of Walt-era princess trio just like Belle is the center of the modern princess trio. That's really all I meant by it.

I see what you mean. Kind of Original Disney Princesses and Disney Princesses : The Next Generation.

I don't really see the big deal about Giselle already being put with the "Disney Princesses." I mean come on, it's been what? Almost 10 years since we had Mulan! Who isn't really a princess anyway..... she snuck into the group. In the coming years we'll have Giselle, Raqunzel, and the Frog Princess (whatever her name was)..... but the original princesses have already stood the test of time.... :P

I think it's cool, since even though it's only 10 mins of hand-drawn animation and the rest is live-action, Disney is really putting their all into this film; I was suspecting it might be a half-effort, but they're pulling out all the stops! And it was also worth mentioning since if she's a Disney Princess, she'll most likely be in the Enchanted Tales DVD series (which is what this thread is about). And Rapunzel may or may not be a Disney Princess, since she's CGI; although I suspect she'll either be the first CGI princess or they'll make a hand-drawn version of her for Princess products. And the Frog Princess' name is Maddy.

Maddy is a pathetic name for a princess.

There was a huge gap between Aurora and Eilonwy, though. I'll have to see Giselle's movie before passing any judgement, of course.

Oh... kay? That has to be one of the most unfounded judgements of my life. It could be a fake name, for the audition only (they do that sometimes, have dummy sides for the auditions), and even if it's not, it's the return to 2-D, so I'm excited.

And who's Eilonwy? Oh, is she from that aparently-awful Black Cauldron movie? I've yet to see it, to judge for myself, but I won't go in with high hopes.

True, but meh. I hope it's not her real name.

Eilonwy is from The Black Cauldron. It's not too bad. The original book serial was much better, though.

From what i've heard "there are some episodes of Digimon better than The Black Cauldron."

Well, I hate Digimon. To each his own.

So do I, and the person who said that. Ergo, (sp?) it's worse than Digimon, which itself is awful.

-shrugs-

I thought TBC was okay. It wasn't truly good, but twas okay. I might be biased because I had read and loved the books before seeing the movie.

Well, about this new series, I was definetely happy about it being announced because I LOVE AURORA. So, I'm quite happy and excited about the new animated story she gets.

And it's definetely a plus that the new series gets some merchandising. I'm DEFINETELY getting that new Aurora doll.

I feel Aurora has been getting more attention in the last couple of years. I've definetely seen her alone in merchandise. I actually feel Jasmine and maybe even Snow White don't get as much attention as Aurora.

For example, with doll releases, Aurora is usually included in new collections. I usually find a "Baby Sleeping Beauty" doll or "Little Sleeping Beauty" doll before Jasmine versions of these. The newest "Little princess" doll series has a petal/flower theme, and Aurora came out before Jasmine...I think I haven't seen Jasmine in this collection at all.
Aurora is much easier to merchandise than Jasmine because she fits the princess image better than Jasmine and she has a PINK dress (:))

In my opinion, the most used Princesses, in ranking order, are:

1. Cinderella

2. Ariel

3.Belle

4.Aurora

5. Snow White

6. Jasmine

Ariel takes over from all the Princesses in the summer, as she is associated with water etc etc, and Belle takes over at Christmas as the BatB sequal was all about Christmas.

mariadny, you should justify what you just said, and not leave a negative comment like that with no back up. Fair enough if its your opinion, but you should explain why.
