Either way, it doesn't matter, because this sounds like a great set! I can't wait for them to come out!
Yes, unfortunately, I'm sure the "10th Anniversary" show Bill Cotter referred to is the "Disneyland 10th Anniversary" show which is a double dip. There is still lots of room on the Your Host, Walt Disney DVD set for some more special contents - in spite of the double dipping of two shows previously released on DVD. "I Captured The King Of The Leprechauns" - previously released on the "Darby O'Gill ..." DVD is the other double dip.
I look forward to the full contents of this set when it is finally announced.

I am concerned that there is going to be little else on this DVD as 4 shows have already been advised. The Disneyland USA Treasure from Wave 1 only had 4 vintage shows on it. I realise the extras are to be advised, but I hope more vintage shows are on it as well featuring Walt... I am grateful for the 2 previously unreleased shows, but hope too see "Disneyland around the Seasons" and "Disneyland Goes to the World's Fair" along with the full version of "From the Pirates of the Caribbean to the World of Tomorrow ".
Kodak Presents Disneyland '59" featuring such celebrities as Clint Eastwood and Dennis Hopper in addition to a robust slate of Disney stars and Art Linkletter.
That has made me about the Happiest Boy on Earth.
ANYthing vaguely related to Disneyland on DVD is making me spin like a top, so I'm presently Loomis 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I, too, hope for a more complete Disneyland USA Volume 2. As you've said, there are plenty of Disneyland related things to go on with, and I'm sure there are some WDW lead-up specials that could be included on a wider 'theme parks' DVD.
GERSTEIN: Yes. Readers will note that the Walt Disney Treasures DVDs get a page of advertising in the pages of our Walt Disney Treasures TPB. In exchange, Leonard Maltin gave us a personal endorsement for the TPBs' back cover and offered me the opportunity to record commentary tracks for this fall's MORE SILLY SYMPHONIES Treasures DVD release. At least as of this writing, these commentary tracks mention Gemstone's Walt Disney Treasures TPBs.
well it seems official. the walt disney treasures wave six seem to have been delayed. in the release schedule it used to be expected in december. now they have been replaced by the true-life series. while the treasures are now dates to be announced. i for one am in a way disappointed because i really want them asap, but at the same time relieved because it will just be too much money to spend on all these series. i just hope they are not delayed by a lot.

I thought they had stopped offering discounts on WDT's at the Movie Club?
That was how I was getting all of mine but then they started listed them with asterisks stating they where no longer available with discounts.
Has this since stopped?
September 1, 2006 - Fear not, Treasures fans! Wave 6 is coming this December, only two weeks later than expected. The complete official titles have just been announced and they confirm what has long been expected. Arriving December 19th: The Complete Pluto: Volume 2, 1947-1951, More Silly Symphonies: Volume 2, 1929-1938, Your Host Walt Disney: TV Memories, 1956-1965, and The Hardy Boys: The Mickey Mouse Club, 1956-1957. As usual, each 2-disc set will be individually numbered, available in limited quantities, and contain introductions by Leonard Maltin and an exclusive lithograph. Check back soon for artwork!
I usually buy two sets of the Walt Disney Treasures - one pre-ordered through Amazon and one bought at my local Wal-Mart the day of release. I keep one set for myself and use the other set as gifts. I might have to give a "gift is arriving soon" card as Christmas gifts, because the Amazon pre-order will probably not arrive by Christmas. Yes, I "could" give my local Wal-Mart sets as gifts - but I'll be watching the sets as soon as possible after I buy them.
It is definitely a wallet hurter, but it also means it lessens my chances of getting them before Christmas.
I guess I'll either have to splurge on express shipping, or wait until the New Year. The latter option would be cheaper, and given the release of all the other DVDs around that time, not all that much of a problem. There is just something about the release of the Treasures that creates a sense of urgency amongst us fans, I think. Hangover from the days when we knew they were limited.
